Great place for kayaking, canoeing and paddle boarding. Never have to wait more than 10 minutes even on weekends. great fun!

I came here for a bachelorette weekend activity and it was a lot of fun. I enjoyed it so much I came back the next weekend with my boyfriend to show him how much fun it was. Needless to say he enjoyed it too. Good price and relaxing activity to do on a nice day.

in order to rent at this establishment, you must have a credit card or debit card for a deposit, no cash only rentals, location is prime and there is a bit of wait time to check in.

The staff are always friendly and helpful. The lake is great too and really relaxing.

I love the rowing dock so much. I enjoy taking the paddle boards out and paddling to where the skyline is behind me and it makes for a great picture! I take my friends to the rowing dock for some summer fun

The service to get a kayak is fast and they have great rates. There is also a shaved ice truck near the dock that makes fantastic shaved ice.

My first time going here today. Have always seen this place but never been. The ladies that worked here was very kind and offered great suggestions. Had fun and will definitely be back. My first time catching a bass unfortunately I couldn t pull it in! Will be going back tomorrow for one more time. Hopefully catch that bass!

My go to kayaking place in Austin. It s a bit further down the river but generally has lower prices.

I was visiting Austin and wanted to kayak after seeing how popular the waterfront was, and Rowing Dock made it really easy to do! They walk you through the whole process and have really great price options. For being a recreational activity near downtown, I expected it to be expensive, but it really is a good deal! From signing papers to getting the equipment, I was in the water within 10 minutes or less. The staff were all extremely friendly and wanted to know where I was from and how my trip to Austin was going. Make sure to stop by Rowing Dock if you re in Austin!

We had a great time for an inexpensive rate. Will be going again.

We did the full moon night paddle boarding. Unbelievable views of the city with perfect water reflections. Thanks for a romantic and awesome time!

Rowing Dock is awesome. I always have a great time on Town Lake when I come here because it's affordable and convenient. Usually I will paddle down to Red Bud trail and back and by then my hour is up and I'll turn in my kayak then head to zilker park to play some volley ball. Or I'll go down to Barton Springs. Just depends on how I'm feeling that day. I do highly recommend this to anyone looking to rent a kayak on town lake.

Have your ID and debit card out, sign the waiver and get on the water! Its that simple. Also, write on the waiver what kind of raft you need to take out to make it simple. Expect a (short) line everytime, kind and sufficient staff and solid water machines. I love this place!

Came here with the hubby in tow from Houston. Considering the ongoing pandemic and all the people that were there, these guys rocked. Fast service, friendly staff, and most excellent time had!! The water at this lake is cool and refreshing and overall was an amazing experience!!! 10/10 would come again.

Excellent rowing choices with kayaking but lots of crowds and waiting. Bit pricey but can t beat the views from under the bridge. Be careful in boarding the kayak, or else you would end up like me taking a dunk in the river! Amateur mistake and I have wised up now. Keep an eye out for university rowing team, they do row with style and gusto.

Edit They do have an alert on the website saying there is a river ban on effect. But it won't pop up if you use mobile device! And it is of vital importance to approach the river when it is safe. So please make sure to double check with them before you actually go.
Hello EVERYONE! They closed the lake! So DON'T go before you check with them! We checked their website and google review this morning and drove for two hours, only to be told by the staff that everything has been closed for two weeks. No sign and update at all! Really upset. Even when we were parking and preparing, ppl before us just come and go without a word.

My family used this company for the first time recently and we had a great experience. I'm a wheelchair user and they were patient and kind in accommodating me. They were also wonderful in their attitude toward my kiddos.

They're a bit pricier than some of the other places we've tried, but I felt like it was worth it for the awesome customer service.

We had so much fun rowing the boat This was my first time and I was scared to sit inside the boat.. I got the trick to control the directions eventually. I would love to visit and fo kayaking once again

After bringing a group of 11 to rent kayaks and having a wonderful time, I forgot to pick up my license from the check-in desk. At almost 9 pm I got a call from Noelle at the Rowing Dock. She informed me that I forgot to check in and left my license. They were already closing and I was over 30 minutes away. Other staff recommended that they mail my license after the holiday weekend. I needed my license! Noelle agreed to wait for me till I got there at 9:45 and handed me my license! Now my family can continue our holiday weekend plans which required my ID! Thank you Noelle for going above and beyond and being an amazing person! I will come back to the Rowing Dock just because they hire wonderful people like you!

They have Stand-up paddle boards and kayaks. Every full moon they have nigh rowing till 10pm. It's pretty cool.

This is the Go To place when visiting Austin. The staff is pretty straight forward. The prices are nice too! Check this place if you like to go kayaking!

Great location, equipment and employees. I have been there twice now. I was unable to row one time due to a wind advisory and I made the 30 min drive back home. They could have been more specific about the usual periods they stop renting out for when there is an advisory etc. Returned the next day and did it anyway and it was great!

I reallt enjoyed my experience the kayaks glide well and balanced well also their deals were way better than their competitor. You can use a credit card and dont need cash and the kayaks are just so delightful.
