If you can, get an outside table or one next to a large window that gives you an expansive view of the inlet and shoreline while you enjoy some of the best food around. We travel from Lansing to Grand Rapids just to enjoy everything Rose's has to offer. The food is scrumptious. The portions are good sized. The service is attentive. The prices are just right.

Go here for special reunions with family only. It's a beautiful place on Reeds lake. The food and service are always phenomenal and this is one of the few places I will try anything on the menu. Try the bruscheta appetizer! It is pricy but the great memories this place can help create is well worth the price.

Roses was great our server was cute little pregnant girl named Tracie she was very efficient and had a wonderful personality my food was awesome. All together a great experience .We will see you there soon

I have been alerted that the waiters, waitresses, and cooks have all been complaing and "gossiping" about me and some others that I dine with. Great food, but it disappoints me that the staff is talking about us for "not tipping enough" when the service was inferior. also, we have tipped almost 100% in the past. I now feel uncomfortable to come to the restaurant with my friends.

Not a horrible restaurant, but it definitely doesn't hold up to it's reputation. It's even more surprising for a restaurant from the Gilmore Collection. The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. It seemed like mass produced food rather than made from scratch. I had a hamburger that felt like it could have come from Culver's or Smashburger. Definitely not worth the $12 for a burger basket. My wife's dish was likewise - fish and chips but the fish was plain and fries were generic.

Overall not impressed considering it's high standard. I would expect more for the name and price - handcut fries, hand made burger, more original seasonings, etc. Nothing was very bad, just not worth the price. I probably wouldn't go there again.

The location is nice...the service is the exact opposite...the management appears clueless how to seat a restaurant...be prepared to wait for a long time while tables sit empty...also do not expect a server to head to your table once you are seated...we eat out twice a week in GR area....by far worst dining experience of the last 2 years....the good news is you can play the " will this server stop" game and take bets when someone will actually come to the table

Rose's Blows'es -A poem

Rose's Blows'es -A poem

When we got here, we vallet'd the car
The food that we had was sub-par
But now three hours later
We look for our waiter
We should have just gone to the bar

We arrived at 5:45pm Saturday, waited a half hour, not bad, it's expected. But after being seated, we barely saw our waitress, to some extreme levels, and our drinks (Mojito and rum punch can take a while I know) but didn't come out until after the food. I don't know how long it would've taken if we didn't place our food order with our drinks.

Food rating:
My spicy Italian pizza was good and for $15 or $16 was an okay deal.
Other meals as rated by their patrons:
Fish and chips - good but small portion not worth $20
Parmesan crusted chicken - tiny portion, tasted fine though.
Pesto linguini - "don't even consider it" weirdly sweet and the taste was so off. We had the pleasure of watching the table next to us order it and go through the same facial expressions that we did when tasting it.

We then waited even longer for water refills and WAAYY too long for any check.

Overall, we felt it was overrated and over priced for the experience and food that we had. With the choices around the area, we don't see ourselves coming back and choosing to wait for what we had.

I took my teenage daughter to Rose's for some Daddy-Daughter time. The casual elegance was not lost on her. Food = Great, Service = Great! My ulterior motive was to raise the bar for any future boyfriends - Thank you Rose's for helping me with this project. I recommend!

What a great restaurant. I had a Father's Day dinner here for the first time the other day, and had an awesome experience. The lake view is amazing, with sailboats and a nice breeze. The service, by several staff, was above average. They offer valet service. And of course...the food! The Yellowfin Tuna was exceptional and well prepared. I'd like to come back and explore the menu more soon. GREAT PLACE!

Had a wonderful meal at Rose's last night. Rose's has taken the responsible step to use disposal menus and all servers are wearing disposable gloves which they changed repeatedly. I noticed how conscientious all of the staff members were about disinfecting condiment containers and all other surfaces. Our party had the root chips, peasant salad and pesto grilled salmon. All items were delicious! I hope everyone will continue to support our many wonderful restaurants in town. At the very least, order takeout!

This place has delicious food and a great location.

I just kinda feel bad for the staff for having to deal with cranky rich people all day. I heard every table within earshot complaining about some trivial detail to make their boring lives seem more exciting.

$10 for a plate of chips with a couple of tablespoons of dip. The bangers in my Bangers and Mash were burnt. Also, I'm not sure the cherries worked well. My husband got the pot roast, which was only okay. The bread pudding had very little spice, and ended up as a lump of sweet goo as a result. Quite expensive for a less than pleasing meal.

The high points: The view was lovely. Our waitress was spot on; especially since it was so busy

Overall, it wasn't the worst place that I've eaten, but for the price, there are many, many other delicious eateries around Grand Rapids that I would rather visit.

I didnt get any inside shots of the restaurant but never visited before I was amazed at the beauty of reeds lake! We sat outside and it was beautiful. The food was stellar and the waitress was amazing. Would definitely go back!!!

Great location right on the water and they even offer vegetarian options! Pesto chicken pizza (sub vegan chicken) was moist, very flavorful and the thin crust is perfect! Was even tasty the next day. Very palatable wine options. Caesar salad has a hint of horseradish and I loved it. Tatiana was a great server- friendly and accommodating. Suggestion: ensure servers know the wine list and the pronunciation; offer some of the reserved wines by the glass.. #flavafulltv

The food was very tasty. I am a low salt vegan and there were a few menu choices for me. I have the grilled vegetables with a balsamic reduction sauce. The only think I would have preferred were larger portion sizes.

A bubbly hostess greeted me and I requested that my friends and I be seated at a booth. Eventually, she worked this out and we sat in a cozy corner. Our waitress was fine, though she seemed hurried and was short with us, perpetually rushed. She managed to bring out every order correctly, but I prefer a more personable vibe.

I love Rose s. It is has a great location right on Reed s Lake and is a perfect date spot when you re looking for something romantic with an upscale casual feel. The food is slightly pricey, but it certainly is worth it. I recommend Rose s to all of my friends and family who are looking to experience this part of Grand Rapids.

Delicious food! At first, it doesn't seem like you get very much in an entree, but it really is quite enough. Marbled brownie was huge, gelato delicious! The staff was more than accommodating for our son in his stroller. Family friendly, but I felt slightly too casual in a concert tee and shorts. Beautiful lake view!

We sat outside on the deck on a warm, overcast day. We had a fantastic server and ordered drinks and food. It started to sprinkle so our server helped us bring extra umbrellas to cover our table until the rain passed. When the radar changed and it started to down pour she went in to request to move us inside but was told we would have to wait an hour even though our food was 5 minutes out. They were seating multiple parties outside when we arrived. Management should probably consider this situation, or make exceptions for guests who have food coming, that can no longer dine on their patio. We would have had to stand in the bar and eat but our server ended up building us a make shift table in the covered entry way so we could enjoy our meal in a dry location, she definitely made the best out of a not so ideal situation.

The fish and chips were very heavy in breading with not a lot of flavor, while the Cole slaw had no flavor at all...it was labor day weekend but even tho the service was slow even for the check while the resturant was empty at 10 at night

Lovely setting on a lake with both indoor and outdoor seating. Attentive and helpful staff. Very good portion sizes, all unmistakably freshly made. Artichoke dip appetizer was especially good, with s little bit of a kick. Excellent creme brule for dessert. Not cheap but totally worth it.

Lunch at Rose's was great. Atmosphere is relaxed views are beautiful and food is great. I had the Mahi mahi sandwich. Very good, lots of flavor, my wife had the turkey burger, that's what I'm getting next time. It was great.

Delicious food and picturesque setting! We had spinach salad with chicken and shrimp. All the food we saw LOOKED great! Menu has nice choices... Some sandwiches, some pasta, steaks, salads, etc. Food appears to be home made with fresh ingredients. Can sit outside by the lake or indoors in pleasant dining room.

What a great place for a special night out! Situated on Reeds Lake with lots of windows in the winter and outdoor seating during summer. Classy place with creative dishes always well prepared and beautifully presented. I would expect to pay more for all of this but so glad I don't have to.

Nice atmosphere on the lake. Parking difficult for newbies. Theres a hidden parking structure across the street behind the condos. Wonderful menu options and excellent quality. Price reflects this. Certainly a place we'll add to our summer options.

Good food - outdoor atmosphere is fantastic if you are willing to wait (which there almost always is during mealtimes). I like to plan for this extra time and take a walk around the main street or find a spot by the lake. Only 4 stars because i find it slightly pricey.

Great food. Great location. One of the more expensive Gilmore restaurants. No reservations can make for long waits (1hr+), but if you plan ahead and enjoy the park next door, the time flies by.

This place is so cute and cozy. They have an outdoor seating area that is literally right on the water. The ducks swim up right next to you. Obviously, you can't do that in the winter, but the view is still beautiful. Some of their food is on the pricier side, but worth it. They have food that is cheaper, too, like sandwiches and pizza. Most importantly, though, are the bloody Mary's. They have the absolute best Bloody Mary's I have had (so far). They're around $8 and I order no less than 2 when I go there. I could go there and just have Bloody Mary's for dinner, and I would be a happy camper. I believe they have specials on Bloody Mary's on Sundays, but I haven't gone there on a Sunday yet. Hey, today is Sunday. I'll have to go get a Bloody Mary today. Seriously, if you like Bloody Mary's, go get one from here. Also, the food is really good.
