Had afternoon tea with friends here and it was amazing. The staff were so courteous and friendly did everything to make our experience a good one. Luigi the tea room manager was brilliant. What he knows about tea and which blend goes with what course was impressive. We had time to talk eat as we weren't rushed. A totally amazing birthday treat. I would definitely come back. Couldn't eat everything that was served it was so delicious and there was more than enough.

The hotel has undergone significant renovation. Great venue for a two day conference with meeting rooms to accommodate different sizes of breakout sessions.

The hotel is right next to the Lancaster Gate tube station and about 7 minute walk from Paddington station.

Very close to lancaster metro gate, walking distance to hyde park. The room is quite small but i like its interior design, they are doing a good job arranging the furniture and all sort. Its quite hard to open my 2 big suitcases , but other than that i like this hotel.

Superb event space on the ground floor. Very well laid out. Door and reception staff unfortunately very snooty, and refused to offer a helping hand moving equipment in the early hours- did not even allow access to a simple luggage trolley!

It is sometimes hard to tell the difference with a 5* hotel. This one does feel like one. The attention to detail is clear. It's spotless. There are people there to help you everywhere. Options for food and drink. Fitness area. I would happily stay here again.

Hotel is great. It os currently under construction but they still manage to make it feel great. I would greatly recommend it. However, do not pay for the breakfast. Too expensive. There are multiple restaurants in the area that serve great breakfast for much less

A lovely venue! Great open space including the foyer and function room the toilets were clean and tidy and the staff welcoming and very helpful. I attended an awards ceremony for work and had the most amazing evening. The food was to a high standard and all the staff including their employees and agency staff were on top form. Great job!

Where to start? Everything from location to lobby and staff is excellent, and room is beyond expectation. We are here for honeymoon and I am glad that my wife loved it very much. It is really a great choice and we will book it next time we are in London. Thank you very much for the experience.

Nice elevators. Great room but not enough space between the end of the bed and the wall.
Nice tile bathrooms. Love the option of hanging the pour or showerhead. Nice robes. White company shower gels. Good choice of magazines and articles on the table

A wonderful hotel with fantastic rooms and service, especially loved the heated floor in the bathroom. Only downside was the works being carried out from around 8:30am, wish they had waited until at least 9 but then I like a lie in!

Really terrible hotel

Really terrible hotel
Nice and fast service
In front of the Hyde Park and below it is a metro station and Gumbe, a bus station with two buses, one Udek Oxford and the second in Kadly
In the Hyde Park near it, a children's swing area

Fantastic hotel, great location and terrific staff. I travel to London on a regular basis and have been a regular guest for over a year. I have lifetime status at other popular hotel brands, but they don t hold a candle to the Royal Lancaster London Hotel. The property was recently remodeled and it is absolutely beautiful. It is situated on Hyde Park, near major landmarks around the city. Enjoy your stay

The most spectacular aspect of this hotel is are the staff. Their attention to detail, friendliness, accommodating characters and professionally smart appearance is a real credit to the hotel. However the hotel itself feels like a 4* masquerading as a 5*. On the surface it looks very nice and upscale but my room just did not function very well as it should have. Of course the views over Hyde Park are stunning. I was on the 18th floor in a suite.
Most disappointing was that during my 3 days I kept trying to have a hot bath but the water was never hot enough for one. I even tried at 4 am (I was jet lagged). The lighting isn't user friendly. In my room you couldn't just have the lounge light on without have the main overhead lights on. I called the engineer but he said that is the way it's wired. The lights in the bathroom are just on one switch which is too bright if you get up in the middle of the night and just need a low dim light to guide your way.
The coffee machine didn't come with any instructions or menu as to what each of the different coloured pods tasted like.
The milk sachets were too small and very fiddly to open, and the TV had an annoying message running through the middle something about a widget not being compatible which I just couldn't remove.
My biggest frustration was not being able to have a hot bath but there is a lot to like about the room too. The bed linen, towels and robes were very high quality, the staff are definitely 5* and the location is fabulous.

We stayed here for a few days in March 2018, and I was very impressed by the hotel's opulence and simplicity of design. Modern, yet classic rooms that were immaculate, beautiful and most comfortable. The location is fantastic, as the Tube is next door, and the Paddington station is a short walk away, should you need a major station. This will definitely be my home base when in London again. The rooms are perfectly designed and attractive!

I had a drink in the bar of the Island Grill outlet, I was welcomed and served by a very friendly bartender (sorry I didn't catch his name). The drink was good. I know the Lancaster and its strive for perfection, no improvements needed on this bit :)

The most wonderful hotel in terms of location, comfort and staff who were ever so helpful and acknowledging.
The hotel is a few meters away from Lancaster gate tube station making it so easy to get around London. Hyde park is across the road and shopping and markets are only a few tube stops away.
We had a standard room and they gave us a corner room on a high floor which overlooked the London eye and the city scape as well as Hyde park. I would highly recommend this hotel and I would def be going back to stay there.
