I went in for the first time and got my hair cut, colored and got a partial foil and they charged me well over $200. The color came out great, but it was not even and neither was the haircut. I will not be going back.

Yesterday was my first time coming here and I have officially found my hair salon!! I have bounced back from hair salons ever since I started getting my hair colored and could never find the right place that I was able to walk out happy... I came here yesterday and got my hair done by Ally, and it is what I've always been wanting!! This place is AMAZING!!! Awesome prices for the high quality work:)
I Love this salon. I was lucky to have been recommended to go when after my move from California. I get the facials, the brows and my hair done here. The staff is all very friendly and super accommodating. It is a great establishment and it is warm and welcoming. Not far from the highway and there's a Starbucks near by so I always treat myself afyer my appt.
I have booked appointments here before only to show up and discover that they double booked the spot. They had even called to confirm the day before. Very overpriced for the area.
My entire family loves it here. My son went from long hair to a well manicured short style. He is extremely pleased with the result. My daughter doesn't trust anyone but Vikki with her extreme style changes typical for a teenager. Always pleasant and professional. Plus they bring my daughter tea and that makes it more than a haircut for her. It becomes an event. Between the three of us, coming here for 5 years, we have only received one haircut we weren't 100% pleased with.
This was my first time here and I will definitely be heading back. Brittany is amazing! A true hair artist!! I am seriously picky about everything having to do with my hair. (I don't care that it's just hair or that it will grow back.) I can always find something that I really dont like and usually hate how it looks after getting it done but, she worked magic and I LOVE it!! If you are a blonde looking to try someone new I could not give you a better recommendation. Not even mentioning that she was just about the nicest person ever because I literally wouldn't care... she's that good.
UPDATE: I have now been here 3 times and I am still totally in love! Brittany does a fabulous job EVERYTHING single time! I never feel rushed or pressured and always walk out absolutely loving my hair! Worth every penny

They are very attentive, up to speed with the most current products, equipment and styling;; always accommodating to your schedule when making appointments, and... offer you a glass of wine while you are processing. Who could ask for more?

As a middle aged guy with moderate needs in hair care Salon Bogar was much more than I expected. Very helpful people with reasonable prices for the *high quality work* provided. I have been getting my hair cut (and gray touch ups, yeah I admit it) for 6 months now. You wont be disappointed.

Real quick. Tried to make an appointment 3 days ago for my daughter to have hair colored for picture day next week with Esmeralda. No availability as I tried to schedule last minute. Not a big deal. Received a call yesterday stating my daughters stylist, Esmeralda, wanted to come in on her day off (today being Friday before Labor Day weekend) to color my daughters hair. Just got home after Esmeralda spent almost 4 hours on her day off taking care of my daughter. My family has been going to Esmeralda at this location for the last couple of years. 5 stars for Esmeralda and 5 stars for the establishment. ALWAYS greeted my associates right away with smiles and offers of beverages to make us comfortable.

I only get my hair cut here. The people there are very professional and very nice. Every hair stylist is a different level, which shows experience and price. They don't try to gauge you which is nice, but they also don't really disclose the levels unless you ask. I see Nina and she is AMAZING.
Jessica did my hair and I loved it! The staff is friendly, polite, and knowledgeable. Plus, they offer wine and coffee. I get my hair done every time I visit my parents in NH. Highly recommended!

I went in with amazing hair that had been balayaged with some baby highlights. I have a before and after picture which I have a conversation in Yelp. Salon bogar told me they would have absolutely no problem maintaining the hair that I had. I also had a conversation with the stylist carry who told me she'd have no problem maintaining my gorgeous hair. However that's not how things turned out as you'll see by the pictures posted below. I went in to Salon bogar three times and after the third visit I came out with hair even darker than my before picture and my highlights and dimensions completely gone. This was after I told the stylist that I felt like I lost all my Dimension and all the bright mess around my face and that I wanted highlights added back to my color because I felt I was one solid block of color. I reached out to the salon after and they offered to have the same stylist fixed my hair at first I said okay but then after thinking about it and talking it over with my family and friends I asked if I could have somebody else fix my hair especially after having 5 color consultations and being told that it looked like I had two different peoples hair color on my head and that it definitely wasn't a balayage and it definitely didn't support a charge of $178. every single Salon that I went for a color consult within 7 days after getting my color done we're all shocked that I paid $178 for my last visit and shocked that over three visits I paid over $600 to be brought back to my before color. I also asked Salon bogar to use for specific Goldwell colorformulas and they also declined. I don't understand why a salon would do this because it's essentially like somebody going in and asking for a specific color when you get a manicure. Why can't I ask for specific formulas when I know they worked on my hair in the past and especially because it gives The Stylist the exact color that I want and I don't end up with this dark red that I don't want. Just because the stylist thinks it looks fantastic on me doesn't mean it's something that I wanted. overall I am extremely disappointed with the stylist but even more disappointed with how the salon has handled my situation and how they have failed to rectify it. I even asked for a reimbursement for just the last visit and they flat-out refused.
Blow is a picture of what I went in with. There's a before and after picture that another salon my Farmer stylus 2 Retired did. She used balayage and a few babylights to get the after picture. After three visits to Salon bogar, who I should mention told me they would have no problem maintaining the after picture, I ended up with hair darker than the original before picture. Completely unacceptable.
Booked with a level 5 stylist and the service was sub-par at best. They cut corners and rushed through the appointment, skipped the glaze I asked for and booked because I "didn't need it" and left with my hair feeling and looking no better than when I walked in. I've had balayage done for 4 years in 3 other cities and have never had such a lame result. This salon is clearly capable of much better, but they lost my business at the first appointment.
I have been going to Salon Bogar for several years. It has a metropolitan contemporary feel albeit in Londonderry. However, don't let the atmosphere fool you. You can find a stylist to suit your needs. What I like is that continuing education for stylists is encouraged, if not mandatory. The stylists there are always learning. My favorite stylist is Krystle Walker. She is very approachable and has transformed my unmanageable hair into something, dare I say, beautiful. Thank you, Krystle and the team at Salon Bogar!

Every time I go I have a good experience. The staff is all welcoming and my hair always turns out perfect! I've gotten some great tips and products from my stylist Mazie! Would definitely recommend for going platinum - my hair is still healthy and soft after getting it so light :)

First time going there but will absolutely be going back! So friendly, listened to everything I had to say. Took my hair from being a damaged mess that I didn t think was fixable to giving me the cutest cute and color my hair for a fresh new look. Price was fair, gave me lots of tips and trick, very timely! Overall beyond impressed with the service and would recommend!

I am always pleased with my haircuts from here. The stylists know what they're doing. I just wish pricing was lower and that there wasn't an extra charge for of your appointment runs long. That's not exactly in the customer's control.

This is the best salon. I have gone here for years and absolutely love it! They are always really up to date with the current fashions and techniques.
So I don't normally post about experiences, but this one just blew my mind. I went to go to a salon today to get my eyebrows waxed (yes I know I should have just stuck with going to my mother who is a hairdresser, but Arlington is a hike), I walked in with my 9 month old daughter who was in her carseat silently playing with her book and the salon refused services to me because I had a child. ummm what. I understand if I was in for a long service and she was running around, but a wax takes 10 minutes max, if she was a problem of course I would have left, but she wasn't. They have no posted policy about children and still refused to see me.
I've visited the salon a few times, and was really happy with the two haircuts I received from Tracy. Unfortunately, I've had negative experiences with reception, and the prices for services are expensive.
I had a great experience at my first time at this salon! It was an awesome atmosphere with excellent customer service. I got a beautiful balayage and haircut by Megan and my hair has never looked better. I cannot wait to go back!

I went here a few weeks ago to have my hair cut by Esmerelda, and she did not disappoint! I had been growing my hair out for 4 years, and it was in desperate need of a chop, so I am so glad Esmerelda was the one to do it. Update: I originally marked it as 3 stars but am now downgrading this as it seems the owner is active on here but doesn't respond to every "problem" review. In my mind this means the owner is not concerned about customer satisfaction. I would have just liked to have received some understanding and affirmation they would look into my concerns.

A few things went wrong on our visit. My GF and I were going in for a coloring (and also her for a cut). The first problem was that upon arrival both stylists said that to do the colors we wanted we would also have to do lightening and there wasn't time for it. I'm not a hair specialist so I don't know what was needed. I think the front desk should clarify services when the appointments are booked with clients.
As for the onsite stuff it was downhill from there. The coloring my GF did get done wasn't what she had originally wanted yet the stylist was able to do these highlights that are the same color she wanted all over. My stylist ended up fitting in my lightening but the final color was lighter than I had wanted.
We ended up going and buying coloring kits at Sallys to fix the issues ourselves. I am actually happier with my color now than I was.
They had us sitting together initially, which was nice, but at some point claimed they would blow a fuse if the hair dryers were used at the same time. So they separated us. It felt weird based on how they approached it. Not to mention - everyone was using blow dryers and it was fine. How are you a salon and not able to accomodate power requirements?
I will say my girlfriend was happy about the cut and styling.
Of course I did not try to resolve these issues in person because I didn't want to come off as rude. But at the same time if I am working with professionals I shouldn't have to tell them what they are doing wrong or have to do their job for them. I dropped nearly $500 on these services. From my perspective it seemed like we paid professional prices for students. The stylist speaking to my gf said first timers get 20% off. I didn't see this on the receipt and I just didn't feel like calling and trying to resolve it. Not going back but it seems everyones experience differs here.

I am new to the area (Derry NH) from New York and just happened to drive by on Monday afternoon on my way back from Nashua and thought it looked like a classy place With a job interview coming up I went in to introduce myself on Tuesday and was able to get in on Wednesday. I was desperate! My hair had gotten so bad I couldn't even stand to look at myself in the mirror anymore. I had a few hair extensions so they got me in with Elizabeth who is their specialist in that area. She was absolutely awesome! We decided against the extensions for now because my hair needs some repair. I have very fine, medium length hair and she said the most important thing is to get my hair healthy again after I had some hard core highlights that did my hair no good last October. Elizabeth gave me lowlights, highlights and a glaze and a fresh healthy new cut. It was better than paying for a full body message!! Complete and total 5 star treatment! I was offered tea, water, wine or coffee upon my arrival. The other stylists were extremely friendly, upbeat & open to conversation & suggestions even though I was not their client. I compare this salon to an upscale salon I've been to in NYC but it's half the price...but for the same luxury treatment. If you don't have it in your budget to go to Salon Bogar on a regular basis I would definitely recommend going once every 6 months. You owe it to yourself! I am going back in 8 weeks. Even if my budget is a touch tight I will sacrifice in some other area of my life so I can continue to return. I now look forward to seeing myself in the mirror for the first time in years!!!
