Would not recommend this hospital.I went in for BTL surgery. Same day discharge. My doctor was great Dr.Jonathan Tam ,but the nurses are not professional. Many H.I.P.P.A violations. The nurse that took care of me after surgery had no bed side manners. All she wanted was to go home for the day. As much as I complained of pain she did not care to help .She helped me dress up while still in pain. She then got the wheel chair helped me get on it . Wheeled me to the main entrance hoping my husband was already there to pick me up. Once she realized he was not there yet, she got upset and said "He said he would be here in 20 minutes, it's been 20 minutes " . She then wheeled me back to the recovery room .Where I had to wait in the wheel chair because she had already cleaned up the bed I was in. (I do have to say a male nurse by the name of George heard me complain to my nurse and took it upon himself to call my doctor for pain med orders he was nice and compassionate). Eventually my husband came to pick me up. I was glad to leave. I couldn't wait to get home to take Advil to help control my pain.

Really recommend this hospital for baby delivery. Just had my first child and was amazed at their level of care for my wife and child. The nurses had no problem answering all our questions and demonstrating how to swaddle and latching techniques. Great experience!

From Alhambra hospital ER days after I take my daughter with a very high temperature of 104.1 I believe so now I'm at San Gabriel hospital ER with my daughter did check her temperature and they also give her some tylenol medication to bring down the temperature they sent her home with a prescription of medication and she still sick for a few days with a high temperature going up and down so I decided to go to Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena. She was submitted right away first thing they did take an xray of her chest and they found out she had pneumonia one thing Alhambra Hospital did not do or San Gabriel hospital did not do also. The doctor right away gave her an IV for dehydration and also and IV of antibiotics to cure the infection she was camped there for over 6 hours making sure that she got well two doctors for looking over her they will not release her unless she got better something that Alhambra hospital did not do or San Gabriel hospital I don't even give a star. I highly recommend Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena and I give it 5 stars. They care about your children health my daughter is doing well now and I'm thankful doctors at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena God bless them both for caring for my daughter.

My bf went in feeling faint which is very unusual ...

My bf went in feeling faint which is very unusual for him. He end up having a seizure in the lobby and complained of chest pain. Said it felt as if his heart was hurting, as well as his temple. They never referred to him having a seizure only as him fainting. They didn't give him an ekg or an eeg and said they didn't want to give him a cat scan and expose him to unnecessary radiation, as they thought he was too young to be having a stroke. I even asked later on if they'd run a test on brain activity and they said no. In the lobby it's just the security with you and everyone else is behind closed doors.

After the security knocked on the door and told them he had a seizure, when we went in the back the nurses were joking about "no more security diagnoses". Which at first I paid no attention to and didn't realize was said towards our situation. My bf with his eyes open was spasming with his whole body his left arm curled up to his chest and kind of snapped out of it when I ran to lean him back off of my son, yet they never asked exactly what happened or how he was twitching or to describe his movements.

They released him for dehydration but upon coming home we realized he had a huge red spot on his back, which was never checked. ( Now he did complained of his side hurting but didn't specify it was the back). We don't know if it's a bruise, rash or what. Granted we were in there for only about 4 hrs, which I thought we'd be there for days at least. Its been a total of 24 hrs and my bf does feel way better than before but his dizziness is coming back, and his heart is still hurting. It never went away. We are definitely going to see his Dr today if not go to another hospital for care if he gets worse.

Now the Dr and nurses did seem nice. They werent rude. They did have him go to the back and immediately hook him up to check his vitals but i think they could have ran more test on him. Maybe perhaps physically escort him to the back and not have him walk alone in case he fainted or had another seizure. I thought anytime you have a seizure or complain of heart/chest pain certain test are just automatic. I think if we ever have another emergency we will try our efforts to go to a different hospital no matter the extra mileage.

Just think it's kind of rude to joke about "no more security diagnoses" when the security and the other patients were the only witnesses of what actually happened. Not to mention since it's an emergency room maybe you should atleast have your blinds open to see what emergencies your patients could be having.

Went to the emergency room because of stomach pain...

Went to the emergency room because of stomach pain turns out it's appendicitis. Some staff are really nice.... others not so. My nurse didn't treat me well. They prepared me for surgery without my permission or consent. One dude give me a chest X-ray and said it's for FEVER, but it was for operation use! Another dude was gonna draw 4 small bottle of blood and he said he didn't know what it's for, but it w also for surgery! When the surgery doctor came, he almost harassed me to do the surgery and said I'm gonna die if i don't do surgery because my appendix might explode. AND HE SAID "I COULD HAVE WENT HOME AND HAD DINNER WITH MY FAMILY BUT I GOT A CALL AND I CAME." I mean who cares about ur family? U choose this job and this is what u do! Doctors name is Dr.Tran he is Vietnamese.(I'm not racist, just giving u all a heads up) he also said if u sign the AMA or the discharge paper "u can't sue us... I mean u can but ur not gonna win(laughing)." honestly I felt threatened by my nurse and the surgery doctor. It was like they want their money so bad. PLZ DO NOT TRUST EVERY WORD THEY SAY. THE NURSES AND DOCTORS ARE BIASED AND THEY WENT TO GET MORE MONEY SO THEY MAY WORSEN UR SITUATION. I WENT TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM ONLY THEREFORE I AM NOT SPEAKING ABOUT EVERYONE IN THE FACILITY. I really hope this can help other people.

Absolutely the worst hospital experience I seen. My wife was admitted lasr night never spoke to a Dr the nurse is the one who gave her results of the CT scan and said a Dr would be in to go over the results .that was last night . today at 11am she told the nurse to sign her out because up to then she still never saw a Dr .and from 6am till she rang the bell didn't see a nurse all morning after 6am .when my wife told the the nurse she wanted to leave the nurse stated she had to talk to the Dr first. Well again a waste of time as his only response was "it's a free world you can do as you please" so with that she signed out and left with any test results from the night before so none the less we had to leave just horrible experience .
Hopefully this will help somebody

There are several concerns I have regarding my dad stay at the hospital. A majority of the nurses there do not do their job. I notice that they are always hanging out by the nursing station for hours doing who knows what. When ask to do something for the patient it takes FOREVER! Don't get me wrong some nurses are caring but others just don't care. I feel like families trust these nurses and CNA to take care of the patient when the family isn't there but that isn't the case. The nurses don't listen to the families request. They brush us off until something happens or we complain. My dad was suppose to get better but I feel he left there worst. The hospital should seriously re-evaluate the staff. However, Carlos the CNA was extremely caring along with Ani the nurse.

My mom was inpatient for several days here & although many of the nurses and CNA s were nice....the social workers and doc in charge of her care was a joke. I would get a call saying she s being discharge tomorrow, can you come at 1:30? So I would rearrange things and then get on the road (an hour drive) then get a call oh she s not getting out till tomorrow...or next Monday this went on for several days. When she finally DID get out, I asked if all her belongings were ready and they said yes of course....and her meds had been sent to the pharmacy near her home...so I drove her home. The problem didn t start until she wanted to stop to get some money at the ATM and we realized her atm card, senior ID, social security card, Medicare card, house keys (on lanyard) etc were gone from her purse. We called them and asked and they claimed they didn t have them so we paid a huge lock out fee and re-key fee to her apartment complex....not to mention the fact that oh yeah - the doctor NEVER E SENT HER PRESCRIPTION SO NOW SHE HAS NO MEDS!!!!!! I wouldn t send my cat here!!!!

At Labor and Delivery the staff was excellent. I was admitted for high blood pressure observation and the nurses were very caring and attentive. The rooms were very nice and clean. They also made sure my husband was very comfortable. I was sent home then returned once again and they were great. The 3rd time I was admitted, i had bronchitis and the nurses made sure I was better before transferring me to get my c-section. Everyone post partom was excellent as well except for 1 nurse who for left me completely unattended for a shift. But other than that everyone was very professional and caring from the CNA' s to the nurses to my Dr.. Even the people from the kitchen brought my husband and I a special congratulations dinner with Apple cider and cake. Excellent!

TO INDIVIDUALS INVOLVED IN YOUR CARE OR PAYMENT FOR YOUR CARE
We may release medical information about you to a friend or family member who is
involved in your medical care. We may also give information to someone who helps
pay for your care. Unless there is a specific written request from you to the contrary,
we may also tell your family of friends your condition and that you are in the hospital. UNTRUE. LAWS BEING BROKEN.
I called on my live-in spouse whom I am medically responsible for, and the"self-described NURSE who i.d. self as PAUL GARCIA" said only talk to patient's family (brother, sister, and parents). NO INFORMATION given otherwise, sorry....
I asked when patient be back so I can visit, PAUL GARCIA said "NO INFO released to you. YOU are not family....."
When I brought my spouse into the ER, he had pneumonia and shortness of breath, lay there in hospital room for 2 hours before a M.D. came to look in. Patient lay there for 3 hours and RN nurse stated "I'll take him up to the room. I asked what room when RN came in, RN stated "NO ROOM. Have to stay in ER bed until a bed opens up." Staff should be more professional and not lie about their facility. Care is substandard. SUCH A DISAPPOINTMENT. Be sure to go elsewhere next time.
Patient rep got patient to sign "MEDICARE paperwork. I stated patient has 100% health coverage, no need to sign. Patient rep said, no--need signature still." SOUNDS really criminal medical facility making ill patient sign without reading.

My mom was in and out of this hospital 2 times over the past 2 months. It was a horrible experience. I am highly disappointed in the first responders at this hospital. I expected better care considering the fact that the entire public is relying on them to care for our loved ones since visitors are not allowed at the moment.

First of all, it was extremely hard to get a hold of the nurse caring for my mom. I had to call and get transferred multiple times to speak to the exact nurse taking care of my mom. Then when I would ask questions/updates, most of the nurses didn't even know what was going on. The nurses also talk with such condescending and demeaning tones. My mom also had a hard time getting help going to the bathroom because the nurses would neglect her. My mom ended up barely eating since no one would help her go the restroom. It's so terrifying knowing that things like this actually happen in hospitals - a place where you would think your loved ones are safe.

Please skip this one and try another hospital. It's not worth the headache.

Was transported by ambulance to ER and then admitted. The staff at ER were great. Everything ran smoothly and they made a decision to admit me pretty efficiently and transferred me to the cardiac floor. The doctors here are very knowledgeable. (I hate to say it but more than many I have had in the past, but it is a fact!) The nurses here are very concerned, helpful and act like they care about their patients and like what they do. The transport team was great too. I was taken by Josh, who is part of the transport team countless times for MRI. Jose, the MRI technologist was very nice and professional.

Sorry I'm not crazy about the food. But as we know it's an on going joke about hospital food...Hahaha...2 of the night my friend brought me soup for dinner.

They used to have private rooms even though it was classified as semi-private because of shared restroom or non-shared restroom. Now the rooms are really semi-private where you are sharing with another patient. Sometimes it was hard to rest with the other patient in the room due to them yelling or calling for the nurse really loud or having personal conversations really loud or having the volume for the TV really loud all the time. I hope that the hospital would consider going back to the other setup. All the hospitals I have been in recently are setup with one patient per room so the patients can get better rest.

Overall I think this is a nice facility. If I was to get sick and needed to be hospitalized, I would consider coming back to here.

This hospital was a+ at one time but now unfortunately they don't care about the kind of care u get. I went in for severe back pain after 19 yes 19 back surgeries (12 ) that were performed there while being triaged the nurse Ben rolled his eyes and looked out the window the whole time I was describing my pain and letting him know I was just diagnosed with epilepsy. They attempted to fast track me while my blood pressure was 172/134 the nurse or dr gave no concern to this they attempted to give me an x-ray with no pain meds. Then the nurse came in with a Norco it was a joke like that would touch my pain. After my husband contacted Paul Garcia who is head of ER they moved me to the back where they finally got the pain under control after 3 hours. Sadly 2 weeks later I had to return again to the same hospital because my orthopedic surgeon works out of that hospital.i returned due to me hitting my tailbone (that has been broken 2 times already) against the spout in the shower my blood pressure was 177/119 the first time and 162/139 minutes later. I waited in the waiting room for 1 hour after being triaged with these numbers the Dr's didn't seem to care. Once I got to the back my nurse Anne came in hooked me up to the blood pressure machine and it was 190/153 the machine was buzzing making all kinds of noise for at least 10 minutes while I was ignored. The dr finally came in 45 minutes after I was put in a bed and after my husband called the er charge nurse because my daughter was scared I would have a seizure or a stroke with that high of blood pressure she called her dad at work. Suzie the x-ray tech was the only kind and gentle person I had that day. Dr Rico and his PA were as rude as possible. Both my experiences there I felt like Noone cared and very prejudiced against and made to be felt like only a drug seeker I'm sorry ur blood pressure explains it all and that is something u can't fake my pain was real but no one cared about my pain or wellbeing needless to say I will not b going back there

Had a wonderful experience! The staff is awesome and is always looking out for all its patients! There's no need in some cases to ask for services as the staff is on top of your care and needs. Not to mention that they are super friendly and down to earth! Couldn't of asked for a better birth and delivery location and experience than the one that I received. No demand or need for care was ever overlooked or disregarded- it was prioritized and quickly met! Would definitely recommend this hospital to anyone giving birth ! If I have more kids I'm definitely coming back!!!

This hospital the most incompetant hospital ever. The doctors both names Dr. Lee should not be practicing medicine as when my husband came in for some treatment today they told me he has lung cancer which is a lie and told me a lot of past historys. They never did ask me what current medications he is on or currently taking and decided to give him a shot of thoradol in the throat. I had him discharged immediately as it caused him to vomit several and break out from a drug or allergic reaction from the shot given in the throat. Expect abritration and a law suit to be filed against this hospital as your staff totally made him itch badly and scared the bejebbers out of him. No care or concern for the patient and violation of hippa act. I took him home and he is resting confortably in bed then whar this hell hole drs and hosptial did to him.

Both Dr. Lees will be under investagation for medical mal practice!!

I don't like how the emergency rooms house more than one patient. There is absolutely no privacy there besides a curtain. I heard everything that was happening to another patient. It's a bit unnerving when the RN just recites what's exactly on the lab report instead of using simple terms non-medical people would understand. I felt like they were practically trying to side-step giving me answers.

I've been here many times! I'm a lupus and dialysis patient who has had many surgeries here....nurses, doctors and staff are ALWAYS very helpful, informative, and friendly!! They have contributed to keeping me alive and I'm blessed and grateful to all of them! During one of my surgeries last year my nurse in the surgery room held my hand the whole time because I was so scared! I'll never forget that! If you've had a bad experience here...you probably were a rude and impatient person lol!
