Ate here for restaurant week, and I was very pleasantly surprised. The food was very good, and the service prompt and friendly. My friend and I both enjoyed all 3 of our courses. I will definitely be coming back.

Terrible! The restaurant was empty on a Saturday night but still, there was food on the floor and crumbs on the table. The waiter kept disappearing to smoke (he reeked of it each time he'd return) and the food was horrible. Not to mention, the management is awful. Charles Moore takes no accountability for his staff or his food. Charleston has such fabulous restaurants....this place is a waste AND a disgrace. Save your money and your time. Avoid it at all costs!

Service is nice, but food is just ok. Deviled eggs were good. Ceasar salad would have been good; there was too much mayonnaise in the dressing so I didn't enjoy it. The atmosphere is nice and it's clean. I'll come back and try something else another time.

It was ok.... There are many other restaurants here in Charleston that are much better. There was nothing that impressed me about the food on this visit. We only ate there as we live at The Bristol across the street and didn't want to drive anywhere. Next time we will get in the car and drive to get something to eat.

Good bartender -- decent selections - good atmosphere - very avg fried seafood platters- for too - much $ - closer to the ocean - more avg - it's starting to feel like - some food distribution company has cornered the market- it's all the same - nobody's trying anymore

WOULD GIVE 0. Our waitress was the rudest person I have ever met. The manager got us some shots but then charged us 20% gratuity after forgetting drinks, not checking on us AT ALL. literally the sweet girl getting us water checked on us more. And ROLLED HER EYES when she messed up our order. Literally the worst (freaking 400$) that this place never deserved and will never get again. Jana was the worst server I have ever encountered and it s embarrassing (as a server for 6 years myself) for ANYONE to be treated as poorly as we have been treated.

I absolutely love this place. Whether you have a room at the hotel or walk-in you can either order a buffet or from the menu. I love the menu because you have such a nice variety and everything is fresh. The person who makes the omelets gives you a variety of ingredients to choose from and they're not overly fluffy they're well done and I'm not a person really for omelettes but at this hotel they're fantastic. I attended Sapphire on Monday Memorial Day and I asked if they did discounts for military. My waitress said they did not and I thought wow Memorial Day and they don't give discounts to vets okay. I asked to talk to the manager about this and the manager listen to what I had to say because I suggested they do military discounts Memorial Day and Veterans Day just to show their appreciation you know maybe just 10% but she listen to me. The manager took 20% off of my bill so that was very generous of her and she said she would pass along the idea. So anytime I want to go out and enjoy great food for only $16 which includes coffee and Juice I'm going to come back here

Nice and clean. Wait satff was friendly; however, no one was present to greet me when I arrived so I had to track down staff to be seated. The food was just ok, nothing to write home about. I ate there twice during my stay. I had a burger that was overcooked and a ribeye that had more gristle than meat. The ribeye was served with a "gravy" that was too salty. They had gluten friendly options available (I was able to get the burger on a gf bun - that was a plus). Not a very extensive menu. I opted to eat out for the remainder of my stay at the hotel; it was much cheaper and tastier.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was your usual hotel buffet. Went for dinner last night. The pepperoni flatbread was very good. They have a tasty sauce. The white onion soup was also amazing.

Motherday brunch, I would rather have experienced their buffet on a regular day. They were swamped.

But the 3 stars is because no biscuits and gravy. Why not? It was an OK breakfast Buffet, but definitely nothing amazing.

We were docked nearby at The Mega Dock on Dragon's Lair.

Gem of a Restaurant which happens to be in a cool Marriot Hotel Location. My family of 4 decided to have bunch downtown on a late Saturday morning. Knowing that we'd be competing with the tourist and masses for a brunch spot on a busy SEWE weekend. However, we averted driving around in circles like tourist by heading to Saffire after an initial failed attempted for on the water breakfast.

HOW AWESOME of an experience did we have at Saffire?
-No parking issues
-Uncrowded & no wait on a busy weekend around 11am
-Solid assortment on the buffet & custom Omelet cook for breakfast. All very tasty.
-Staff treated our kids like they were the center of attention with custom hot coco drinks
-My wife & I were impressed by the quality of produce(fresh strawberries & fruit) along with standard breakfast items
-Waitress was caring & smiled

We will keep coming back and hopefully ask for the same waitress Ms. Gwenn I believe.

Saffire Restaurant at the Marriott in Charleston has some of the best breakfast and brunch in Charleston. I really like their breakfast offerings and everything they serve is delicious and tasty. They have an all you can eat option that they offer that is very good for hungry people like myself. This place is great for business meetings and for a general meeting space for general business duties as there is plenty of wide open space and natural light that shines in. Everything here is relaxed and laid back and you can feel free to take your time to enjoy your meal and not feel rushed or hurried. The staff here is great and goes out of their way to make sure that you feel taken care of and that you have everything you need.

Shrimp and grits entree was very nice with plump, juicy shrimp sausage, tomato and nicely textured coarse grits. Avoid the lunch buffet; grim steam table fare: clotty-looking pasta Alfredo, overcooked and bland chicken marsala, and a couple bland soups.

Went there with my wife for dinner and really enjoyed it. We had the corn chowder and the stuffed portabella for appetisers. Both were delectable. Vegetarian options are limited and we both had the mushroom ravioli for our main dish. It was delicious. Friendly service. One thing I did observe was that they didn't have a host at the desk by the entrance so a waiter was doubling up on duties. This meant that people had to wait for a few minutes upon entering without anyone attending to them because inevitably the waiter was performing waiting duties. This is unprofessional and I would hope that the people operating this place are not doing this as a cost-cutting measure!
