Ambience was good. The service quality was average.

Where shall I start, Rose View Hotel is the only 5 star hotel in Sylhet. I stayed at the hotel twice. First time for 10 days and five years later the second time for 6 days which is not common. Remember most of the people in Bangladesh don't stay in hotels for long. Every day at breakfast I used to see new faces.

The Hotel and the rooms are beautiful and clean. The water pressure in the shower is really good and the minibar is perfect with good choice of drinks and snacks. The staff members treat you like royalty and are really friendly. Most of them can speak English. The welcome basket and drinks are very welcoming. The breakfast is delicious, you will be spoilt with choice with 50 to 60 different types of item. The hotel has one of the only licensed bar in Sylhet. The bar is really nice with a good selection of drinks. The Price of the drinks are little bit more dear then the west but what do you expect, most of the drinks are imported in. After a long hot day out when you come back to the hotel you forget that you are in Bangladesh.

The day I checked out the hotel manager Mr Sohel gave me and my wife a very beautiful gift. I will definitely recommend this hotel to people who like to enjoy Bangladesh but want a good nights sleep without worrying about the mosquitoes and the heat =]
