I have upgraded twice, once in 2015 and again July...

I have upgraded twice, once in 2015 and again July 2018, both times they create another invoice and charge my credit card within 10 days of paying for the upgrade and support . This second invoice is for an additional customer support upgrade or another service not needed or requested. The invoice arrives by email and their email says "Please do not reply to this email. Replies to this message are routed to an unmonitored mailbox". My only option to have the charges reversed is to call the customer support line which leaves one waiting for hours or locked into a 'call back' situation as they don't take direct calls. I tried the online chat, spent 25 minutes only to learn that my options are to call the customer services or email customer service.
This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. The sad thing is they don't need to be unethical, they have a good product. I will be changing to a different program before the current upgrade expires.

After using their buggy software, and terrible customer service for a year, I cancelled my renewal. Everything seemed fine. I got a confirmation email of the cancellation. I also got an email from a different person saying they were sorry that I didn't renew. Seems legit right?

On my next credit card statement there was a transaction for 0.00 from Sage every single day. I called them to stop the attempt to renew (my credit card had expired during the year I had Sage, and they didn't have my new card info.) They said they would take care of it.

They didn't. So I called again. And again. And again. I spoke with 4 different people and they all said they could certainly take care of it.

The renewal attempts began October 14, 2020. It is now March 22, 2021. They still try to charge my account every day. There are 77 pages of transactions for 0.00 from Sage on my online CC statement.

If you want a nightmare like so many others are experiencing, then by all means go ahead and use Sage

Customer service aside, the software is not good at all. They rely on businesses that have continued to put up with their outdated software due to fear & cost of upgrading to something better. The only good reviews here seem to be from people working for the company?

Locked me into a Yearly Automatic update and charged my CC without my consent. Cloud 50 with payroll is $812! Note to other users, don't get locked into auto updates and check you needs. One user basic Package is like $400 not $812. Sage auto upgrades you to premium plans every year and you have to call in and fight with them. Discounts or down grades promised over the phone are not executed immediately but stalled over a long period of time. Try to Cancel your CC and they will charge you a fee. Horrible service and horrible business acumen. Try Amazon box Simply has everything with current payroll at cheaper price.

I've been using Sage products since 2004, and until the last few years, they were great. Unfortunately, over this past year in particular, I have issued several trouble tickets that have never been resolved, tried to pay repeatedly for the service which is supposed to be charged monthly automatically but wasn't, was blocked from using my account repeatedly for "non-payment" when they couldn't find the time to call me to get my payment - I followed up on multiple occasions to resolve this issue but couldn't seem to ever get anyone to handle it. Suddenly, they took backdated payments for several months all at once with no warning. I'm done. As a business owner who regularly finds solutions for other businesses, I cannot possibly recommend Sage to anyone. Save yourself the stress and hassle, and steer clear of Sage products.

Worse service ever I got from a company. I have a contract with them since three years to be renewed every every year. This year after renew the service and got the money, they suspended the account after two months asking to pay $350 more in order to switch from automatic to manually. Kept asking the CS representative to do it as I need urgent cause I have to catch my airplane, then I ll discuss this matter later but they are not helpful at all. Not recommended to deal with such customer service

The worst company ever, they don't respect their customers. They never answer the phone call, the support via chat is always superficial and never solve the problem. We subscribe their sage accounting cloud and after one year the service was suddenly blocked without any notice, even paying the service, and it's been two weeks without any access.

They pretty much seat over our data and not even were able to provide us in CSV format, we run a small company and we rely on customers payments but they totally screw us.
