After moving in to a brand new home with no landscaping and an unfinished basement, we contracted RTK Design Group to do a complete landscape design & installation including front yard, back yard, custom outdoor kitchen, patio and fire pit as well as a custom finished basement complete with a full wet bar and creation of a full bathroom. We also required design and installation of a built-in wall unit across our family room wall as well as the sourcing of patio furniture for both our front porch and back yard. RTK wildly surpassed our expectations, designing and executing each space to our exact specifications and making every dream become a reality. Bob Kaye walked us through each step of the process from conceptualization and design to choosing the perfect stones, tiles, moldings, outdoor appliances, patio furniture, the list goes on and on. It was most important to us to be able to choose one designer that we knew would handle all of our needs, from concept to construction, both indoor and out, which is not an easy task, and Bob managed not only to do so with ease, a wealth of knowledge, impeccable taste and an incredible team, but remained true to his word every step of the way from price and quality to time line and of course final outcome. Every inch of our yard and basement are phenomenal and our friends and family are blown away every time they pull up to the house and walk through the door. We received countless pitches and price quotes and while Bob was not necessarily the cheapest, nor the most expensive, we had a great feeling about him and his company from the beginning and he absolutely proved that you get what you pay for and you should always go with your gut. We could not be happier with our choice and the work of RTK design group and would recommend and use them over and over again, as we plan to do with each improvement and addition to our home moving forward.
My husband met Bob at a garden convention.... he was pleasent and really knowledgeable. After my husband made the apptointment for him to visit our property for a landscaping design consultation, I really liked his confidence in his own work. Bob provided us with a design plan in less than a week. It was exactly what we've been looking for.... after three failed attempts with other landscaping company's we were really happy to have found BOB/RTK Design. Our projesct was scheduled within 3 weeks of our first visit and I must say our yard looks exquisite. They did an awesome job, the team was professional and left the property clean. The Foreman was the absolute Best to work with. When we begin to build our home in five years, I pray that RTK Group is still around as I would want no other company to help me build my dream yard as well as to help with other building projects. What an absolute nightmare! My yard is a swamp and Bob the owner will not come back and fix it no matter how much we have begged him to. The patio looks nice but to not fix the lawn that your machines tore up and unleveled is so unprofessional. We are $3000 in the hole now because we had to hire someone to come fix the disaster that he left.
Bob gives you the ultimate experience with back yard design and pools. I can only speak fondly of him and his professionalism. We had a custom designed front facade and a full backyard done, and it is nothing but beautiful. I recommend Bob for his honestly, promptness and keeping his word on what needs to be done.
