The staff took time to explain the pros and cons of various tires that I was considering, and didn't try to push anything on me. Nobody acted aloof (aloofness is a recurring problem at Turin, my local shop) and they had cyclocross tires on hand, which I couldn't find at REI. So thumbs up to these guys.

Went there tonight to replace tires on an old mountain bike - 10 minutes before closing. I was expecting the whole "if your not a true rider get the hell out" kind of attitude because of the comment's I've read.

I was pleasantly surprised. The guy who helped me gave me two options, and explained them pretty well. And he didn't give me any attitude. Instead, he treated my as if he knew about bikes, and I needed to know about bikes, so he gave me a simple answers to to my neophyte questions. And seemed happy to do it.

Maybe they fired the guy with the bad attitude.

When I was in the market for my first road bike, I stopped by Salvagetti to learn more about what I should be looking for in a bike (size, style, materials, etc). The team let me test ride bikes to the point I had a good idea what I was looking for, but I was on a tight budget so I explained I'd be buying from Craigslist. The team encouraged me to meet the CL seller AT Salvagetti so their repair team could give it a once-over for me to ensure everything was in working order. They didn't make any money off my sale, but now I buy all my accessories from Salvagetti and will continue to do so. Great team, very knowledgeable and quick to help you out. Thanks, Salvagetti! You've earned a customer for life.

I've been frequenting this place for a couple years now. The owner and staff always spend a lot of time with each customer. They are very enthusiastic about explaining bike repairs and educating customers on maintenance. Friendliest place in town!

I really wanted to support local- and give my boyfriend a break on bike maintenance. I took my bike in for comprehensive service, new cassette, chain, brakes, the works (not cheap), in preparation for doing the Triple Bypass. The bike was ready as promised but the "shake out the bugs" ride determined that the chain had not been sized to the bike (the lower idler was rubbing on the upper derailleur since there was not enough tension in the chain), the limits weren't set and the chain kept dropping, the flight deck computer wasn't working. Due to timing, I had to enlist my boyfriend so the bike would be rideable for my event. I took the bike back in after to get them to ensure that everything was in working order. I should have gotten a bike back that was crisp. Instead, the gears shift worse than they did after my boyfriend saved the day. I have no idea if they replaced the pin in the chain (since we had to recycle the one we pulled out to make the chain shorter), the flight deck is still not back in the same working order as it was before and the seat wasn't tightened. Sorry, I gave them a second chance and they blew it!

My custom bike is only 3 years old and has been "tuned" every year since it was built. This year I was searching for a new "shop home" since my move to CO. I hadn't really been completely satisfied with other shops. From the first minute walking into Salvagetti, I felt at home. The guys (as I have not yet met the girls) were all super friendly as well as knowledgeable. I was their for my annual check up and they took a quick look and had the bike ready the next day. Fast forward to when I did my first ride after the annual tune. OH MY GODDESS.... It was a truly magical experience. My bike had NEVER ridden so well or responded so well to me. I truly felt one with my bike for the very first time. "Magic" Mike was my mechanic and did something wonderful. So now not only am I psyched on the shop and the people that work there, but I have a shop that delivers amazing work. So good to be home. Thank you Salvagetti....

This has become my go to shop! I've been treated with nothing but respect and Josh one of the technicians has taken my ride under his wing. I ride a lot at Barnum and DH and MTB parks so I'm hard on my bike... He's helped me make this thing bulletproof and always does repairs on the fly for me. After going into a few others around town I found my spot!

I wish I could have given this bike shop a better review.

I walked in looking to talk to someone, gave an accurate description of the problem going on with my bike.

Instead of asking questions the worker with bleach blonde black hair dismissed me immediately expressing my charges may be in between $0-$350

As a business owner I expect employees to be willing to serve their establishment in the most favorable way, in this case it seemed I was disturbing their Saturday hangout in the Service section.

Sorry Salvegetti, I gave you a shot, and was way turned off.

I arrived at 6:55pm on a Saturday evening aka 5 minutes before closing with a popped back tire. I'll spare the details, but if I had not made it, my entire triathlon schedule for the upcoming week would have been blown. There were super friendly, replaced my tire happily and did not make me feel like a jerk for walking in so close to closing time. I will be back!

I Love Salvagetti! Last summer I purchased a bicycle and received great service. Last week I went back with my boyfriend to purchase a bicycle for him and Phillip far exceeded our expectations. These guys know their bikes! They carry quality products that are reasonably priced. I never think twice about their quality service and products.

What happened?

What happened?

This bike shop used to be awesome. I bought my bike there, had great service in the past, and they even got me out of a couple of tight spots now and then.

But now, I'm almost always disappointed every time I walk in or call in. The service isn't there, the knowledge is missing, and I feel under appreciated, especially considering how much money I've given them in the past.

Don't make me do this, Salvagetti. I'm struggling to find ways to love you as I did years ago. Please make me give you a 5 star review.

Great service, incredibly knowledgeable and helpful staff. They aim to build community and to facilitate the equation : human + bike = joy. I love my bike and will continue to support this business.

These guys are awesome. I have a jogging stroller that was veering to the left so I called them to see if it was something they might be able to fix. The guy I spoke to on the phone was courteous and honest. He said it was something they might be able to fix but wouldn't know until they took a look at it. He told me to just drop by so I did that afternoon. The bicycle mechanic was super nice, didn't make me feel intimidated or give off any bike snob vibes. He was also very knowledgeable. He measured my stoller to make sure the frame wasn't bent, found out it was a problem with the front wheel, corrected it, showed me how to correct it in case it happened again and then didn't charge me anything for it! What a sweetheart. We'll definitely be going back to these guys for all of our bicycle/jogging stroller needs in the future.

Paid 10 bucks for 5 min of service at the most. The guy gave me my wheels back with out their quick releases. Guy tried to avoid an apology when I came back for them. Also one of the quick releases was not mine but at that point I was just trying to escape the most bunk bike shop experience of my entire life.

That small business feel just is not the same anymore. I love the shop still, but something changed. I walk into the store and it feels like wheat ridge cycles. The shop is still amazing, and has great staff but the vibe is off. It used to be a place where the staff treated you like close friends and the owner and his dog would great you. All that said, the shop has good service, great price's, and a large variety of every thing. It is still one of the best shop's I have ever been to.

I have only bough accessories from Salvagetti, but I still really love the shop. Everybody is very nice and helpful, and the shop has a great vibe. It's nice to have a larger shop where they carry so many accessories -- you have a lot to choose from and these guys will help you out. My roommate also bought his Surley Long Haul Trucker from them and he had a great experience as well. It's definitely a great shop to check out in Denver.

I bought my bike from these guys a couple years ago. The bike itself has been really good, but I've had nothing but problems with these people since.

I purchased an extended "5 year parts and labor" warranty with my bike and when I try and use it, it's usually a big pain. The repair times are unreliable and when they say "someone will call you back" they really mean "get lost."

I wish I would have purchased my bike from one of the other many shops around the same area.

Used to be good. The staff is a bit arrogant and patronizing now. It is turning into Turin. More of an incentive to plan ahead for parts and shop online.

I concur with the recent comments regarding experiences with the service department staff (i.e.-Benjamin Ostrum, John Thunder, Eric Coomer).
