Dont use groupon to eat here. You will get treated 2nd class. Rude and unfriendly service, and food-court quality food. Matter fact, at least at the food court i get a warm smile with my chicken teriyaki.

Ru San has changed completely! It has a 98 from the health department ever since the new owner took over last year. Many people may think badly of this restaurant because of its past reputation. However, it is completely reformed, and the waiters and waitresses are kind and sociable. The food is great quality and compared to other sushi restaurants, it is way cheaper with a reasonable portion. Im sure to come back again!

Service was horrendous!!! We waited 20 mins to be acknowledged. During a slow lunch period. Once we were finally greeted to make a to go order. The staff passed us off to each other. Then said they could not take our order because the system was down. Asked for a manager: A complete waste of time. He simply passed us back the the rude server who acted as if he could not speak english. #worstserviceinAmerica

While eating at Ru San's I found hair in my food. I asked for my order to be remade. Of course my food came after my family finished eating. I'd been waiting awhile. Management was rude, lacked customer service and offered no compensation. I've been eating here for years. I refuse to spend my money where the management don't give a damn about customers. I'm asking all my military family to not spend your money at a place that doesn't value its customers.

Came to pick up food just like another person. I was the first to walk in and to ask for my order to be told to wait for the man to be helped before me that came in after me. He was smiled at greeted wonderful and sent off with a friendly goodbye. I was handed my food and nothing was said to me and the smile was gone. Do better toward all people and not just once who you view as superior to you. Disgusted.

Had late night dinner here. Not going to even begin to say that the quality of sushi is the best. But the prices are reasonable and they were open late. As an alternative option, the fried rice was very good. Definitely better options out there, but if it's late or you want to not spend much, you could do worse

I'm so dissapointed in my favorite ATL sushi bar. As a favorite patron of Nashville's Rusan's, I always came to this location when in town because of their fantastic buffet with large pieces of nigiri, large rolls, soups and sauces. Now, all that is gone and in it's place, now under new management, is a buffet with paper thin slices of nigiri and tiny rolls that would probably rival many low end Chinese buffets.
After seeing the bar, I opted to order via the a-la-carte menu from the bar. The shining light is that the quality was much better than what was on the bar, yet the pieces were small, especially for the price. I'm surprised in a place like Atlanta with all the competition, a business would not go for the "less for more" approach. The new redesigned interior is very nice, modern and clean, but as a patron I go to a sushi bar for one thing... The food.
Another frustration for me are the Spanish speaking sushi chefs that openly use fowl words while working at the bar, presuming that none of their patrons understand Spanish. This is unprofessional and not what I want to hear when patronizing a business.

So sad to say goodbye to Ru Sans and will start my search few a new favorite ATL sushi bar.

Had a great dinner last week and it was excellent,
$11.99 seafood udong was amazing and a church roll (forgot the name already) was yummy.

Price was VERY reasonable especially when I consider its location, which in buckhead . And restaurant was roomy with many tables and long sushi bar.

It was only choice for us since it was 10pm at night, the other Japanese restaurants closed but checked Ru San opens til 11pm. So glad we found it here and thanks a lot for the restaurant people who were still nice to us who came in late.

Let's talk about the sushi. While it may not be "world class", the variety of truly satisfying flavors left me more full than I had anticipated. There were so many (almost too many) delicious menu items from which to choose, including a huge selection of vegetarian options; a menu that could satisfy almost the pickiest of eaters in your group. Besides, did you know that Ru San's is practically *everywhere* in Atlanta?! Next time you're out and about and craving a darn good and satisfying meal that *won't break the bank*, look for a Ru San's near you. Worth it.

We were there during the lunch hour. Server promptly took our order and the food was delicious. I couldn't believe the amount of food we got for the price. We ordered off the lunch specials which included soup, salad and an entree.

Sushi tastes great, but the presentation and some aspects of staff service could be improved. We got the Lion King Roll, a shrimp tempura roll, and another roll. They all tasted great, but were put together like if in a hurry. Some of the cut rolls would fall apart before I could eat them. Something I really didn't like was the water tasted like it was from the tap and did not taste good at all. The edamame lacked some salt. Service was also somewhat slow even though the place was practically empty, but the staff was polite when they did come to your table. Overall good tasting sushi that has potential, but Ru San's would not be the first to mind if someone asks for a sushi restaurant recommendation.

My, my, my... The best tempura shrimp in Metro Atlanta. The staff is extremely accommodating. The entrees are served hot and fresh. The portion sizes are very generous. The atmosphere is relaxed and at your dining pace. I love a restaraunt that understands that my appetizers and entrees are to be served at different times! I love the RuSan's understands an ultimate dining experience!!! The prices are reasonable and the restaurant can accommodate fairly large parties. I highly recommend RuSan's you won't be disappointed!

My wife and I go to Rusan's in Midtown often. It's one of our favorite sushi spot's. The decor is OK, but we love the food! It's just a great place to eat sushi, drink, and have a good time with people you like. As my wife says, you don't get greeted anywhere else like you do at Ru San's. Also, the miso soup is a favorite of ours.. it's a healing super food!

A good spot to stop by for drinks and light fare before a night out! This may not be the best sushi spot but it holds a dear place in my heart due to it's liveness, flirty Japanese sushi chefs, drink specials & flaming sake bombs, and inexpensive but very good sushi!

(EDIT: This location no longer offers the lunch buffet as of Sep 2017). Ru San's is pretty standard American style sushi. It's best selling point is the very affordable daily lunch buffet. Come hungry and you will certainly get your money's worth. The buffet includes sushi (an assortment of nigiri and rolls), as well as some hot dishes. Hot dishes included fried rice, teriyaki chicken, spicy green beens, miso soup, edamame, and a few others. Quality was good and everything tasted great. If you're in the mood for sushi and want the biggest bang for your buck for lunch, Ru San's is a great choice.

My boyfriend and I came here for a quick dinner before we headed back home to Augusta. The staff is so incredibly nice! They made us feel so welcomed and loved! Plus the sushi is great for the price. Would recommend this place to anyone!!

Horrible Customer Service! I ordered an Udon Noodle dish which was flavorless then asked the server to take it so as to get another entree. However, the manager said the "kitchen already made it" and that he wouldn't take it off my bill even if I didn't like this dish! I've never sent something back and had to pay for it. I won't be visiting this place again!

I came here 30 minutes before closing on my friends birthday and they STILL made her the cute little fried icecream birthday cake with blue flames coming out of it when they serve it! They were super nice and not rude about us being late. We were respectful also and ate our little bit of delicious sushi and cake and left before they officially closed! Super nice and accommodating staff.

The best part is it is affordable by comparison. We did notice a pretty big hike in price so that maybe less true. Would need to check better restaurants to confirm if they also hiked prices. I simply do not know.

Went there last night for the second time. Wasn't really impressed the first time but it was convenient. Last night was the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. The server started by switching two of our orders. They were both sushi so nobody noticed until they were almost done. The server realized the mistake and argued with us for 5 minutes about how we should have noticed! Finally the manager fixed the issue. Then the server poured water in one of my friend's glass of Sprite. My food and my girlfriend's food arrived about 10 minutes apart. That is unacceptable. One of friend's also got sick from the sushi. On top of that we waited about 10-15 after we finished eating to pay. On top of that I realized after checking my bank account that they charged me twice! This place is absolutely terrible and I will never go back again!
