Sacred Heart Community Service Review

The Sacred Heart community center, like all Charity centers, have small failures that cannot go unnoticed. Not everyone receives the same treatment as is due, some are more fortunate than others. The majority are Volunteers, they do their best to give good attention But not all center employees are friendly starting from above, when a person requests to have or expose an employee's problem because he answers you in an altered way. You call by phone, or send messages that if you can make an appointment to talk with this person, you don't even have the kindness to answer the messages or calls. There is a lot of bureaucracy and as it is a help center the person has to shut up. I do not omit that there are very friendly staff but as a manifest you have to be very lucky FOR that person to attend you. Sometimes I volunteered, I felt very good serving the needy. They have service to take care of children of working father, of immigration there are but some people that I know never received help. They have department where they help to get jobs, computer class. It has the PG and E program, for low-income people, program to pay rent, they give fresh and canned food. Clothing.etc ..

They are really patient while helping students for filing taxes

For the help they give for all people when they need it and for all the services that are granted and the information they give for the whole community.

Local food pantry,close closet and other helping programs for utilities and such very helpful resources,and friendly helpful staff of mainly volunteers.i recommend them of your needing assistance in these areas

It's a scam. They ask millions of personal information by mail, then they never answer thier phone numbers. Basiclly they steal donations and people personal informations.

volunteers are very helpful and friendly.I went there for tax return and it was great experience.

I love this place they helped when you are down on your luck or struggle, line are too long and the staff takes too long though

This is the place to go when you need help or know someone who does

this place used to be good. now its a haven for harboring illegal aliens. I went recently and was getting clothes and food and a young girl by the name of Daisy. who tried to hide her name tag started harassing my wife and acting like she was stealing more clothes then was allowed. I tried to talk to the manager of which they said were 7 to make a complaint and she proceeded to tell me in broken english and in the dumbiest way possible that there was something about a policy of 10 items when i was complaining about the terrible attitude of the volunteer. The staff were rude as well many of them i have seen on megans law child molester list and many others are criminals who are harassing the other patrons and the staff done say anything about it, this place ia a dreg on society and no longer cares to help the real american citizens and giving funds and resources to illegal aliens who seem to be these peoples top priorty to help

Housing office only open 3 hours, 5 days of the week.... Lame...

Went here to drop off Christmas toys. They had a goal of gathering 8600 toys this year for local children who otherwise wouldn't have a present for Christmas.

They have been so helpful to me & my family. I don't know what we would do if Sacret Heart was here. Ther would be homeless people and they would be sick because your unable to feed yourself, pay your bill. Thank to all the Staff for all they do.

Loved volunteering here. The system in place allows new volunteers to easily become regulars and the events held are super heartwarming.

I am only going to give one star because I was there to get some help in regards the flood that I was affected by and I was not help they only provide me with rotten apples I threw them away I was not going to have my kids eat it they were bad so it will be nice if the personal that work there can check the food before they give it away

A hidden gem; you have to look for it if you want it, but don't presume

I love Sacred Heart Community Service! They have great volunteer opportunities and helpful when I have needed to use there resources. Love what they do for the community.

It is a very helpful place for the community, there is a parking lot.

Great place to drop off your donations just bad to get to drop area. People that are trying to pick up their food block the driveway and no one can get in for drop offs.

This place is great! Helping strugling familys in the south bay with food and toys for the holidays. I was a volonteer helping with holiday toys. These people are really doing a great service. I will volunteer with them again!

They have a lot of different types of help for the community

They are community focused and do a lot to help those in need. I remember visiting often as a kid to get groceries and now I donate there when I have items I no longer need.

Great place to volunteer or for personal/family help. I got clothes and food here when I had hit a rough patch, Thank you!

Very helpful people. I went there for help with my tax returns.

This place ok for food, clothing. But u must be living in the zipcodes that is listed in order to get full food or be homeless. If u don't live in one of the zipcodes listed, then u only get veggies and fruits. Which is unfair and they should give u full complete box of food no matter what zipcode u live in.

Great place to go to when you need help. This place has gotten me by some times.

Healthy,complete selection of food twice monthly(free). Clothes closet for those needing clothes. Other financial help with bills,rent etc..

A wonderful part of the community. I've been going their for years, with prices so high in San Jose for everything ! It's hard to make ends meet. They have helped with utility bill , Thanksgiving and Christmas Dinner! Just to name a few, Couldn't have made it without them.. Clothes are available too!! Thankyou to the Community for there generous donations!

Great place to get help with lots of things. And teach you about all kinds of things you should know about.

I've had a really good experience dealing with this organization not only as the staff pretty friendly but they will go out of their way for you I would highly recommend dealing with these people in the future

Sacred Hearts will do everything possible to help those in need. Need food or clothing they will give them to you twice a month if registered with them. I am a single senior citizen and they give me about 50 lbs. of food twice a week. Short on funds for rent or PG&E, or getting a deposit for renting an apartment, they will look into their contacts and resources to find someone that will donate the funds for your emergency!!!

This place is good for services but make sure they update ur file if any changes.
