Ru San's Review

I've been going here for a year snd it is like the food gets even better everytime I come here. The food cooked fresh or evan fresh sushi and the best part their water always tastes fresh and the setting is always a good atmosphere! Good food! Great place!

The place offers a fantastic variety of fresh food. I enjoy dining here. The employees are always kind, rates are reasonable and the place is always clean.

I love every Ru San's in and around Atlanta. This one let us in even though they were closing in 15 min. Staff was super friendly (as has been my experience with all Ru San's I've frequented). They have a really cool looking bar and they played hip hop instead of electronic music. Loved my experience here.

Clean and open atmosphere. Everyone is friendly. I went in on a Sunday afternoon there was no waiting. I ordered a giant fried spicy tuna roll, and shrimp fried rice. When you go ask for Sandy.

Everything online shows that this place is open but when you get to the front door it s closed.

I love Ru Sans. Rise in downtown has better sushi but its twice the price. Greathouse has cheaper sushi but its not as good. Ru Sans is a beautiful medium. The service at this one is 50/50 because there are only 2 veterans on staff. Selection is wonderful.

Service wasn't bad little pricey but portion size was good my biggest complaint was it was freezing AC on full blast and it was only 70 outside make sure to bring long clothing

Not bad.. you can tell the fish was fresh.. had a great taste, but the menu can use an updated look with better images of the sushi..just so you know what your ordering..

The food was amazing. Quick service and the presentation was out of this world. So many diffrent options. I want to go back and try them all!

Worst customer service I ever experienced. Ordered a soup and did not like it. They refused to take it back and made me pay for something I did not want/like. I tried to talk to the manager and he basically ignored me and said since I ordered it, I had to pay for it and just walked away. Didn't try to do anything about it. On top of that, they put in the gratitituy tip( 4 people) to make sure we paid the food and tip. They try and steal from you by putting such things. Quality of food is not good, you're better off at a different sushi place. Ignore this place.

They've renovated the place and have definitely turned things around. lunch buffet is awesome too! great price for all that you get

Looks great love the interior changes they made. But I guess costumers have to pay for it now.... $1 for a tiny bit of spicy mayo (only place I been to that charges)....
Also there was a hair in my salad and the waitress made it look like it was our fault, didn't apologize or anything......
Used to love this place, don't know if I'll be back now....

Lunch buffet is a good deal on quality sushi. Staff took good care of us.

Some people think it's basic, but i like the consistency of the quality of the food. The selection has increased lately to include more bowls and other types of meals. I wish they wouldn't have put mushrooms in the beef when i asked for only carrots, but, i know for next time now.

Buffet selection is decent and cAn't argue with the $10 charge

My 1st visit. Bagel roll and some kind of spinach w/fried egg vegetable. AMAZING!!! I will drive across town for this again.

The unique art looks amazing and adds to the comfortable atmosphere inside. I came here with my husband after he had blood taken at a doctor. The doctor is a ways drive from our home, so on top of him needing a meal from the blood, we were already both starving. So we overordered our food a bit and didn t finish everything. Our server, when we asked for boxes, was right away concerned that we might have not liked our food since a lot was not finished. I really appreciated that she was worried about our experience! But everything was great, and she made awesome recommendations for us. We hope to return soon.

This Ru San's is by far my favorite place to eat sushi. The food is so cheap and taste great. The new management is wonderful! The place is clean and decorated great. I will continue to come here on a weekly basis.

There is an outdoor patio, a bar, and some nice decor and lighting on the inside. The service was wonderful! Our waitress was attentive and made sure to check on us, she was friendly, and offered some great suggestions. We couldn't figure out what our favorite sushi roll was, when I described it, she was able to instantly pick it out for us.

This place serves a variety of foods. They have sushi, asian noodles, asian fried rice options, among many other things. I love that they have $1.00 sushi rolls, that come with 3 rolls. They're probably not as big as the other menu options, but you can easily get full off 6 orders. I ordered the chicken fried rice, which was relatively cheap, under $8 for dinner. Also, the portion is pretty large. I ended up splitting it with my friend and we both were very full, with some left over still. Someone next to us ordered a sake bomb, and the sushi chef came over and began chanting and clapping, the whole restaurant ended up joining in on the clapping.

Overall, great service, good food for cheap! A great place to just relax and enjoy your time with friends or even go on a nice date.

Was really excited to eat here but the hours posted online aren't accurate. It said they open at 11:30 on Sunday but we got there and their door says they don't open til 2. Pretty disappointed!

The service was fast for a sushi restaurant, but there weren't very many people in there. The rolls were excellent. They tasted very fresh. My only complaint is the waitress tried to have a political conversation expecting me to agree with her, when I didn't, so I just kept my mouth shut. I love politics, but I don't want to have a political conversation with someone I don't know when I am trying to have a nice meal. I'm still giving them 5 stars for the excellent food.

Great traditional Japanese restaurant with a variety of options.

Still delicious, but I feel like the past couple of years that the sushi has gotten more expensive and smaller. Still yummy but this used to be a solid 5 stars for me.

Average in every way... it feels like the Walmart of sushi restaurants.

My husband and I really use to enjoy this place until tonight. We rushed to get there before they closed at midnight. After walking in the door at 11:11 p.m. we were told that they take their last call for food at 11 and they are closing early today. So why is your door still open after 11 then? Your door and website says midnight!!! Will not be returning!!!!

Great place to go if you have a rowdy college crowd who likes saki bombs. Not the best for families.

great food and service. the calamari was great. My wife got the udon noodles and I got the Tokyo Ramen. Both were excellent. As for sushi, I got a cucumber roll and my wife got the crunch roll. We would order them next time too if there weren't so many others to try.

If you ever go to this location, you have to see Sierra! She's the absolute best. Always happy to see her customers and provides amazing service. Everytime my boyfriend and I go here to eat fresh, cheap sushi we always draw on the receipt and tip well. We've seen Sierra so many times she remembers my order and always greets us with hugs and smiles! She even takes a moment out of her day to draw on the receipt and write back to us! We love this location. Can't image going anywhere else for our sushi.

This restaurant is amazing and broad, the menu was delightful and the prices were very reasonable. quick, productive service and very personal staff. I recommend this place.

This was one of my favorite sushi restaurants. Last week was my first visiting in over a year. It was totally different. The vibe was mellow and that could have been because I visited on a Thursday night. I immediately noticed the menu change. There's NO MORE $ SUSHI. I was shook. I missed my katsura time roll. I ordered the kamikaze and loved it. I promise to not stay away for a long time again. Oh and bring back the $SUSHI menu!!!

More expensive that the other locations. Long wait for food even though they weren't that busy. Portions were small. They were out of two menu items. Customer service left something to be desired.

This is my favorite Indian restaurant in GA. they are so accommodating to allergies and the staff couldn't be nicer.

I get the $1 ebi which is shrimp on top of a ball of rice. It's good but I always have too go behind the chef and clean the nasty stuff off the shrimp they missed.

Best real sushi bar in Atlanta. Everything is so fresh.

It only took a couple trips for this to become a regular place for us. We have never had a bad meal and today after being gone for a week, it tasted like coming home. The food and staff are always excellent!!!

Loved the food! First sushi bar I've ever been that had a buffet which, is awesome for people who aren't well versed in sushi to try new types without the commitment of an entire roll.

Rafael is a great chef. Open until midnight on weekends. Great place to meet for lunch.

Very very nice place great food love the music would give 5 stars but the host was rude.

No mask no gloves. Wipeded hands on apron then put his hand in the rice. Got an attitude when asked to follow proper safety protocol.

My man is currently in the hospital and we decided to use Uber eats. We found this place and saw it had great reviews and had food we both wanted. Our food came and his was good as it said, but my chicken shrimp fried rice was absolutely disgusting. The chicken was dry and had no taste, shrimp was way over cooked, and the rice was undercooked. And with how much the food cost, I expected my food to actually be edible. Would not order that again, and might not order from there again because it was a rip off.

Expensive menu with many delicious options. Food is extremely affordable and all without loss of quality and taste. Dinner portions are huge here, so be warned you'll probably have a lot to go. Also, try the Tempura Ice Cream for a really fun desert experience! You will not be disappointed!

Although we could not eat in, the sushi was amazing. We loved all 3 choices we made. Great service and good portions.

It's a cute little restaraunt tucked away in midtown. The Sushi was good but not really a Wow factor. Will likely try again just not sure when...

The experience of this Rusan's feels so much different than the 1 on Caroline St. The food was good (what I expected) but the service & over all ambiance of the place is why I'm giving it too stars. It just feels very cold to me, for some reason.

Went to dine on my lunch break, the food is good.. Ordered veggie fried rice and sushi.My sushi order was not right told the waiter just to make him aware. Didn't feel comfortable sending bk. Server was ok but I think the language barrier was the reason.

If I could give negative stars I would! Today I purchased $23 worth of food. When I got home I opened my container and there was hair on my sushi. The hair was a straight silky brown texture. I am absolutely positive that this was not my hair as I have very curly/kinky hair(and I live alone). I called the store to inform them that I was given food with hair in it and their response was Well I m sorry but we wear hairnets . There was no regard for the fact that I had spent $23 or the fact that my food was contaminated with hair from their restaurant. They did not offer me any options, but instead told me to have a nice day. I will never eat at a place like this again! Poor customer service and no empathy for others.

All the food was fresh the facility was clean and they gave you a lot of food for a fair price.

One of my fav locations for delicious Japanese food. The service here is great. They have a lot of great reviews for a reason.
