Can visit just for time pass, but not for spiritual worship purposes
Extremely disappointed with the visit. On the main entrance to the Temple there was a board clearly stating that the entry was free. So we stood in the queue for more than half an hour. While nearing the statue there were people seated forcing us to buy tickets for the darshan which was around Rs.150 and they were completely denying that the entryis free even though we told about the board. Is this supposed to be a Temple or tourist place?!! Ruining the Divine atmosphere.
I can't give negative rating, so, I am giving 1 star. It is a commercial place. I went to this place today. A woman at the entrance counter asked me 150 rupees for Dharshan. I told her that I paid only 30 rupees last time, that too to visit a special place inside the temple. Then she agreed. These women are trained to force people to pay money even if people are not willing to visit. I had a similar experience in the past where a women at another counter forced me to buy 30 rupees ticket, but since I know there is another path to reach Shiva's statue, I refused to buy the ticket. I believe in God and it is a nice place, I like the temple, but please don't run business in the name of God, Even God won't be happy with these things. Please don't take people's money.
Don't purchase any ticket or anything it's free dursan..
This Shiva statue, which was 65 feet high in Bangalore, was established in 1995. In this idol Lord Shiva is sitting in the state of Padmasan.
Concept wise excellent but a bit greedy for revenue. Its ok they may need money to run things, but let them not make it a profit generator. Well maintained clean, thoughtful Amenities and good ambience. Serenely maintained in the midst of noisy city. Overall good. A bit of fine tuning will help it improve for greater benefit of all.
Fully used for commercial purposes. Everything they need is money money MONEY...
Good place . The write-up from entrance to till the temple is really meaningful.
Special entry is 150 n 250 . However I chose free entry with INR 50 coupon (any three puja). At the exit don't forget to collect free CD as a prasadam.
Nice place to visit, .. money.. Very profitable business.
Lord shiva , the devine. I have never felt such presence of him as I have experienced here. The entrance takes a tour of all the jyotirling present across India which is phenomenal master piece of its own. When you enter the actual area, the puja done for you will be a blessing. It's divine and peace that i felt within.
Pretty nice place to visit in Bangalore, but the entry cost is 150/rps ...
There should be an option to give Minus Five stars, but since there isn't, I'm settling for 1 star.
At the entry itself, we were told that we HAVE to pay for tickets or else go back, in spite of the huge notice that announced free entry.
One of the staff members, upon finding out that we had not purchased their ridiculously overpriced tickets, told us to GET OUT.
When we enquired about the "FREE" Prasadam CD that was loudly advertised, a staff member told us that we can get it ONLY we make a donation.
This should give you an idea about the general attitude of the staff. Arrogant, rude, and purely money-minded.
There used to be a time when this temple was peaceful, well maintained, and most importantly, FREE of charge, as ALL temples should be!
Now it's just chaos, with bad mannered staff at every step trying to force you to spend money unnecessarily, over the top marketing of their products, and it's purely a business in the name of God.
Never going back here again, and will discourage every single person I meet from going as well.
It's awesome place full of positivity... Felt like that I m in paradise
This is not a real temple . This is a commercial project just to make money . Never expect a divine ambience there .
The management need to improve for better service rather than focusing on money collection...it's very strange to see for each individual token systems
A decent temple near the crowded old airport road. It has parking options in adjacent Total mall
First time seeing for temple normal darshanm charged very highly and management guys also very worst.Everything they require
This has to be the most brazen form of commercialization of a deity.
The place is nice...if you just want to visit the place no need to buy any tickets. Also the entrance is from a mall...we followed Google and it led to a unaccessible entry point.
They take money unnecessarily, nice place to visit , but we wont feel Devine in the temple , just a place to visit
The 2nd biggest statue of shiva in South Karnataka.
Good place to visit...almost all the god's statue is there.
KFC, mac donald is over there..... So you can go definitely
Temple is one of must visit places in Bangalore but management is horrible. . They made it a business. . Every step u need to open ur wallet to go forward
One of the divine temple in bangalore . I was speechless seeing the beauty of the temple . The best part of the temple is that the pandits dont ask for money everywhere unlike the other temple that you visit. You will get the mini version of all shiva temples like kedarnath , badrinath, vaidhyanathdham, kashi viswanath, and all the famous shiva temple across India . The large shiva statue is so attractive and divine that you will not be able to remove your eyes from it. The arrangement right from the entry to the exist is one of it's kind . I was really mesmerized by everything that I saw there . If you buy ticket for 250 rs you get the special entry . Also you will get some puja items for free which you can use for worshipping . The location is also perfect . It's just behind Kemp for mall. The normal entry was having so much big queue that we thought it's better to take the special entry. There are no restrictions on clicking the photos . You also get a place to sit and watch the people worshipping . You can also fo maha yagna and do shiva abhishek with milk. There is also place to keep the footwear once you enter there . The parking is also good as it is the parking for kemp fort mall.
Good place to visit but the management looting money like anything though the entry is free.. be careful and flight to get your rights.
Nice temple. Most of the times it will be free and no need to purchase ticket.
Such an amazed place to visit the all SHIVA lingas prototype. Very devotional place and peace vibes
I feel its a business spot. They will charge you 150 rupees for entry.
Nice.. must visit place! But temple trust should allow devotees for free.. they should do it as service not business
Peaceful place and they ask money for each and everything
is it a temple or money looting center?
Its really sad to see this. We have to pay 150 rupees to get darshan. We are in a stage were we are paying money to see god.
so literally they are looting money.
Good Place to hangout. Don't expect devotion or peace like a temple. Have good view of caves and statue of Ganesha and Shiva is of attraction. They give some discounts for kids and senior citizens. Do Ask while buying tickets.
Didn't find what I expected.
Har Har Mahadev!
A temple created by complete money minded people .. . Nothing means devotional here. For each and every small things you have to pay. ..It's like they are selling God for their own profit.
Peacefull atmosphere.. Relaxation of mind.. Really a good holy place to visit and feel the purity of soul.. Om Namah Shivah
Entry fee 150, but rest of things are divine. If u don't have money then management will not allow to go inside
Temple is nice but they charge lot of money from deciple
Fee is charged at every entrance..only statue of shiva is viewable
I went to this temple bcz of I would like to experience the truly Hindu temple like here . For a tourist has to pay for little feee 150RS but it worth to visit here
All shivling darshan which is most popular. like haridwar, badrinath, kedarnath.
It's a place of religious belief of Hindus. The deity of Lord shiva is a symbol of grt creativity but its entry fees is to high to effort for a daily earner. The ambient of temple is very good. Management of priest of temple is very good and kind.
A religious place with lots of business. This temple is business minded, there seems to be a loss of spirituality. Money talks here.
Sooooo......soooooooooooiiiiiiiiiiiiiigoooooooooooooood
