I knew going into college I had to be proactive about my education because things don't come easy in the real world. Thankfully I found great help when I went in to speak with a guidance councilor. Also the new student orientation taught me a lot about my resources at the college, the most memorable part that stuck out to me was the funding your college part. I took advantage of the TRIO program to figure out the FAFSA thing. I can't wait to start on my nursing degree now and I just hope I win scholarships to make my college dreams a reality!

Of all the RCC campuses, I think this one is the best! Located in the beautiful woods, it has a large parking lot that is free to park in, and there are lots of plants and nice pathways throughout the campus. From my experience, the instructors are great!

I wish I never wasted my money. The enrollment staff were condesending and snarky. Some teachers made clear their disdain for certain political and religious ideologies. I had teachers who missed multiple classes, when I brought up that I was struggling, I was told that everything I need to learn was in the book. If all I need is the book, why not lower my tuition and get rid of the teachers? I was completely dissatisfied with a teacher's style and work ethic so I finally withdrew from the class. When I brought up the issue to their support staff I was told there was nothing they could do to for me, and I was out a few hundred dollars. Never mind the fact that career programs are in cycles, so if you miss a class, you have to wait until the next year to continue the program.
The whole experience was so impersonal, which I would not expect from a small school.
Do yourself a favor and go to a trade school, where the teachers are actually experienced in what they are teaching and the school has a support staff who actually care about your success.

Persistence required. While my story might be a little lengthy it is critical people have the details. I decided I would enroll in RCC. During the entire enrollment I felt completely on my own. For most of the process I blindly followed a new direction from a new person/department. I wanted to understand the process but nobody seemed to really know or would not say. I had to take one step at a time until my first classes started. I finally got through the whole process and even finished two classes with a passing grade. I was working full time while taking two classes twice a week. I had to withdraw after illness and infection would have it no other way. Once healed, I knew working full time and taking two classes was unrealistic. I was surprised and disappointed about how much they expect you to teach yourself. I thought most of the learning would come from the teachers, not so. You cannot afford mistakes and you cannot afford to fall behind.

One of the most disgusting experiences I have ever had the displeasure of encountering. The people who work their way to the top of the organization are the most vile humans you can imagine dealing with.

RCC Apprenticeship programs

RCC Apprenticeship programs
Thank you, Andie, for explaining the RCC apprenticeship programs. I look forward to working with you and students who show interest in the many opportunities RCC offers. Letting students know the skills they should have will only give them a better chance of being accepted into the program. I appreciate you sharing your knowledge and experience with us.

Easily the most Racist, sexist and corrupted college in Gp. Repeatedly and constantly screwing over the lower income students and teachers choosing favorites, especially with financial aid services, They uninformative and unreliable. Its the same story time and time again consistently. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME, OR YOUR MONEY BECAUSE THEY WILL FORCE YOU TO SPEND IT.
