Just returned from a scary visit to the pediatric ER with our 19month old. She basically had the croup gone bad. From the get go everyone was kind, efficient and knew how to approach our daughter. Nurse Kelly was lovely. Dr. Tamarin was truly one of a kind -- my daughter is always terrified of the doctor (even her GP who she knows) and she loved him. In fact, she told me she didn't want to go home after 5 hours of treatment and observation (hooked up to monitors and being poked and prodded). Truly -- the medical treatment was great but their ability to work with a 19month old was outstanding!

My mom was at SGVMC ER today. The entire ER staff were amazing. They took really great care of my mom and displayed kindness and compassion. Th ER team provided outstanding quality care. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic my father and I were not allowed to stay with my mom, but whenever I call the ER nurse, she would update me on her condition. I truly appreciate every individual of SGVMC ER staff for their diligence and caring manner. Once again thank you SGVMC ER team, you all ROCK!!!
I just want to say that I am extremely grateful that we got Dora as our nurse. She was really kind to my wife and I. she s very attentive and helpful. Last year when we had our first we had her as our nurse as well and she does a beyond exceptional job. She is by far the BEST nurse any one could ever ask for and most definitely recommend for future patients to ask for her. I can guarantee they will not regret having her as their nurse. I STRONGLY recommend for San Gabriel hospital to give this hard work women a well deserved raise. I can assure you that sgvh wouldn t be the same without Dora. She makes your parenting experience that much better and the hospital as well ya us the patients are extremely lucky to have her on our side. Medical Hospital. Thanks to the labor and delivery staff. The recovery staff was excellent our Nurse Dora was very helpful attending to all of our needs made us feel like part of her family.
The stay was good I had my last son there 11/19/2015 I would still rather be at Huntington hospital because food at San Gabriel was HORRIBLE for patients I should not have to eat rice patties and tofu just because its an oriental area and they don't have a nursery

it is junk hospital , and the doctors are unethical. if you have any surgery, please don't go to this hospital untill you want to die. my cousin, died in this hospital in 7 years ago. and he lost the heart activity. when he went to that hospital, the heart active again. and the doctor said they can't save him. within 10 hours, no doctor come to save him. when he lost the heart active again, the hospital unplug all equipment right away--what the XX. last month, my friend had surgery on this hospital, and within 21 days, he kept fever, and went back to this hopital twice, and the hospital can't find any issue, and send him back home. finally , he went to another hospital, today, the new hospital said it is after surgery infection, and he come to the hospital on time, otherwise....... . Right now, he need the very expensive drug for the infection until 3 weeks. (the drug can buy a house :().
To , Dora nurse an amazing woman helped our baby girl helping us learn how to correctly Brest feed and help me concore our problem by teaching me how to correctly massage the breast so that the milk would come out. Then i able to feed her and her not haveing to have Jaundice and very grateful for her and any on haveing a baby I super recommend Dora as your nurse especially if your planning to breastfeed .

On 4/25/16 my son got cut on eye brow to get a 5 stick and doctor toll comeback 5 days to remove the stick. After the bill charges $780.00
i have insurance but i still need to pay $231.00
I called in to ask why coast too much for remove stick they said it charge on Emergency .

This hospital sucks. The nursing staff has absolutely no bedside manor. My appendix ruptured, I was hunched over crying in pain and they called everyone in before me. They weren't crowded... I guess since I'm not Asian they left me in the waiting room.
Dont go here if you have an emergency.

My wife was admitted here for elective surgery. During admission process they were all warm and hospitable. They made everything very clear, where to go. The they endorse you to the next person who is going to handle your case. I met with the anesthesiologist and the surgeon before my wife entered the OR. The physicians guaranteed everything will be ok. They pleasant experience.

Horrible experience. My mother has been there for about 4 days and has only been given a meal once, has not been offered any hygiene supplies, has not been given her medication that she needs, has to go to the restroom herself ( bc the nurses are too busy being on lunch and ignoring their responsibilities doing whatever tf they want) and she is a fall risk patient. Every time she calls the nurses station for help and for her basic care/needs, they come about 30 min to an hour and a half later. And when they do come they say she can do it herself and walk out. She was also told she needed an MRI 2 days ago and still has not happened. Was told she needed a blood transfusion at one night and it happened a whole day later without them letting her know what the plan is. Long story short, don t take your loved ones here. And as a family who is very familiar with the medical field, they are not fulfilling their duties. If my family had known, we would ve taken her to a different hospital where they give their patients the care they need and deserve and not just throw them in a room to forget about them.

Third baby I deliver here and I can honestly say the service is great. As a mom it's important to feel comfortable when you deliver your baby and while recovering this hospital always delivers just that. I want to give a HUGE shout out to My nurse Millie who helped me during my stay on postpartum. Words can not explain how grateful I am of her and her team Benny and John chiang my ob who helped bring my baby girl into this world I'm just beyond grateful ! Lydia the director is always checking in on us as well making sure everything was being taken care of and no complaints here ! Can't forget Liz down on labor and delivery and I wish I remember the nurse who helped me prepare for my baby to arrive as well ! Thank you all so much ! I leave tomorrow and it is bitter sweet I will miss mellie so much she is so wonderful ! Thank you mellie for EVERYTHING! you can tell you love what you do your so passionate to help and inform us mommies and including daddies hubby and I are grateful. Wish I can name everyone because everyone was great !!

Worst hospital experience ever. Please report bad doctors and nurses to their licensing boards for malpractice. Medical Board of California licenses doctors. Nursing Board of California licenses nurses. As for terrible hospital experiences, report to the Department of Public Health. Let s put rampant medical malpractice and ill-intentioned medical malpractitioners in check.
Hospitals scare me, after hearing that some hospital harvests peoples organs so they can sell it. I am not saying this hospital does that. But I got bad vibes from this place.

My grandma hurt the bone on her hand around 10PM. We get to this hospital right away for emergency care. HOWEVER! We were waiting for about 2 hours to get to see the doctor and he don't even get the solution yet!! It doesn't match the word "emergency "
I got a bad experience in ER. I got an US appointment at 08:15. Due to Saturday their X ray department was close. They refer me to go to ER instead. I wait till 09:00 than the ER staff try to help me to register but she can't find my appointment on the list. She try to add me in & she requested the Authorisation letter & my MD order . I didn't have the order on my hand so I went to my MD office try to get it & found out that the office was close due to long weekend. I called my MD & he told me to go back to ER & he'll give them phone order. By the time I went back & they said they will call their supervisor but they suggested me to come back on weekday because the supervisor didn't want to get the phone order. Finally the staff brought me to talk to her supervisor Carmen per my request. Than she finally promised to obtain the order from my MD. Eventually I had to wait in the X ray department & had it done and went home at 12:45pm. I'm so hungry & upset. It's only an 1/2 hour procedure & it ended up took half of my day.
Dora is very friendly, teaches me breastfeeding, teaches me to take care of children, treats my family with kindness and enthusiasm, and likes her very much.

On October the 1st will be a month that my brother Robert passed away he had leukemia to send him to a rehab close to his doctor clinic I've been telling them that he having trouble breathing they said maybe because of the rehab he kept the rubbing his chest and I knew something was wrong with him I used to tell the nurse he gets tired talking he can't breathe well they said the two plenty of tests and everything came out okay on the death certificate showed he had heart problems why couldn't they find the problems then and I used to complain to three nurses I have a proof of their names I am so disappointed hurt I lost my brother anyway I found that problem of his heart he was still baby here I will talk to him everyday and he will tell me I'm tired my chest hurts and it's still wanted him to do rehab walk around pick up weights you could tell his face he was tired he couldn't talk too long he was weak

So i was there in 2018 and Dora pressured me to write a review specifically using her name and didnt leave until i wrote it.
After alot of thought i decided to erase this. She was actually not professional she made me feel uncomfortable when she volunteered to teach me to breastfeed. She closed the door and started massaging my breasts to get the milk flowing she said i was in shock and didnt know what to do. Shes not an RN the RNs there never did such thing.
She also talked alot and cursed alot in spanish. At the time i didnt know what to do. After months i decided to edit my review and hopefully this helps.
Dora Cruz was very helpful and attentive very grateful for her service took well care of me and my baby's if you come to San Gabriel hospital ask for her very highly recommended the best of the best .
