Process different due to COVID protocols, but staff was very communicative and let me know what to expect. They were on time and efficient with my new kitty wellness check. Will plan to return for follow up visits.

Everyone who works here is so so kind! I brought my cat here for a check up, and they will definitely be my vet from here on out! The cost is insanely reasonable, and my cat has never been so comfortable and calm post exam. It was really lovely to see her so relaxed, I fully trust that they're giving her the best care. Special thanks to Dr. Virgin for being so kind and helpful!

I brought my Pomeranian in for exam of bad cough. I have no complaints about dog side manner, however I was charged $630 for an xray and 3 prescriptions. The kicker was when I returned for a new script for Hydrocodone/homa 5m pills for cough I was charged $50 for 15 pills that cost $8.00 at Rite Aid. The reasoning was because they don't buy in bulk. I question that. If that is the case they could advise thier patients and write a prescription so it could be filled for $8 and avoid the 500% difference in cost. Very dissapointed.

Very kind and personable staff. Highly professional. Took care of all three of our dogs. They definitely are there to serve the pet. We have been dealing with Sacajawea Vet for over 40 years.

They really have a well orchestrated Covid protection plan! They come out to your car retrieve your pet and call your while doing exam and bring a card reader out for payment. Very impressed. Dr and staff extremely professional and courteous.

This was our first visit. I called in advance, giving the receptionist some background about our dog. J is loving and affectionate with us but naturally pensive around new folks.

To make a long story short, the tech proceeded to try and shoot J, unsuccessfully many times with the needle while my husband tried desperately to keep her calm. Frustrated, the tech continued the poke growing increasingly more frustrated and impatient.

After my husband complained about the service and bill (what were were being billed for, the examine was never completed), we were told You are free to take your dog elsewhere.

That s exactly what we intend to do.

Had to rush our puppy in for an exam after an accident and ER waits were too long. They were able to get her in right away and assured us she was luckily fine. Will definitely be back.

The dotor was very informative and comprehensive with their review. They made the visit timely and professional. They made all the necessary accommodations per CDC regulations, although i was nervous not to be with my cat while he was in an unfamiliar place, they assured me Mr. Mumbles was a very good boy!

We have been clients for many years, from Great Pyrenees to rats to guinea pigs. Currently they are caring for our Shepard Husky mix and Lab Dobie mix. We are on the Paw Plan for prepaid services, and they send out reminders for what needs to be done. Our old dog is happy and healthy, following the nutrition plan they have provided. We are looking forward to a long healthy life with the young dog, which actually is the grand daughters, but you know how that goes.

Always such a good experience! The whole staff is very kind, and really take the time to find out what is happening with all of my pets. I'm so glad I made the decision to change to this clinic!

It was very easy making an appointment and taking my pet in during COVID. I stayed out in my car and they came out to pick up my pet and then drop him off. Payment was through the phone. Everything was just a smooth transaction. The pricing is pretty fair compared to most Vets. This will be our new doctor for our pet on the South End as it reminds us of similar services from our previous vet

We have taken our fur babies to Sacajawea for 20 +years now. We trust and admire Dr. Virgin completely and she has literally saved the lives of one or more of our cats with her dedication, knowledge, and persistence to get us the answers and plan to save our babies lives. We adore Leann as well she treats us and our kids like family, and her kindness and dedication is always appreciated. We truly are thankful for the whole team- with love & admiration, The Baker Auto Club

Our 17yr old shepard mix got bit by a younger bigger shepard at the dog park. We called Sacagawea and they were able to fit us in as our girl had a pretty good wound on her ear. They were very polite and professional and stitched her ear in 30mins and did an awesome job. Highly recommend dr crothers and there staff: jess and ashley

My dog doesn't like people they dont know and can be pretty difficult at a vet office. that being said I've had nothing but positive experiences and can't say enough about how well she is taken care of.

Then change your hours of operations. Or at least write on your website! Got a quote from you guys for a spay for $500 last week. What a joke. Vets for Less, here I come for $150!!!!!

Website says they are open at 7:30 am. Recording says that are still closed at 7:50 am. Sounds fishy

Sacajawea Healthcare For Pets is a fantastic place to take your pet, any pet, to for veterinary needs. 4 years ago, my girlfriend had a rat that needed medical attention and as we were turned down by multiple vets because they only take cats and dogs, we turned to Sacajawea. Not only did they give us the advice and treatment we were looking for, they got us in on a same day appointment and stayed in contact with us to make sure everything was going well. Now we exclusively go here any time we need help and the staff is always very happy to see their sweet little faces. It's nice to have our rats treated just like any other pet because we love our rats as much as any other pet. Again, I cannot over exaggerate how awesome Sacajawea is!

Hello my name is Christine Davidson and I have been taking all of my animals to Sacajawea Health Care for Pets for 30 years.

I have taken my purebred German Shepherd, Cocker Spaniel, 2 jersey woolly rabbits and my beloved boy Squishy Face to this veterinary Hospital..

Squishy face is a purebred Red Persian Cat. He came into my life as a stray around the year 2000. Dr. Harris told me he was an adult, so we suspect he is around 18 years old

When I put my rabbit down after 10 years. Dr. Virgin made me feel very comfortable and it seemed the most peaceful experience.

As Squishy Face reaches his elder years. Dr. Virgin and everyone at Sacajawea health care for pets. All these caring people are helping me get through another difficult thing. It is very hard to see your pet decline as they age and I have had to call many times to discuss grief and the next step.

Valuable and excellent customer service. I would highly recommend taking your pet to the best animal hospital that I know. Sacajawea Health Care Pets.

Such a great experience for a first time owner of a bunny they gave us more then just a visit they gave us information and diet as well as many many many more information and they told us what breed he is as well his age and sex since we found him we didn t know anything and they have filled in way more blanks

After years of looking for a vet that was not ridiculously over priced but still had quality care we found Sacajawea! Dr. Virgin is thee BEST! As is the rest of the staff there. We drive from Tacoma but I would probley drive from Oregon if I had to.
Awesome group of docs and techs that really care about your fur baby and not about padding their wallets! Very rare find for sure:)

Our 30 year old African Grey parrot had a bleeding feather. Very happy that we were able to get him in to see the vet the same day we called. They extracted the feather and he seems to be perfectly normal now, the next day. The vet and staff took great care of him!

This vet has amazing staff and veterinarians, but you do pay for that excellent care. I'm excited to see the inside of their new larger location, but because of CoVid they are taking your pets in from the car.

However, the doctor uses excellent communication by calling you and giving/getting information before and after examining your pet. I've been using this office for three years for my two dogs and a cat with no issues.

If you want a veterinary office or hospital as they call themselves that you can NEVER get your pet into, this is the place for you. If you are looking for somewhere that is accommodating and understands that pet emergencies happen, you should look elsewhere. They re quick to tell you at 10 AM that they have no openings and to go to the emergency vet when your dog is vomiting. Also, a simple vaccine (Rabies) ends up costing you ~$70. I would recommend going to a pet store that will administer the vaccine and not charge an exam fee just for the inoculation THEY recommended at the visit before. They re honestly a joke. Would NEVER take my dog here again. It s night and day service with our new vet hospital in Twin Lakes who makes it obvious they aren t as money hungry. Don t make the same mistake I did and take your pet here. I beg you. You and your pet deserve more than what they are willing/capable to give.

I had a great experience here with my rabbit. They are following strict covid protocols and still providing high quality care. It s hard to find vets that care for rabbits since they aren t a traditional pet. I really felt like Dr. Hanson cared my pet and she took the time to address all my concerns.

Everyone @ Sacajawea Veterinary Hospital are just wonderful, Polite, and extremely caring. They love their work and the animals they work with. Even when my parrot passed away, they were very thoughtful and even sent a card with heartfelt condolences.

I'm very happy with my experience with Sacajawea Vet Hospital and Dr. Mason. They worked my sick rabbit in on a busy day and took excellent care of him. They were efficient and compassionate. Thank you for taking care of my buddy!

Great, caring people. I've been taking my animals to Sacajawea for over a decade. Everyone has always treated us well. They were especially kind and caring when I had to put my two dogs down within 4 days of each other. You could tell they were grieving right along with us.

My dog loves this vet and I do too. But they re just too expensive for us now. $72 for an office visit to get his vaccines with no exam (my dog didn t need to see the Dr.. he s pretty healthy).. when the shots only cost $60 is a bit much. Ultimately paying $130 feels excessive. I m beginning to feel their prices are higher as they go to updating the facility. Which I understand, but comparatively, my previous vet in Seattle would have only charged me for the vaccines and billed me $20-$35 to administer. Sad that I need to shop around, because they re very nice and a great vet, but due to cost concerns it s time to shop around for a more affordable vet.
:-(

I can't say enough wonderful things about Sacajawea Healthcare for Pets. The level of care my dog (and I) receive is incomparable to other places I've been. Dr. Virgin and the staff are always welcoming and take the time to patiently hear my concerns and answer my questions. They're so attentive to my dog and have his best interests in mind always. I can't say enough great things about Sacajawea! Thanks for all you do.

Brought in a leopard gecko I just rescued for an evaluation. Staff was incredibly warm and friendly and Dr. Mason was wonderful and very gentle with her. It was abundantly clear everyone here loves animals, as well is it clear they are knowledgeable about exotics which is important to me as a reptile keeper. Exam went smoothly and all questions answered. Would definitely come back without hesitation!

Edit: 10/9/2018: had to bring in this same rescue gecko again last week for an eye infection she developed. Once again, extremely positive experience! This clinic is so kind and caring, it really makes a huge difference. The treatment I was prescribed seems to be working like a charm, and I've kept in contact with the staff to let them know of any updates, which they've put in her file. This is definitely going to be my go-to clinic for any exotic animal needs.

Another vet in it just to take your money. They don't seem to care about anything other doing the minimum and charging the maximum. Been a pet owner for 30 years, currently have dogs, cats, fish, snakes, frogs, and lizards, so have a lot of experience with good and bad vets. Would not recommend Sacajawea to anyone unless you want to be treated as a paycheck.

Just recently bought a home and moved Dash Point and needed to find a new vet in the area. Unfortunately due to COVID the vets we selected based on reviews and talking to office staff were not taking new patients and we could only get in to Sacajawea.

Needed to get my female husky spayed and they told my wife they needed her in for a checkup before we could schedule this routine procedure. They would not accept the previous records from my last vet. So I obliged and did the appointment so I could spay before she goes into heat. Well, I never got to speak with a doctor and the tech said she just did a basic check of looking at ears, nose, eyes, and teeth, and took temperature. I asked what they were checking for specific to the spay and she said they needed to make sure she didn't have a temperature or any illnesses before doing the spay. Confused because the spay wasn't scheduled I asked why wouldn't they check that before the procedure? No explanation as to what this appointment was for. Whatever, ok. So to make it worth while I asked them to check some red areas she has on her skin to see what was causing the rash. They then say well she seems stressed and start quoting me for anesthesia to check her skin. What?!?! After sternly telling them to do it they supposedly did it and said they found nothing while charging me $30 for looking under a microscope for 30 seconds. Then they start pitching me this $90 per month plan with $50 "sign up fee" and year contract. What?!?! So I just packed up and left, seen this type of vet before.

5 days later my wife is brushing our little girl and calls me in to look at her ear, which is swollen, scabbed, and filled with wax. Definitely not a sudden occurence. Surprised I called the vet and asked for a call back from the doctor to confirm that her ears were actually checked and what they saw. Did I get to talk to the vet? Of course not! Some lady calls back and says she talked to the vet and they checked her ears. She then tells me that my 1.5yo dog has a 'history' of ear infections and starts quoting me for a new visit, cytology, bacterial analysis, before I cut her off to stop quoting me. I ask my wife what she's talking about with a history of infections and the lady talks over me and says my dog had only 1 ear infection more than a year ago...apparently that's a 'history' to these guys. I questioned the likelyhood of this coincidence and tried to confirm any evidence that a doctor actually checked her ears...no explanation, no evidence, no customer service whatsoever...just asking for more money to "check again". Unreal.

Obviously won't be back and will do my best to ensure everyone I meet in my new home town knows about this places poor service and needless greed .

Just moved here from out of state and grateful to have found this clinic! I have a senior dog and she has a lot of issues, the vet was very gentle and understanding..I really appreciate the compassion. The front desk staff were friendly and seemed to really enjoy their jobs. I liked how clean everything was too!

Everyone was very nice and helpful!
I only came in for a dumb nervous "new animal mom" non-problem, but they took it seriously and told me what to do if things got worse. They also gave me a scuffing demo for my ferret, since I was worried about doing it wrong and hurting him.
Fantastic place, definitely going to be my regular vet.

Dr Mason was very through with my very old dog, Trixie. She kept me informed all the way around. Thank you to all the young ladies that helped transport Trixie to and from the car, and all the front office employees.

Sacajawea has been caring for all of my fur babies for over 10 years. They have been there through the good times and through the heartbreak and pain. For every event they have shown extraordinary care and compassion for my babies. I am extremely greatful to have them looking out for my boys.

at 11 months old my little girl got sick not eating no drinking so i ran her to your office. at which time I was told "oh one of those dogs! she is not worth saving and they would put her down! so i all most gave up.. but my sister told me of auburn vet hosp. i went there and they saved her saying it was the mildest case they have seen and she would take work to save, one week later she was perfect again. maybe it was the vet at the time but GO ANYWHERE ELSE TO SAVE YOUR PET. check your records (Robert Dunakey) so you can see yes i WAS there! oh and this is her now ONE of the best dogs ever!! i got to sumner vet now very nice place!! great vets

I lost my Boots kitty and wanted to have a personal cremation, but didn't have the $ at the time. They actually kept him a month and a half until I could come up with the $ so I could get my buddy Boots back.

After an hour of waiting in the parking lot, Oliver finally got his shots, and I finally paid the bill, part of which was $69.50 for an office visit and exam. I am apparently to assume that DVM Rooker did examine our dog, and that we are expected to pay the usual amount for something that amounted to a parking lot fiasco with no consultation with the DVM!
Oh, I forgot it wasn t raining.

Been going here 3 yrs now. Always professional and really cares about the animals they are treating. I ve had great experiences so far even during COVID-19. They have made it easy to schedule and have appointments . The vet is knowledgeable and Caring. I will continue to take my dog here.

My daughter had a bunny emergency today and didn't have the funds handy. Sacajawea let me take care of it from the other side of the Rockies. Though bunny didn't make it, she said everyone, including reception was as nice as could be to her and bunny. Thank you so much for making a sad day possible to get through because of your caring and helpful attitude.

They really care about the pets and are kind and considerate of the owners. When there aren't easy answers they are able to get needed information, figure things out, and come up with successful plans. We are in good hands at Sacajawea Healthcare for Pets.

My first negative post ever for anyone. I called to get a rabies vaccination for my dog and my appointment was scheduled for 4:40pm. At 5:10 they finally take my completely stressed out dog into the back, a half hour after appointment time. They apologize for the wait and stated that they had been busy all day. Could they not call me to let me know? No. We finally finish the appointment at 5:40, and my bill is $122 for a vaccine? The vaccination cost was $25. Bad business and super high prices for an appointment that was supposed to be just a vaccine. I will not be returning.

They we're very professional and friendly. Even gave us recycled carrier b/c we brought our temp cat in a cardboard box. It was very nice of them. If we ever get our own cat, we will bring our cat to this Vet.

Actually this visit was just fine. What I am complaining about is that we do the monthly plan for $70.00 or so and have used Sac since 2002 or so. Are dog Jazzy was really sick last Friday. Called for an appointment and no0 appointments until the following Thursday. Since we have been with Sac for so long it seems like you should have been able to work her in. Terribly disappointed in that we had to seek help elsewhere. Makes one wants to change vets as obviously no dedication to people and pets that have been with you for so long

I bring my 3 year old hedgehog and 5 month old kitten to Sacajawea, and they have always been so helpful to answer my questions and make sure my concerns are resolved. It's hard to find a vet willing to trim a hedgies nails, but they've been great! Curbside service during Covid has been effortless, and I just really appreciate them so much.
