Great place to volunteer. Community supporting those in need regardless of gender, race, age, economic background etc. Very welcoming to volunteers and well organized. I appreciate how they are mindful of cultures and needs. Thank you to those that donate. Its amazing how much support pours in. Volunteers are equally needed to help sort items and give smiles. It really makes a difference.

Waste of your damn time. Waited for 4 hours just to be told they cannot help me at all...no food assistance, no pge assistance and no rental assistance...but if I was an illegal immigrant not paying taxes collecting welfare, they'd gladly help. But a Caucasian AMERICAN who needs to be me time rental help and groceries gets turned down.... God Bless America
This is a Community Center, where once you register you are able to pick up clothes, and food. No monitary charges, 2 times a month. Also assisted me when I needed a deposit for my home. Utilities program. And so many wonderful people. 5 Stars, 10 if they had them....

Yes I do go to Sacred Heart I like that they help me pay my PG&E once a month I don't work like I used to I am disabled so it really helps when you have a three bedroom house and the PG&E goes High and what's good about it is I get to pick up two bags of food and the food is real good and now I got my mom to go with me I guess it gives her some place to go with me little me time there and then we'll go eat somewhere
Took my son there for the very first time for emergency rental assistance and did no qualify because he had a co-signer. For being his first place he had to get a co-worker signer to qualify since rents are so high.
But it's upsetting how I notice a few people get the assistance like nothing and after hearing their story how easy they get the help when they don't qualify and just scam the system.
Restroom is clean and neat. Staff is knowledgeable in helping with registration. The food is handed out freely. Clothing and food donated daily.
Great place. Friendly staff and the food and clothing twice a month is a lifesaver when you are in need.

Got canned goods, a membership card, lovely magenta flowers, a chicken, oranges, potatoes, bread and lovely help from a surely strained and harried street team: they were sweet and kind to me.
Line was a block and a half long, but the time went fast, I was behind a guy with budweiser can, yuck, tucked right into his shopping cart, but only saw him take one sip. Can't believe he didn't get caught.

Life is hard and unfair sacred heart has always been there for me.when your broken from life's disappointments a fire displaces you with no where to go a divorce a death in the family.your child leaving home.things out of control out of our hands.changes.when your going threw hell.no one to turn too.sacret heart gives you clean clothes and a free lunch.some hygenes.it always cheered me up.im doing ok now but walmart the prices for a tankini is out of bounds.this is a blessing.
Sacred Heart Community Service is one of the best organizations that help those in need. They have grown so much as the community needs have grown. Since 2008 they have acted as the Community Action Agency for Santa Clara county which is a testament to the great leadership of this organization.

Sacred Heart Community Center is an awesome resource to know about they hand out food Monday through Friday no holidays I would starve if it wasn't for places like this they're a godsend

Sacred Heart Is An Awesome place. I am in their gardening program called La Mesa Verde and thanks to them I have a beautiful organic garden that they have provided everything for. Their volunteers come out and build the beds and provide the soil. Then on planting day I'm given two trays of beautiful plants to be planted.
The volunteers come out to help with your garden if you have any problems or just need some plant advice. This is my fourth year of having a garden and it's been a transformative experience.
I am also a recipient of some of their services, like the food boxes filled with yummy delicious healthful foods. Sacred Heart does many things to help people in our community. They have helped to get legislation in place to protect renters from illegal evictions. They are working on immigration reform, social and food Justice and many other programs. They offer computer training free income tax assistance, domestic violence assistance, child care. They also offer several times a year speakers that are candidates for local offices. they do campaigning 4 worthy local programs like measure A, which we helped to pass.

They distribute free foods, clothing, and toys to hundreds of people, if not thousands, before holiday season. They accept most donations such as can foods, cereals, rices, new toys. It's a good place to volunteer your time and the volunteer registration is recommended to find an empty slot. Parking can be difficult sometimes. The staff are friendly as long as the instructions are followed.

All of my girls during Jr.high & High School years Volunteered during Holidays & helping with donations of food bags for families to pick up for Holidays & or putting Gifts in groups by age of children or groups of clothing by size & all my Girls really felt the joy of Volunteering their time.

Wonderful place. The staff is very friendly, although sometimes the volunteers are rude. For instance, when a woman took her ticket to go get food there were two volunteers gabbing and needed to finish their gossiping before giving her any attention and it was well over two minutes. Just very uncalled for. But Sacred Heart has been around for many years and has helped my family and we have helped them if you ever have things to donate like food or clothing or household goods or time this is the place to give to. So much of it goes straight back to the community
Sacred Heart is a wonderful place to go and use the food bank the clothing bank and get help with your deposits rent PG&E bills and they also have a job search in their office and people are very nice that work there

Lines get long so come early. Give you good food and need cart to carry home even if just for one person.
They can be very rude but at the end of the day we got a lot of food which is very awesome.

The staff here is great most are friendly but old lady's from the street are rude
