The whole salon was very clean, stylists sanitizing work areas after each appointment. Everyone, including customers, masked. Shay cut my short hair in such a way, I will not have to fuss. This is the best cut I have had in many years. I appreciated her questions, and suggestions prior to my cut. Thank you Shay!
Maria is extremely good at coloring to hid the gray and eliminating the "grow out" row! Cuts are great and waxing very good. Staff is always pleasant and the Salon is amazingly clean. Highly recommend!
Due to an illness I needed to see a different stylist - I have had the same stylist for 20 years - this was a shock. The gal I saw went above and beyond to be helpful and took great detail with my cut. Sophia s skill were excellent and I was thrilled with the experience. I highly recommend her, very professional along with her fun attitude - totally put me at ease.
I absolutely look forward to every hair appointment that I have with Ally at Salon Aura. She is friendly, genuinely interested in her clients and gives a fabulous hair cut. She also takes the time to provide a wonderful neck massage after the shampoo. She knows how to pamper her clients. She is the best in my book!!!

Got highlights with a new stylist, as I had just moved to Wisconsin. As the stylist was nearly finished with the highlights, she ran out of highlighter and mixed up some more to finish. She used the newly mixed highlighter on the front portion of my hair. Then she did something I've never had done with my highlights. She used a toner on my hair. I told her I had never had a toner used on my hair in the 25 years I've been having my hair highlighted, but she said it would be okay. I had advised her that I wanted my highlights to look the same as what they did when I came in. A nice golden blonde. After drying and styling my hair it looked just okay in the salon lighting, but when I got home it was a different story! My hair was gray!! I'm 53 years old, I don't want my hair gray, I'm trying to keep the gray AWAY! Not only that, but the highlights in the front of my hair were a completely different color than that of the rest of my hair. It was a very unnatural yellow color. She obviously didn't mix the highlighter correctly when she had to mix up more to finish my hair. And on top of all of it, the highlighting was really, really bad job. There was obviously highlighter that had leaked on to some other hair or she was just sloppy brushing it on my hair and made big splotches in my hair. It just looked really bad. I was freaking out so much that I called my previous stylist in the state I moved from and she told me that the gal never should have toned me. That that's what made my hair look Gray. She had me wash my hair several times with blue Dawn dishsoap to try and strip the toner out of my hair, which also stripped the natural oils out of my fragile, very fine, blonde hair. It took out some of the toner but not all and made the difference in highlight colors even more obvious. Needless to say, it ruined my hair and I had to go to a different stylist for her to get the color all stripped out and highlight my hair all over again. She also had to take my hair 3" shorter because it had damaged the ends so badly. That's a lot of processing for any type of hair, but super bad on fine blonde hair. Needless to say I'll never be going back here again!!
Sophia always makes my sure my hair looks its best before I walk out the door. She is truly passionate about hair and puts a lot of thought into coloring. She's the best!
