Salt Lake City Airport Authority Review

Very clean and modern airport. Bathrooms were great. I flew Delta and I only stopped for a layover so I can't speak yo the whole airpprt experience.

Small airport with no one world lounge. Not much to do but it has stunning views :)

It's OK. Uninspiring. Concourses are a bit spread out.

Layout is a little odd, but overall this is a good airport.

My first flight out of here was great but flying back in my plane was stuck behind seven others to wait for a gate..Many missed their flights I made mine only by minutes. More gates might be a good option.

There is always an awesome view flying in and out of SLC. The airport itself is undergoing alot of construction at the moment which makes it difficult to navigate through if you're not familiar with the facility.

I hadn't been to the airport since the new remodel. I thought an hour early would be enough time to make our flight, but we barely scraped by by the skin of our teeth. They were paging us when we were still about 30 seconds from the gate.
The remodel was beautiful though, and all the staff we interacted with was great.
Just be sure to give yourself enough time.

I haven't flown out of this airport, but I have dropped off and picked up my child and and some of my relatives on several occasions. The traffic flow is pretty logical, and the cost and availability of parking seemed pretty reasonable to me.

Just picking up a flyer. I hear the inside upgrade is nice.

Clean and the TSA line is moving fast no hustle!!!!!!!!

Very limited food places.
The airport map was not working so it was a long time/walk to find anything to eat.

The security Lines are usually pretty long at delta terminal 2, but the move super quick. And bonus they always have a dog trained in the arts of protecting that you get to walk by every time.

The new airport is the worst design! From check-in to TSA on different levels, from one concourse to the next, to the design of getting through the gate and needing to take a bus to the plane... Everything is poorly designed. It's like a wild goose chase trying to get to where you need to be. What a disappointment for a brand new expensive airport.

New airport is horrible, the opposite of user friendly. 100% of people hate it. And it adds at least an hour on to your travel time.
Can we please please please go back to the old one?

Quickly was in picking up family, and out fairly quickly other than read construction and new buildings going up.

Helpful friendly staff but limited on places to eat and drink being disabled I was totally looked after from airplane to departure gate well done to Salt lake city Airport

Construction, has you walk once around the planet before boarding any planes at Gates B25 and above. Then you walk some more outside, then take a bus, then walk outside a bit more :))

Make sure you get to your gate at boarding start time! The trip for TSA to plane takes a good 30min.

It was nice before and much better now. Great to see all the help from INFO desks also. Cheers.
One point, shuttle riders need some extra time from dropoff spots, be prepared.

Poor seating options. Would expect more lounge style seating. Only has gate seating.

I've not had a bad experience at this airport. Close enough to home and it great to have so many options for reasonable airfare.

This airport would be nice if you fly Delta.
Otherwise. Too much walking

Nice airport, have never had any issues coming and going. Combine that with the beautiful state and city it is located in and you have a great destination.

You had a great experience today at the airport. There wasn't an awful lot of people and I didn't wait in a lot of lines. Flight attendants and other employees were great to work with.

A very clean, relaxed, tidy place, even wanting to stay for coffee

Pretty standard airport, perhaps cleaner than most. Security was average. The Departure and Arrival screens were confusing, with repeat cities on different screens for no clear reason (so, 2 different Delta flights to San Francisco would be listed on two different Departure screens).

There were some good restaurants, but all were American food. If you wanted Chinese or Japanese their only offerings are fast food.

A mid size airport that is easy to get in and out of. The rental cars are right across the street from the baggage claim. Security lines moved quickly for both pre-check and everyone else.

This is perhaps the worst TSA screening experience in the West. I have been through multiple times. I have also been through many other TSA screening points. The staff are unprofessional and poorly trained. There is not enough space for adequate or intuitive screening. Lots of opportunity for improvement...

impressed with the tempature of sink water in the A gate women s restrooms.

Lovely holiday decorations throughout the airport, potted poinsettias shaped as trees, nutcrackers, Christmas trees. Clean!

Someone from the airport somehow decided it was a good idea to have smoking areas between EACH exit door. As a result, it is IMPOSSIBLE to wait for your shuttle in a smoke free place. That person might not be aware that smoke travels, especially under a ledge where it is being trapped. Very disappointing that the SLC airport puts smokers convenience above people's HEALTH. Hopefully the people in charge of the new airport will be smarter, and have their priorities right.

The airport is in construction and you need to be prepared for a very long walk to your gate. If you have any trouble walking, you should use a wheelchair especially the elderly.

Hey I love this place and fly all the time, any way we could get a liquor store in here? Would love to pick up alcohol when I arrive and take gifts back when I leave...

I think the customer service is great and all, but when you call them it is a difficult task to try and ask questions. If anybody knows, are redo 4x6 hand warmers under 3.4 ounces?

The new part is very nice and well put together. Just be ready to do some walking

I've only been in a handful of times over the last 10 years, so I can't with absolute authority. That said, I've never had any problems finding my way around and the waits at security checkpoints were fine.

Not really big. Not many good restaurants or stores for shopping

Serves 3-2 beer, doesnt have a smoking area, openly discriminates against smokers, I'd sooner walk than ever return to the salt lake city airport. Or Utah in general. Terrible, godawful, and stuck up, the smugness of the employees is almost palpable.

Absolute joke of an airport. No sense of urgency. Missed our connecting flight because security let 2 people cut in line. Now currently waiting 8+ for the next flight and we are held up because a flight attendant called out sick so why not delay the flight right? No one seems to know what's going on and the staff just doesnt seem to care.

Can't smoke here any more, used to have smoking rooms

The airport is always under construction. The signage is really helpful to tell you where to go. They have plenty of parking. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. Airports can be so stressful and they really try to help make it less so. I really can't wait until the construction is done though.

My first time in this airport and must say it is busier than expected.
Appears to be a hub for this region and they are serviced by all major airlines.
I stopped for a Jamba Juice and Seattle's Best coffee. Good access to power for portable devices.

Squatters in the airport was not good. There was no beer I selected, at a brew house.
Ordered fruit and it was brown and disgusting. Bad experience.

Nice airport. Fairly easy to navigate but it has been my experience that if you are not Pre Checked TSA you better get there early!

Terminal 2 has a good flow. They try to keep long lines down and as many as they can through TSA Pre check. Clear is also available. People are generally pretty nice. New terminal is opening Sept 2020, so that will be interesting.

HORRIBLE - items stolen from bag. Lost bag. Custom experience ridiculous. Takes forever to get to domestic gate plus poorly run TSA pre-check from international to domestic. Ramp to plane didn't work properly causing delay. Nice look lousy operations. SAD

Should have been torn down and rebuilt years ago. Now they have a crash construction program to play catch up. Very crowded. At/Over capacity. Looks like someplace Mike Brady designed.

This used to be the most convenient airport I have ever flown out of or into. The remodel is a disaster. Yea, the airport is big and new, it's a hassle. Whatever amount of time you usually gave to make your flight, add at least 30 minutes. If you are taking your own car and parking, add an hour. It took me 25 minutes to walk from check-in and TSA to the end of B Gate. This is now in the top 5 of most inconvenient airports I have used. Right up there with Minneapolis.

The new concourse, terminal and gateway are nearly done. 2 months from today is opening day. Great to be a part of it.

This airport is dirty and sucks. But with employees that sit around and bs instead of work it's no wonder.

I like the new look. Although I miss the nostalgia the old one always gave me. I'm going to miss that. But the new facility is beautiful. The hallways are extremely long, make sure you come even earlier, because it took almost 15 minutes to get from the tsa check to the gateways.

Way way better than before. Still needs work thou. Keep it up

well seems like they failed elementary school. they can not seem to get Atlanta lined up with other Atlanta. Be aware that you can go to the wrong gate and then get yelled at by gate agents. at least Hartfield line things up so you see as you are running through the airport.

It's a beautiful, clean airport. Plenty of room, the TSA area is well planned out and very efficient. It's a long walk to get to the Southwest gates!

I don't understand why very few passengers can find an outlet to their devices. This is a reasonable expectation for a major airport.

I expected more! Nice new terminal.....hundred miles from any gate!
You have to be really young...or an Olympic triathalon person to get to a gate without passing out!

The TSA team treat people with courtesy and respect. I want to express my gratitude to the supervisor and his team for October 24/2015 afternoon shift My wife was entered the first time to USA and the immigration officer was very acknowledge of his job.

Very efficient and timely. Staff is great. New airport is going to be fantastic!!

Great airport. The service is really good and there is public transportation to/ from the airport. It's very clean and the stores are nice.

Slowest bag claim service IN THE WORLD! Be prepared to wait an hour to collect your luggage.

The new terminal is state of the art...however to get to any of the others, there's no team and it's a decent little walk.

Terrible airport. Very limited food sources. Very poor signs. Construction going on forcing the use of shuttle buses. AVOID SLA!

They weren't prepared for a light dusting of snow and as a result there was a line of planes 20 deep waiting for the few de-icing trucks on the tarmac. We eventually timed out and had to return to the gate and deplane. Jerry of the day.

It's so spacious now that they've expanded. Prepare to do a lot of walking.

Of couse construction still ongoing but in my opinion, this is the 2nd best terminal in the US after Atlanta. It is clean, organized and very well engineered. It would been even better if they increase more places to eat within the terminal.

Small but good airport, good sports bar on third floor, burgers and craft beers
