DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AT THIS UNPROFESSIONAL ESTABLISHMENT!! My family and I (4 adults and 2 kids, plus 3 babies) requested to dine outside. They informed us that it would be a 1 hour wait. So, we asked to be placed on the list AND I received a confirmation text that we were on the list. The text was received at 7:44 pm and we returned at 8:50 pm because we HADN'T received a text that our table was ready. My husband went to check on the wait time and they told him that they never made reservations for that number of people and the kitchen was now closed. I showed the manager the text and he proceeded to give us his story about how tough his job is because he's short staffed. We quickly let him know that this was very unprofessional and we felt hurt because we have been walking around downtown Greenville with hungry children and out of town guest. We deserved to be notified!! The manager had no remorse and simply stared at us. WE WERE DENIED SERVICE AT ROOST!! I wish 0 stars was an option.

Excellent quality service. Was served in a timely manner. Food was delicious as expected.

Very high-quality food, and fantastic service. The Porcini and Truffle Ravioli was cooked to perfection, and the ingredients complimented each other. The food tells a story, one in which I would read the book every night, and watch the movie every weekend. Please give your business to this restaraunt.

I love this place. The pot pie one of the best, the fried chicken (very spicy) is delicious. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the bread the put under the chicken. Was too wet and greasy. But, my daughter asked for a waffle instead and OMG! She definitely enjoy it! At times I asked for the Roost chicken it coleslaw and is really good too. The chicken is well done and at the same time soft and juicy. Roost Restaurant is one of our favorite places to eat in Greenville SC.

My family and I were sorely disappointed. The wait staff was nice, but not on top of the service. The pork chops are very tasty, but other items were not very good or well prepared. Our reservation was for 7:15 and last call on the bar was 8:00? It just seemed the crew was ready to leave. I don't normally write reviews, but this time I had to as it was a total disappointment. We don't plan to return.

DELICOUS!
They accommodated our large party extremely well. Kevin needs a raise! Best server! And whoever the bartender is is amazing. I had 3 delicious mocktails. Timely service. Great appetizers. The pizza could use some work, it tasted kind of frozen, but all of the appetizers were great!

If you only want one dish, go for the dry rub wings. Excellent! Update since I didn't take pic first time.
Second time before I go. The wings were that good. I asked the waiter for a little more of rub and she gladly obliged. Nice service

The dry style wings were wonderful. The atmosphere was enjoyable and relaxing. The staff was very hospitable. The drinks at the bar was very good. We like the bartender. My wife left her purse on a chair at the bar and the bartender looked out for her and hold on to it till she returned to retrieved it. This place is now one of our favorite places to get a drink and eat.

Delicious fresh taco lunch and yummy posole soup. The portions were very generous which is always a plus! We loved the ambiance and sitting outside in the covered seating area. Waitress was attentive and friendly.

Not at all happy with dining experience a Roost!
Made online reservations early in the morning, requesting patio seating for 7 p.m. at night. When arriving to the restaurant we were informed that patio seating had been reserved prior to my reservation. However I got no notification or communication from the restaurant. We ordered drinks, and then appetizers, appetizers arrive before I drinks, they didn't even have the simple domestic beer Yuengling in stock that they had on there their menu which was very small and limited! Food was no more than mediocre for the price. I was told the chicken and dumplings were homemade fresh, in all honesty they taste like they came out of a can and extra seasoning with added to the dish. The macaroni and cheese was very dry and have very little cheese.
Needless to say, we will not be returning to Roost!
