Always a great meal. Must say though for such a Great place, fireplace, great atmosphere, to see the exposed kitchen and cleaning supplies kinda changed the look. I wonder if there was a barrier that had been lifted since it was 10:30ish pm, or closing time?

Was there for my birthday on 08/31. Food was good. No complaints. But they should have more varieties on the menu . Place was clean . Sat quite close to the lake . Our waitress was awesome. Will definitely be visiting again .

My husband has been to Rose's every since he was a child, but it was my first time. We had a lovely meal in the heated porch with a lovely view of the snow-covered lake. Our servers, Stacie and Katie, we're simply the best! We will be making this a regular stop when we visit family in GR.

Beautiful spot. Over looking the lake any time of year is just great. Food is solid, and staff is great as well. Plan for a wait during normal hours as this place is an institution and very popular.

First time I learned of this place was summer of 2018. I was on a date. Both dishes we got were fantastic and the atmosphere here, especially out in the patio area, is on point. Prices are reasonable. Wait staff is friendly enough without being pushy.

My wife got a shrimp salad and only 1 shrimp then asked for more and server got her 1 more! And I asked for salmon and exchanged quinoa for asparagus and I got a different vegetable! But over all great location by reeds lake!!!!

I normally love this place. This time I took my mother for her birthday (on a Monday) and service was so slow. It look almost 40 minutes for our salads, and another 30+ for our dinner. Our server was fine but the kitchen was way behind, our food was delicious when it did finally arrive.

Dinner reservations at 6:30, finally had a table at 7:15. My order of angel hair pasta with seared chicken turned out to be chicken noodle soup. I asked for more bread to soak it up. Very bland, probably because all the water, and the vegetables with it were not cooked. The chicken was definitely not seared either. Had it just been my wife and I, I would have left without dinner.

The root chips and kettle corn are great! I also give them a thumbs up for having super kind employees. The environment is really cool. You can sit inside, outside over the covering, or outside by the dock on the lake. My only suggestion is adding more menu items.

You can never go wrong with Rose's. Every time we come here the food and the service is amazing! The views of reeds lake are spectacular, and you can often see sailboats on the water too. Lots of room to walk around just outside and a nice garden area as well. Great place!

Rose's is one of my East GR fav's! We always get the root chips, yumm-o They have lots of GF options for me as well as a superb Creme Brulee. Service was great & you can't beat the view whatever season you visit.

The food was EXCELLENT! We had the hummus with veggies as a starter, fish and chips and roasted veggies for dinner, and marbled brownie for dessert.

It was just a bummer to get that kind of service. My daughter who was with me, has been here before and had excellent service, so I know it s not everyone.
This will not deter me from trying Roses again in the future.

Plastic chairs, not good, someone will get hurt. Umbrella, 2 people out of 5 are in the shade, the waitress has a hard time moving them. A shade sail would be perfect. You wouldn't need those umbrellas. The food was excellent. It was a very uncomfortable setting.

Like all restaurants in the Gillmore collection, the food is really just not that good. It's okay, but it isn't what I would expect for the price at all. The view is incredible and I absolutely loved it, which is why it's such a shame about the food. I thought the drink selection was good and the wait staff were very friendly. I will likely return, but only for the view on the patio in the spring/summer/autumn.

Food, service and setting are all excellent. I have been there a dozen times and never been disappointed. Recommended martini: "The Cure"... a great English rock band and a great martini at Rose's.

Great staff and awesome food! Loved being out on the covered patio and our waitress took great care of us while waiting for another person to arrive. Definitely going there again next trip to Grand Rapids.

This is one of our favorite date night spots! We love getting to sit out on the water after a long day of kayaking on the lake. The menu is always on point, we try to make it a habit stopping here at least once a weekend.

Beautiful views over Reed's Lake. Food and service were very good. Only 4 stars because they had hard ciders listed on their daily menu selection but the ciders were not even available.

Such a great night at Roses. Our first time back since the quarantine, and we had such amazing service. Rob went out of his way to take care of us at the bar and Lauren was very attentive at dinner. Great food, drinks and ambiance.

We started off ordering cocktails. A negroni and a paloma . When I was served my drink, the paloma, I pulled off a large black strand of hair. The waitress apologized and I said it's fine because I didn't want to be petty. I tried to take a couple sips out of it but was still pretty grossed out and could not drink it. Then we received our appetizer, the crab cake. As pictured, the apples were brown and soggy. It didn't look appetizing at all. Yet we just ate around it. Then our entrees came out. I ordered the blackened mahi tacos. Once again, the apples in the slaw were soggy. And the rice was mushy. I took one bite out of it before deciding I was too disappointed and I sent it back. The waitress was apologetic and took it off of our bill. After the tip we ended up paying $60. So it was definitely disappointing to spend that amount when it looked and tasted sub par and even sent something back. Definitely one of the few places I wish I just didn't give a chance.

We had horrible waitress that couldn't care less about service or food. After the food was delivered, she had came around didn't ask how the food was. Her only question was if we needed anything else from her. She was very preoccupied with another table.
The fries in the fish and chips were pale and undercooked. The fries were hot lunch grade. Not fresh cut. For the price of the dish, I expected more and better service. The fish was good.
