Older casino but still a great time, especialy when vacationing on a budget!! Always get a nice pay out on the slots! Be sure to sign up for the players card, I received free play plus comp for the buffet, which is excellent! You also get coupons in the mail with great deals, monthly. My husband and I recently used the free 2 night stay coupon, they do ask for a $75 deposit but you get it back after check out. It was a great vacation and we spent very little!!

The room was clean and fairly large. The inside is a bit dated, but everything worked fine. No smell of cigarettes in the room, as some others have mentioned. Lots of parking, and it was a short walk from the inside elevator to the parking garage elevator. The room does not have a refrigerator, but there is an ice machine on the floor. No coffee machine in the room. Overall, not a swanky modern place, but definitely adequate.

When we first arrived we were charged 3 additional fees that weren't mentioned at all prior to booking the room.
Had the wrong type of room for us had to get that sorted out.
Got to the room and it was horrific, the room was so dirty and smelled horrible. The bathroom was covered in vomit and some other weird sticky substance. The toilet was dirty. Bedding had obvious stains and very odd smell. The other guests were screaming and carrying on through the entire night. The damn elevator was echoing in our room everY time it was used through the night. I ended up leaving at 3 am and just driving home rather than dealing with the nonsense!

I went to the sands with a friend who enjoys gambling there. I wasn't impressed. The people who work there are unhappy and miserable. On the plus side, there is a whole lot of security walking around but with some of the people that were in there....

The hotel is dirty.. Room service is hit and miss.. The fans and hair dryer are burned out in the bathroom. The rooms have no refrigerator or microwaves.. And this place needs to be cleaned up. Hot hallways and broken down ice machines. Is not good.. They need to invest in there own hotel..

Very smokey. As a non smoker my eyes, nose and throat hurt. Don't go to the Bingo room its worse. My eyes burned so bad when I went in that I couldn't stay to play. The ventilation is really bad here. We had a huge room, hard bed but best shower ever! The buffet Friday and Saturday night was very good and at an inexpensive price.

Lots of changes for the good are happening to the property. The choice for food is outstanding, have not had a bad experience with any of The places to eat. My Son attends UNR, so frequent visits to Reno happen all The time, and the price is right for rooms.

I had a higher rating of this place until I went to check in and realize that if you don't have a card that has your name embedded into the card they will not rent you a room.
So those of you that go ahead and carry a Global Cash Card which never has your name on it don't bother. But for those of you that do have a standard card with your name in bedded into the card it's fine and good to go it is a great place to stay low rates during the normal week they escalate during the weekends but meanwhile it is a wonderful place to go ahead and stay and great rooms.

Nice place to stay, but guest services leaves much to be desired. I called to ask about comp rooms. I was ask when my birthday was, and was promptly told I had no offers. My question is how would guest services know that by my birthday alone? I was never asked for my name, address or player card number. Can you imagine how many people go there that have the same birthday as I do? Extremely unprofessional!

Would not come here again, it is in the bad part of town and we saw two cars broken into while we were staying here. The only good thing about this place is the pool. Bebugs in the beds and the sheets were filthy

I stayed here over night, a last minute choice based on who had the lowest rates on the strip. One night here was $75 with taxes. The room we stayed in was decent. Clean and didn't smell like smoke. No coffee maker or microwave. The cafe downstairs does make a good mocha. Skip the donuts. You definitely know you are staying at the cheapest hotel the moment you get off the elevator. Would I go back? Only if I HAD to stay in Reno. Next time I go for fun, I'll pay a little more for a bit of luxery elsewhere. This casino provides none. Bring your own pillows because they have got to be using the cheapest possible ones.

Run, run fast, run away. I don't know if the rooms booked through EXPEDIA are a much lower quality than others on the property but they are horrible, outdated, with signs of previous forced entry. The door to my assigned room wouldn't even lock correctly and was held by a loose latch in the veneer covering, as the core of the door had been broken away where the dead bolt sits. Not my style! The casino crowd was "roudy" as I walked through to check in and immediately after seeing my room I checked back out. The facility charged my card for a "resort fee" even though I was only there long enough to realize this was not an acceptable place to stay.

The hotel is clean and staff is nice. The beds are more firm then I'd like and the pillows have no support. The rooms are quiet and dark, great for sleeping in. No microwave or fridge in the room, but you can get a fridge for a fee. There are a few food options which are not hard on the pocket.

Very old and out of date, you can't find any help at night it's like a ghost town in there, not a place for families or people with kids from 6-15yrs old, a lot of seedy activity going on . I personally don't like going there at all due to past experiences alot of criminal activity goes on and it's not hard to figure out it's in plain sight so not a place I would recommend!!

A little dated, improvements need to be made, but I love this place. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are clean. The staff is always willing to help you. The Buffet is not big, but it is good.

Great feel to this place, comfortably classic. Very nice polite employees and the rooms are very big, much bigger than the Silver Legacy, much more gracious feel to this place. The front desk people are fabulous, quick and friendly. The young lady who helped us this afternoon was tremendous. Reno is a great city and this hotel is excellent.

I would give a zero to this place if I could.
We ran into some issues on our way there and weren t sure if we could get there at all. Called them to see if we could change the reservation and encountered some of the worst customer service in my life. Not only did they not do anything to change our reservation but they were downright rude about it.
The pretty much spoke along the lines of, you made the reservation and now, we couldn t care less about anything. They, in fact, threatened to throw a no-show fee if we don t check in.

P.s: I don t usually leave reviews but these people pissed me off so much that, I had to leave a review so that people don t go through the same issues that we ran into.

Staff was friendly and they have parking. The buffet was a disaster and I don't recommend. Or at least, don't plan on getting a drink till you are almost done eating, along with the ordered steak. The buffet food was not bad, but I recommend passing on the steak. Make sure your room is not near an elevator shaft as the walls vibrate and it is noisy all night. Make sure you arrive early for check-in as there is a long wait, between 20 and 30 minutes.

Where do I begin.. no wifi, no comforter, no extra blankets or pillows, water flowing into the bathroom from the room upstairs, poor TV reception, pillow cases were yellow from age, ceiling covered with dust balls and ice machine out if order. Needless to say, I wont be back!!!!!

A/C is useless. TV service is blurry on most channels. Decor is so old its almost retro. Got it for 54 plus 10 resort fee. I feel I overpaid. Wifi is garbage unless you want to pay for premium, but that may suck to. Gorgeous view of El dorado
