Salons Direct Ltd Review

I personally think Salons Direct is just great. I ordered bed to my new salon few months ago. Unfrortunatelly we didn't get keys on time but I was sure I will still need this bed after. They keep bed for me, calling every friday and asked how is everything. Finally when we was able to arrange delivery bed was with my absolutelly fast.

Also I ordered trolley from Salons Direct. Can't complain. Do job properly without any issues. Again customer service was great.

Please stay away from this vendor. The vendor is not what it claims to be - an authorized distributor of professional hair products. I live in California. Based this company s information, I placed my order and paid a significant shipment fee. The vendor asked me to pay via PayPal. When the products arrived, I immediately noticed that they were visibly old, worn out, damaged. The hair products were unsealed and leaked color. I immediately took images of the products and sent an email to the vendor. I didn t receive any response. I opened a complaint with PayPal and the vendor responded and told me that they will communicate with PayPal. A legitimate company would try to address the concerns of their customer and solve them. The fact that this vendor immediately told me that they will communicate with PayPal just shows that it is a fraudulent vendor. I was told by PayPal that these types of vendors try to do a settlement with consumers by offering them a small percentage of their full payment as a refund. It is a type of highway robbery. I don t know why PayPal is even allowing fraudulent sellers to use these types of tactics. The products are really unsuitable. They are most probably harmful. Furthermore, the packaging has stickers written in other languages - maybe russian. I am not sure but certainly they are not in English and coming from a legitimate company in the UK. I paid 27 pounds for shipment. According to the tracking data, the shipment left the uk address on Friday feb 28. It arrived to California in the morning on Monday March 2 - 2 days without any customs clearance. I ordered from selfridges using international priority shipment, I know how a legitimate shipment works and I highly doubt that this shipment came from the uk. I want to attach the pictures of the products but I can t do it on google. Please please stay away from this vendor. Don t be fooled by their web site and the positive reviews. Please also be aware of PayPal.



As I mentioned before, I sent a number of messages to the vendor with images of products. I got no response until I opened a PayPal complaint. Once I opened the complaint, salons direct responded and told me that they will communicate only with PayPal. I was told by PayPal that these types of vendors will come back and offer a settlement. Indeed, I got an email from this vendor offering me a 10% settlement. This is a form of robbery. They took 83 pounds from me and sent me fraudulent and dangerous goods that they should not have sent in the first place and now they are offering a 10% settlement. The fact that this practice exists is disturbing and seems to be a routine practice enabled by PayPal.



I was able to post all of the product images on google. You all should be able to see the condition of the hair color products I received from this vendor.

Had a problem with my order on line which they sorted out for me.

I love shopping with Salons Direct, they have all my favourite brands and the delivery is always so fast!

I was yesterday looking for me to shop .. I asked where I can find that thing, I do not speak English well but what we were looking for could be understood by any man only that girl did not have the pleasure to help me after a few minute she understood and showed me the article with no pleasure and after she went to another employee and amused me, very ugly on her part a dirty character .. I work with the English and I respond to them and how I know how to talk I still understand with them and they are happy .. the first time I was at that store was a nice girl understood that I am alien and helped me with pleasure .. but yesterday was a disappointment

Terrible service. Rude and unfriendly. Cs delayed order to next week on purpose so had to cance clients.

On their website was a note saying if you order within x hours you get the items next day. So I did. Even added more as I wanted in the first place.
Anyway I received my email to confirm the order and payment but did not received an email saying the items have been despatched. So I rang up the next day to see if there is a problem
Omg. It couldn't have been worse!!! The lady on the phone was soo unfriendly and rude!!! She interrupted me constantly and spoke to me ie I am an idiot...and even put the phone down when I said I would call back the next day
She said that they didn't offer the next day delivery service due to a backlog and it was not stated on the website. Clearly it was otherwise I wouldn't know as I never used them before. It wouldn't have been a problem to get the items with a day delay BUT attitude and customer service are crucial in any kind of business so we all know. Wont order there again other websites are just as competitive with their prices . What a shame
Rang back the next day at me at I had a nice lady on the phone. She told me that the prev colleague did not leave any notes on the system BUT someone has requested that I did get my delivery the following week. Well it wasn't me and this was never mentioned in the prev convo so that 'lady I spoke to delayed my delivery purposely never ever again and will tell all my colleagues about the terrible service received. I had to cancel clients that's the worse thing about it. Should have just gone on the highstreet as I normally do.

There was a mix up with my order shipping late, but when I emailed my complaints they replied quickly rectified the problem by upgrading delivery to a pre 10 the following day so my order arrived in time for when I needed it. Everything was as expected and well packaged when it arrived.

Awful service, received a kit with bits missing, had to use what I had or lose business, when I requested a refund for the product as it wasn't as described and the product didn't work efficiently, I was told they can't refund a used product and consumer law doesn't apply to trade. What a backwards system and way to lose custom. Stick to salon services if you are in the trade, they go over and above for their customers and I won't be using salons direct again

Bought 3 lotus backwash units, absolutely terrible and clearly such poor quality. Had a new floor fitted which is why I thought I d get new basins and all they do is flood all over it. Customer services just wanna send out new parts which is ridiculous when they are 2 days old. Never mind the plumbing costs to try and fix them when they haven t even been used. Will never buy furniture from here again.

I always use Salons Direct as i get all my barbering supplies from one place and they are delivered the next day. They always have the best prices too! Would definitely recommend.

Ordered Wella products in 1000ml and. the bottle was completely the wrong colour.. I had product left over does smell the same and definitely does work the same on my hair . I don t believe this is the real product from Wella ! Completely waste of money .

Really not happy with Salon Direct's service regarding my order that was supposed to be delivered on Thursday after ordering it well before the cut off time for next day delivery on Wednesday only to find out it was 2 day delivery (mentioned in the product details which you only see if you click the arrow button - not everyone will read the product detail section, this kind of info needs to be more blatant and mentioned in checkout too) and their delivery provider didn't provide tracking details to provide time estimate so I didn't know when to expect them and ended up missing the delivery! It was a time sensitive delivery and I needed the table for tomorrow. I won't be getting it till Monday now so way past when I need it. Feel really let sown by this company.

Customer Service didn't really seem to care that this was time sensitive and were quite unfussed about this.

Really, really disappointed because they had good reviews. If you require goods delivered within a tight frame then order well in advance or go elsewhere. Unfortunately, I won't be shopping here again for my supplies.

Update: I finally got a call from DX who said he would try and re deliver the same day which they did so I'm glad that I was able to get in time for when I needed it so it has turned out better than previously thought so rating went up to 4 star from the initial 2.

Staff are always friendly and helpful and they have a really wide range of products, always get what I need at really reasonable prices and they have constant offers!

Probably best place with hairdressing furniture in UK large of selection !

I have had around 10 seperate deliveries in the last 12 months and every time it has been spot on, fab products and bang on time even when ordered last minute.

I'd like to make a comment of how disappointed and robbed I feel!
I bought an item from ...... and I've use only once when I found out that isn't what I was expected. When back to the shop to returned it and the cashier who served me was very rough and for now reason wanted to accept it!!
The previous week I spent a big amount of money in the same shop and I will never go back there.NEVER NVER NEVER

Couldn t thank Salons Direct enough for their fantastic service. They have an amazing array products. I am fully kitted out now with gel/nail polishes, including purchasing the UV light lamp. Salons Direct it definitely first on my list for shopping for products for both my clients at The Beauty Spot and when building kits for training at Oh Darlin'. The product range is amazing and service is impeccable. The staff on the shop floor as well as the team behind the scenes are friendly, attentive and extremely helpful. I highly recommend!!

Salons Direct... WHAT A FANTASTIC COMPANY! Where do i begin! After opening my own salon, i was obvioulsy very keen to shop around all i wanted was to make sure I was receiving the BEST products to provide the BEST service for my client. Salons Direct was suggested by some of salons in my area, and I have never looked back
The website is full of the best of the best. With brands such as Olaplex, Wella and L'Oreal, i was pleased that Salons Direct would provide me with everything i needed (without breaking the bank!!!!!!)
The customer service team was great with any questions and queries i had about the furniture i was purchasing and i was never made to feal like i was asking for too much!!
THE DELIVERY- honestly i was suprised at how quick everything came and i said to myself how do they do it lol. Everything came as described, the delivery driver was lovely and helped me with the items.

Very disappointed by you! You trick people into buying more products and tell them you'll give them another product for free and then after they confirm the delivery and take the payment they say that the product that was supposed to be for free is not in stock but they are not replacing it or refunding you anything as it was for free.
Very bad customer service as well! The lady that emailed me didn't answer for a week and was very court. So many other businesses offering same products but they do take care of their clients. I guess we have to breal up with salons direct
