We had the best time with the New World Celts Sarasota chapter at Celtoberfest!

Participated in LifeStory 10k. This is a fantastic venue for running, triathlon, and rowing. They also rent kayaks and single skullers for water sports.

Gorgeous area, lots of room and the playground is great for the little ones

Nice place to bike/run/walk. We spent the day fishing.

Took our 7 &10 year old grandchildren and we loved it . We went out on a paddle boat and had great exercise. Personal were great. Can't wait to go back

What a gorgeous venue! I was there for dragon boating regionals. The facility and park are SUPER clean, and the viewing tower offers a great sight.

I rode my bike, walked and shopped. It was a great venue for all...check out beautiful 10th Street

A beautiful facility! We attended a rowing competition some time ago and enjoyed it very much!! We would like to be able to attend and enjoy upcoming events but unfortunately we are unable to find any information about future schedules!!

Best park for walking and riding bike...only need bathroom on both sides

Great Park on the lake for everyone that want to do some exercise or just waking or seating on one of several banch and a nice playing area for the kids

Very nice scenic and modern area. Great place for a long walk, jog, biking, or to take the kids to the playground. It has a very smooth bike trail along a man made lake complete with bicycle repair stations. Apparently, it also serves as an official professional row boat racing area. It is completely modern, and the playground is very nice for toddlers up to pre-teens. I also believe that fishing is allowed as well. It's just a stone throws away from the University Mall, so it's a great place to stop by after or before a trip to the mall. Highly recommend if you're in the mood for a long g walk, ride, or just some place to take the kids.

Very nice place to exercise and walk. My one complaint is lack of water fountains. Especially for dogs. As far as I know there is only one for dogs and it s by the kid park. After that, we walked the entire path (3 miles) in the sun with no water. Next time I will just tote around a bowl for her.. Just wish I would ve known beforehand. Great park nonetheless.

Couldn't the county plant trees somewhere around the lake? It is a bit hot and no place to find respite when walking the east side along I-75. Maybe we can ask the County to plant trees in this area that they call a park. Benderson developes land, not preserves it, duh!

I use to fish here when us locals called it APAC! Now you can still fish there, but you can also row, jog, walk, and during the summer they even have kids programs! It's worth climbing to the top of the observation tower and enjoying the scenery. Oh yeah, the July 3rd celebrations are a blast, pun intended, to attend. I highly recommend any event that goes on at this wonderful park.

Attended the 2018 World Rowing Masters Regatta at Nathan Benderson Park, and it was a fantastic event. Terrific facility.

Went to the first morning of World Rowing Championship. Learned a lot about the sport and got some exercise, walking.

Nice place the new Tower is great, spectacular views! But being the sunblock and some shade!

From the kids playground to the rowing you can't go wrong with this parking so many things to do here

I attended a rowing competition here in February. It is very nicely set up for rowing. With a great spectator area and very orderly boat management and officiating. This is probably one of the best rowing venues around.

Is my best place amazing Park for distress, do exercise and enjoy walking. Only need music but is beautiful. I love much and enjoy. I invite any one to come

Good stuff. Walk the bridges and look at the flags. Eat at Tijuana Flats beforehand.

A nice biking and foot path. There are public restrooms available and the view is nice walking around the lake. There is very little shade, so be sure to wear a hat/sunglasses and bring water. I wouldn't recommend going alone when it's getting dark, but during the day it makes for a great family friendly outing. Dogs are also allowed if they are on a leash, so if the pavement is not too hot it's a great place to exercise and socialize your dog.

A great park to run in, it has a large pond for crew and looked like kayaks. Also a playground for the little ones. Been to three 5k races here and had a blast every time

Unless you like walking around a giant man made lake, with no restrooms, water, shade, benches, chairs, or anything else, this place is a waste of time.

An extremely large and sunny park built around a beautiful lake. Plenty of things to do while enjoying the beautiful scenery Florida has to offer.

3.2 mile loop around the rowing lake is a good walk. It would be nice if the restrooms were not just on one side of the rowing lake. Lots of activities normally happen here, so it's a good place in the weekend if you're in need of something to do

Nice area and 3.4 mile walking trail, asphalt and gravel trail available. Also, there are picnic tables and restrooms. Lots of events scheduled such as Olympic rowing trials and a triathlon.

Retention pond with delusions of grandeur. Pathetic facilities, no shade, and rude management. No reason to visit.

And I also have a courtesy car that drives you from the park to the hotel and to the mall every weekend Friday Saturday and Sunday Friday and Saturday is from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sunday is 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Love Nathan Benderson Park and the investment Sarasota county has made to promote the sport of rowing in our community

Benderson is a great park for walking, cycling, jogging or whatever. It's well maintained, and well used. I ride my bike there all the time.

Beautiful part that great for walking, running, and other outdoor activities.

Great place to walk and run. Bike lanes along the road as well. Play area for the kids looks nice and the Rowing facility looks to be near complete.

Very nice facilities for high school rowing events. Good access to food and shopping as the mall is right here also.

Excellent place to go if you want to get outdoors. There's a place to picnic and get out with the family. If you're interested in jogging, walking, bicycle riding you can go all the way around the lake. Nice concrete sidewalk. There's also the the world premier boat rowing races going on. Check website for list of next scheduled events and activities.

Clean park, no wood chips which is great o hate those, has swings, play ground, other cool toys, what I found very nice is a phone charging station bring the USB cord and charge you phone, tablets etc.....
