This location has recently begun to acknowledge the need to reduce the use of plastic packaging. You have to ask for a straw if you feel you need one, and if you ask them to put your meal in cardboard instead of plastic, they will! (Plus the food is still delicious!)

This food is delicious. We come there almost every weekend, but something we always complain about is the "sticky" tables. They aren't "sticky" and last time we scraped the tables with our fingernails and the gross stuff came off of it, and the layer underneath was completely fine. They don't really clean the place the best, but the food is delicious.
Pretty good for a franchise. An adequate approximation of authentic Mexican food.

Always a solid place to eat, does seem to be getting more expensive for "fast food" but it's good for an occasional visit.
I love Rubio's. I'm addicted to the fish tacos. Tight parking here shared with the strip mall. Often busy. From my experience, this one has a higher level of gastrointestinal distress than other San Diego Rubio's.
Chicken burrito was very good and love the salsa bar. Service good, will definitely be going back soon.

Rubio's might be a chain restaurant but it's consistently good. I like knowing what my food is going to taste like every time I go there. Never a complaint. Nice salsa bar too. I'll continue to eat here because of these reasons.
One of my favorite kind of places to eat Mexican, and maybe my number one chain red for Mexican. Everything is good here, so pick your favorite delivery system I always go for tacos or a burrito. There s a salsa bar in every store, so you can add the flavors and spice you like. Plates come with beans and chips which go together really well. Check the map there s usually a Rubio s near you anywhere in Southern California.
Rude service. Alex was rude and made me feel like I was an inconvenience because I modified my order other than how it was listed on the menu. She said quote "let me read your order back because it is complicated." I literally took out the cabbage and asked for easy rice in my burrito.
Won't return to this location solely because of the service.
I live in Ohio, and whenever I get back to my hometown of San Diego, I hit up Rubio's at least 2 to 3 times. The original fish taco is still my favorite!
Fish burrito was good but very light inside the fillers and meat are limited, they need to add more inside, try to cheap out on a $10 burrito, they wanted to charge my wife and me extra for chips which is crazy when you order and salad like she did. Salsa bar is good.

I love Rubio's tacos. This location however needs some serious management and staff changes or better supervision. Our visit here was unbelievable. I should have walked out as soon as I walked in, but I really wanted fish tacos and I wanted them now. When we walked in the restaurant, one of the girls behind the counter who was supposed to be taking orders or at least doing something, literally had the doors to the beer and drink case opened and was sitting inside of it wiping her face with a towel all sweaty. Seriosuly disgusting. Then after another girl came out to take our order, she went and got a bar stool and propped open the kitchen dish area door and sat there on a chair talking to the girl who was cashiering. Really pathetic. I felt bad for the girl who was actually working. Unfortunately, the lazy on had no name tag on or I would have called the corporate office to report her. She was a short Hispanic girl with glasses with a really annoying voice. Our food was good and the taller Hispanic girl that brought us our food who also wore glasses was very sweet and friendly and was working her tail off to compensate for the lazy one. I wonder what else goesn on here when nobody is around.
Fast food prices with restaurant grade deliciousness. The food is delicious, very well done and it is prepared quickly and efficiently. They have a salsa bar if you want a little extra flavour in your meal. The restaurant is clean and well decorated. The staff is very friendly and were patient when I was placing my order (it was our first time and I wasn't sure what to get). All in all, a good experience.
I didn't realize this was a chain restaurant. Probably not the place you would want to go for Mexican food while in San Diego. So much better places in southern California.

My 11 year old son put in an order for a church and when he came back he commented how polite everyone is.
The fish inside the tacos is so good... and I'm not even a fish eater, but the tacos were bland, as were the sides. That being said, I was judging them against fresh fish tacos from Ensenada, which maybe isn't fair? I feel like everything here was missing something... maybe salt? I don't know.
Delicious premium fish tacos at a reasonable price. Place was clean and salsa bar was in good condition. Plenty of window seating. Worth visiting at least once a month.
Good place overall. I had to wait a little and I feel like the was not what I usually expect from Rubio's but still not bad.
Good fish tacos. I would recommend eating at the restaurant over take out. Even though I only live a few miles from Rubios, the tacos get a bit mushy from the steam of the container. My kids love the taquitos and my wife's go to is the coastal trio.
Their fish tacos are the best I've ever had. Always have to go there when in town. Sadly, we don't have one where I live now
Tacos this good cost 3x more elsewhere. I had the trio on taco Tuesday and liked the Pollack, mahi, and shrimp taco so much I got a second one to go.
Rubio's continues to be my go to place for burritos. Love the Chipotle salsa

Recommend the grilled veggie salad and seasonal special burritos. Fish is good here, chicken rubbery/artificial grill flavor- seafood is best as protein choice. Maggie is very friendly and welcoming, thank you for the kind service!
Unreasonably priced food. Got three tacos for 23$, not happy with that even with how good they were.
