Filthy...good connections if Clear....a shame to Mr. Booth....but....a place to get out of the cold.
Got to do what you got to do bless this place for being here for us
Crossroads provides me a safe place to sleep at night.
Racist place staff is disrespectful an swear atpatrons
Better not report anybody trying to fight you if you stay here theyll throw you and person that was fighting you out.
Its good if ur not making this place a permanent home....doors open at4:00 stays open until 11 at night you can rent a bed for $60 a week like I said it's just good at if you're just passing through
Bugs. Colds. Tyrant staff. Meaning well with lots of room for improvement.
I've come here on multiple occasions and you can never find anyone in charge, then they proceed to scoot you out the door as if you were too demanding for asking questions about what they even do there.
The few nights I stayed at Crossroads was an experience that I will never ever forget.I can not believe that the Salvation Army DHQ Commanding Officer allows this kind of abuse and behavior to go on by the staff. They curse everyone out, threaten to bar if you don't agree with them, they say on website they give a warm meal at night and hot breakfast, well if soup is considered a meal then so be it,mostly broth, never any protein, then the best breakfast in town, yep, oatmeal, bland at that every morning. They have a storage room on what they call the dry side, well evry night staff goes in and removes caese of Arrowhead bottled water, case of Oreos, along with other food items and it goes out front door into a car,now mind it,this is mostly done after 8-9pm.Where is it going? Yeah alot of shady stuff going on at the Crossroads,Colonel needs to investigate.
I didn't give this 5 stars because it was "great", I gave it 5 stars because it met my needs. I needed a safe place to sleep that was warm, and had bathrooms and showers. Rules and expectations were reasonable and enforced equally. The paid staff were pretty helpful and approachable. Volunteers, however, were utterly useless. They were difficult to engage with, and unwilling or unable to answer basic and simple questions. This is a place where good people are doing a difficult job. A good temporary solution, not for the long term.
Great place to get the stepping stones you need to get your life back on track... Kudos to you
A little bit of drama and every personalty in people you'll find there
A very dedicated and hard-working staff serving the Metro areas disenfranchised.
Stayed here a while was not bad hot showers church services were good staff was good . I would go back if need be thank you Salvation Army
Good spirit helping people to get on their feet and sharing the word of god.
Bed bugs rats diseases cats, expired food is given to the homeless even people that volunteer there have to eat out dated food and expired food there are drugs it is an unsafe environment. Drugs alcohol drugs are sold out of there, and the workers are disrespectful and rude.
They are very helping getting adults to do the right thing in their lives I am very grateful that they took my son in and started him on the road to making better choices for his future. I have never been in this place SO I don't know what the set up is. Thank you staff for making this possible and hope for all that is concerned.
Homeless shelter that I wouldn't recommend to stay at, among the homeless I know of...its known as "THE BED BUG INN"
Bed bugs are horrible if you have to sleep on a mat
I have actually tried to sleep at this facility, because imagine what; yep you guessed it, I got homeless. This temporary, yet dificult situation & decision, is & will always remain a voluntary condition. James Lee Lewis II, will not, nor cannot, ever be forced, "homeless." Personally, I don't care one bit if you believe that last statement or not. It still won't change this fact. This would also include any & all individuals whom delusionally, consider & or portray themselves, as having considerably more power & influence then they actually possess.
However, the purpose of this review is not about me or even what others perceive about me. This review is focused on those unfortunate individuals that have hearts, souls & feelings, as most people do, minus the resources. As previously mentioned, I attempted getting a nights sleep at The Crossroads Center on 3 seperate occasions. Each & every time I was awakened by, what felt like, bugs or insects crawling on me. The latest incident occurred, 08-21-18. Onsite staff took the report. I was offered another mat on the floor but declined as I had on two previous occasions. Off into the lonely dark night I went, carrying only my backpack, my wallet & my dignity.
Apparently, everyone that stays or sleeps there knows that the place is, for lack of better wording, infested with bed bugs. This is where I end this review. I charge my cell phone outside the shelter but I do not enter the shelter. I learned my lesson.
Was forced to live there, (parole). Wouldn't wish it on an enemy of mine.
I would like to THANK this place it saved our lives at time of homeless . Most of the staff was friendly and but could improve and just be more pleasant. We are all homeless so DON'T throw your self at us just cause u work there u also was homeless and probably still are but u act like your not because u work there. There an OLD SAYING I u to hear in the retail business.
( BE NICE TO THE PEOPLE ON THE WAY UP BECAUSE U WILL MEAT THEM ON THE WAY DOWN )
I like to thank Chris and the social workers for accommodating when I had my leg cut off.
I'm sure get paided per person who stays there and more if they are a Veteran. I would hope the KITCHEN know how to cook just SOUP ( NO FLAVOR ) AND WHEN u get a sure plus of CHICKEN try and spread it out don't feed it for 2 months in a row.
THE KITCHEN SURE COULD USE MORE HELP.
Feet meats sometime like Hamburger or pork chops.
If you are going to set up a MEDICAL ROOM and make people or agency pay u to house these people in need of SPECIAL NEED them make your business ( HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE ). But grab bars in Bathrooms and MAKE the SHOWER ADA.
There is no shower benches in the shower and if there was u you probably couldn't reach the shower on & off switch . I stay there but had to shower ELSEWHERE.
It is a good shelter for homeless people you can help your self to get on your feet, make sure you find a job .
Bed bug infestation i killed over 50 as they were walking on the floor. Need to be closed down. Bathrooms were nasty people were very unhelpful. Tried volunteering key word tried. Not ever going back.
Great place to stay when it is cold and you are stuck out.
I had to edit this because three days ago I was there at 5:20 and on time to check in... But they didn't let me in and I had to stay on the side of the river... Thank God I found this dirty and frozen blanket that kept me a little warm with the help of my litter... I had good comments about crossroads, not anymore.. I thought they were human a d cared for us homeless. I don't understand how they still let people in very late even when they come in drunk as hell. Now I am staying at somebody's house because I got a cold thanks to this.
Loaded with bugs. Most of The staff I have observed are badly trained and have ugly attitudes. The people who do the check ins are very nice and seem to be very polite
You have to wait till 4:30 to get in and out by 8:00 am even if you have a bed

I was there with my church, Arvada 7th Day Adventist to serve the people in this shelter. Salvation Army is doing a tremendous job of helping people recover and rejoin the world. They are truly looking out for His lambs.
Lost my job because of their bed payment times, tons of bed bugs and thieves run rampant. Terrible place
An ok place, certainly the cheapest option for this area.
Not a great place some great staff billy housing is one
I wasn't part of the homeless experience but I did work there while back. The staff and the whole salvation army ranks more cared about how they look on camera than the needy and homeless. A toy donation truck arrived there and the news was there all the high ranking officers helped unload so the camera can see them, once the news left they stopped went home and left us to finish. They are very rude and drives company issued cars maybe at donated expense. This has nothing to do with the shelter and staying there but every starts from the top and can have the effect. I am sure if the news showed up there it will be better living well until they leave.
The staff and volunteers are theives! I worked ad a volunteer and the staff and volunteers were constantly stealing from the homeless people who stay there. If you leave property thete by moving out or going to jail they steal whatever they want from you and say it was already missing when they packed up your property. The place is dirty there are rats, mice bed biugs, red bugs, drugs, alcohol! Oh by the way they are Christians.
Great place to get help, getting a foot up. Not real clean, but it serves it's purpose to help, transition, men into a normal life. Slot of fellas at stuck in addition and struggling, but the help is there if saught.
I would like to thank the cherished family who continues to support members of our society seeking their salvation through their army a good place to bounce back the workforce by renting a bed for $50 breakfast and dinner are available where are cherished members of the Salvation Army. Curfew hours are required or a sufficient employment note showing up after curfew hours this establishment also includes showers vending machines television and outdoor smoking area.

Terrible! bugs, rude employees, and NO control over the "wet" side as opposed to the "dry" side. its awful
This shelter is gross. The rules are strict which is good it serves the public which is good but it's filthy it has had bedbug issues and lice issues at times. My friend found a way off the streets and a job through them being there for him. Sad that it is surrounded by high end downtown living AND businesses.
Bed bug infested. As a army veteran it was the worst thing ive been through
It is a shelter not known for cleanliness but I would recommend as wn option. Always use there E-Shelter option..
IIt's better her if your black as the staff is disproportionately black. There are a lot of bullies that rule freely, without repercussions. It is warm enough and the bugs are held to a minimum, but it is overcrowded. The food is minimal and the vending machines are expensive. It's basically run like a prison
I had to stay at this shelter for a little bit and it's one of the safest cleanest shelters you be in they helped with my addiction too.
Because they get somuch money per person for the state .. they cram us in like sardines ... Less than6 'apart . Look around atant time and c 3 or 4 guys scratching them selves from bed bugs.. it's bad...
They have a very diligent staff and volunteers that do thier very best, and they try to keep people safe.
Mental Asylum, you better be be good or be good at it. Infestation, nobody takes showers.
The health Inspector needs to do there job an shut this place down found bed bugs and ticks in there so called clean blankets the restroom is nasty an the shower have BLACK MOLD
Non-profits have to do the best they with the limited resources they have. Crossroads is no exception. That said, any homeless man truly looking to get out of his situation and willing to put forth the effort necessary to do so can do it hear better than any other place in Denver. Crossroads is truly a blessing.
This is a great place to stay off the street while you get back ON your feet. During the COVID pandemic we've turned it into a 24 hour shelter. Before COVID, Everyone needed to be out of the building by 8am. But after recognizing how serious the pandemic was looking, it turned into a 24 homeless shelter almost immediately. Along with the shelter being open 24 hours, we decided to start serving BREAKFAST, LUNCH AND DINNER. 7 DAYS A WEEK.
DOORS OPEN AT 8AM
DOORS CLOSE FOR THE NIGHT AT 8
OVERFLOW CLIENTS NEED TO BE OUT OF THE BUILDING BY 8AM.
They are doing a Great Service to the Community! Both Travellers and residents! Thank you staff for your encouragement the wake up calls, clean facilities, Breakfast and Soups!!!
