The best place to rent a stand up paddleboard for the day!

Don't be foolish - bring swimming trunks! You will get wet and will have to change in front of traffic and stuff. The staff is legit.

Great staff good prices and good reviews made my decision easy to chose rowing dock when I decided to cruise on the river. You could stay out there all day. Very relaxing very fun I can't wait to visit again on our next trip to Austin

Great location, choice of craft, and rates. The only negative is they don't allow beers on the water. But that is city ordinance, not their fault.

Grace & Ming helped provide my friends and I with an exceptional experience. We made the mistake of choosing paddle boards on a very windy day and they were courteous enough to let us switch to kayaks an hour into our trip. Will be back again soon!!!

We went for the Fourth of July fireworks. We thought that it would be crowded to park, but it was really easy to get in and out of the rowing docks. The experience was amazing. We had a fantastic view of the fireworks. I went with a friend, and we took our 5 year old daughters. All four of us fit comfortably in one canoe. The staff was very nice and helpful. The facility was outdoors in a wooded area so everything that comes with the outdoors is to be expected. Bring bug repellent.

I took my four year old son on a single kayak. It was our first time ever boating on anything. The staff was so patient with us and kind. We ll be back soon!

It was such a great experience! I found the place roaming on the internet, and when we got there, it took us to a completely new world. Even 5 minutes from downtown, it was so peaceful and relaxing. Will be back regularly!

Nice rentals, we use the public dock on the west side. Easy in & out.

Great people, very helpful, great selection of things to do (ride, float on, etc.), well priced. We picked a beautiful November day to visit Lady Bird Lake and the Dock, as you can see. We'll be back!

Fast lines even on a busy memorial weekend. Decent prices. Only issues is no place to swim around the dock and the bathroom is a porta potty.

Good pricing and friendly service along with things being lined up well for a smooth experience. I d recommend arriving to the dock 5 minutes before your hour runs out so you can get there on time without being charged for another thirty minutes for being a few minutes late. Something I ll be doing next time!

Love the location under the MOPAC bridge. That is where most of the paddle boarders end up either way. Parking can sometimes be an issue just outside of the rental store, but you can always park along the street. Great selection of canoes, kayaks, and paddle boards, and they also have a punch card option that can save you a little bit of money.

Best time ever. $25 an hour for a canoe to hold my husband and I and our border collie. If you row down far enough, there's an off the leash dog park! From the dock, you row to your left to get to it. Excellent staff, helpful and efficient.

Not only does Rowing Dock have a FUN and FRIENDLY staff, but they have some pretty decent prices. I like that the parking situation is a lot friendlier here than elsewhere. I also like that my dog was welcomed with me on the paddleboard and given a treat. :) He and I come here all the time!

One of few places we found open all week during the off season! We Rented a kayak and a bag to keep our stuff safe, the whole process was easy and a fair price! We had an excellent time on the Colorado River thanks to Rowing Dock!

The line was terribly long (to be expected on Memorial Day weeekend). The process was easy and It was super fun and so pretty! Great views and a great way to relax!

Other than having my purse stolen out of my unbroken car while my keys were left with the front desk?! My husband, 5 year old and I had a memorable day. I hate to instigate but the guy who helped check us in, knew my belongings were in the car and was not there when we checked out. Not to mention one of the girls hand was a little shaky while writing down information. I had very important and valuable items in my purse. Very upsetting. Btw the manager never got back to us with video surveillance ALL over the place especially in and around the front desk. Police was notified.

With all that said, most of the crew there was helpful and showed a lot of sympathy. We did have a great time on the lake but wished our day ended better than explaining to our daughter why people feel the need to steal someone else's hard earned belongings.

Out of the 2 kayak rental places in austin I have tried I prefer this one. The Kayaks were a little nicer, and I think it's a little less known making it less busy.

Very friendly folks with good equipment. The paddle boards had straps to secure a water bottle.

Edit They do have an alert on the website saying there is a river ban on effect. But it won't pop up if you use mobile device! And it is of vital importance to approach the river when it is safe. So please make sure to double check with them before you actually go.
Hello EVERYONE! They closed the lake! So DON'T go before you check with them! We checked their website and google review this morning and drove for two hours, only to be told by the staff that everything has been closed for two weeks. No sign and update at all! Really upset. Even when we were parking and preparing, ppl before us just come and go without a word.

We had an excellent time on our SUP tour with Philip from Rowing Doc ATX!! I highly recommend Rowing Doc, their staff is always friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. The equipment is always clean and in great shape, and their doc is very easy to launch from...and of course the view is beautiful!

Better if you get there early! The line can get pretty long. Nevertheless a super relaxing experience.

Some team members could be more polite. Prices are good, equipment is also good

Dog Friendly! Great experience and super cheap! But I would recommend a better system or more tents for shade if we are going to wait 2 hrs in line every weekend

Best place to kayak/canoe in Austin. Water is CLEAN, The staff is friendly , and the prices are great. Lots of space in the water. The staff is also very attentive and professional. Children and Dog friendly place. They even have toddler sized life jackets. The Best Location hands down. The surrounding scenery is absolutely AMAZING... Perfect Sunsets and views of The City. I would live out here if I could.

Lots of people no masks social distancing none existent on public dock ! This dock is not the rowing dock that is private which enforces mandatory masks , I would ask people using the adjacent small public dock to wear masks please

Rowing Dock was my first SUP experience and I loved it! The staff was super helpful but not overly informational or anything. This is the perfect summer hangout because you can spend as much time as you want on the water without owning a boat and it's very well priced. They also have free kind bars which was pretty awesome. I can't wait to go back!

Fast/ Efficient-from paying to being on the water. Very friendly staff.
There are a few boating places to choose from in this area, but this is the one I will continue to use

Cool spot to start your journey in the Colorado River! go left and you'll find a split fork, left or right.. you pick your journey.

Get here early or you will be standing in line. Easy and enjoyable!!!!

If I could rate lower I would. I have been a customer at Rowing Dock for a couple of years now but our visit today has never been so awful. The waiting time was ridiculous, and completely unorganized. But what made it a really horrible experience was the customer service. First I was yelled at for not waiting to hand over my waiver when there was no one in front of me. Then when returning to the dock my friend had dropped her phone in the water and was frantically trying to retrieve it with no help. We finally went to checkout, but was informed we were going to be charged extra for taking an extra 23 minutes when in reality we brought them their kayaks back in time, but we were just in a state of panic. The employee checking us out was the worst of all. She had a lot of attitude and had zero sympathy for our situation & was determined to charge us extra. Which we didn t really have a say in since they already had our card on file so needless to say I will never be returning to this place.

Great prices for paddle boarding. Only with they great cubbies that locked so you don't have to run back to your car before getting out on the water while the rental time is going. Great location!

A whole lot of fun. I would recommend this little spot. The road parking is a bit precarious and lines can get long, but once you are on the water it's saul goodman.

We had a great time on the kayaks. Staff are friendly. Most of us had been kayaking before, so we knew what to do. They have cubbies for your shoes, but no lockers. They have a system for keeping your car keys if needed.
There was a snow cone truck inn the parking, which was heat to have afterwards.
Fyi, for those who haven't been kayaking before, they don't give you a lesson on the basics before heading out. If this is your first time, please ask them for some instruction.
