Rodeo Spur (Spur Steak Ranches Franchise) Review

I love this Spur. I feel like part of the Spur family thy always friendly and the food is good quality.

When we were there was very chilled, not much kids running up an down, service good an good too

This spur was clean and we were greeted by a wall of waiters as we entered, a little annoying in the morning to have so many eyes on you as you come up the escalator. Once seated waiter forgot our wifi codes and didn't seem to enthused on having clients in. He was very one worded, and good order taker so be to sure to mention everything you want, as inititive looks like it can be a challenge at times by certain waiters. The food was prepared quickly though.

Quality has dropped drastically, stuffed up 2 orders of steak first got a sirloin with more fat than steak on it. Sent it back got a second steak that was like rubber, Sent back as well and would rather not eat. Only reason gave 2 stars staff were friendly but that's about it.

Good restaurant, recently overhauled their plates and cutlery to a more modern and classy feel (matte plates, wooden boards, decorative holders for sides etc) and it adds to the overall experience. The restaurant is Halaal and spacious inside.

A good restaurant to be at, with nice customer service.

Always a Great place to be, especially the service of Zolani what a great waiter. Well done Zolani.

Chip portions getting smaller along with meals but you know what you getting into great taste

I have waited for the whole hours instead was to be 8 to 15 minute according to their spoken word of the management. My friends were peaced off.

Ribs was dried out and portion less than before. Overall the quality of has gone down...so disappointed.

Service was good, food was good. But just feel the place needs a make over, looking rather old and worn out

Hi earlier today i had called rodeo spur to book a party for my son . i spoke to a Nosi who apparently is the manager . I had told her that i will called back just needed to clarify something with my husband. I called back and i was told they booked out. The man who answered went to call manager and Nosi came to the phone telling me in a sarcastic tone that she is in a meeting with her waiters and she will call me back and i said okay but before i could say anything further she puts phone down in my face . It is almost 18:30 and she still has not call. Im not very impressed with her attitude . What kind of people are put in charge. I will take this further .

On entering, we were greeted and assisted and welcomed. We had a problem with our children birthday meals however Cecelia the manager was very friendly and helpful. She made our evening supper very special with her assistance and our waitor 'Marvelous was 5 star. Definitely a good family environment and the food was excellent....

Food was cold, ribs were tough and not fall of the bone. They attended to it by reheating but food was not the same. For the high prices, it's definitely not worth it and will probably not visit again

I ordered a steak well done. When it arrived it was cold and not cooked properly. It was definitely not well done. Infact it was still pink with red liquid running out of it everytime you touch it. Definitely not worth my time and money. Will not be returning to this restaurant again. Emailed the Manager and still no response til today.

The worst so far..

-Very crowded with noises and kids all around .
- we waited more than 30 min for our food to come.
-burned ribs and over cooked steaks although we ordered it to be medium well.

And then when we told them that the food was bad..they gived us a waffle like we were kids or something .

This experience was extremely disappointing. Firstly it was very dirty, place mats and menu were sticky and we received food cold. Considering they were very full, we overlooked waiting for almost an hour for our food,however they are usually very busy and should know how manage this time of the month properley

Five star Birthday Party special for my 6 year old and his 10 friends - they had fun...

Waiter was very friendly but had to send back the burger twice because it was cold the manager did come to the table to apologise and the chef also came to apologise which was actually very thoughtful

Had one of the worse experiences ever, had 3 different people and a manger wait our table, the food was cold, had to wait 10 minutes after my meal was served for sauces for a chedamelt schnitzel, my friends ordered a double burgers, they got singles and got served the burger patties after, received my cooldrink after I finished my food, they did not even compensate us for all tge trouble, this spur can go suck a **** i will never go back there ever. Please bare in mind that we were a group of 11 people, that was just my side.

The staff are quite delightful and the food is great

Started off having to get our own menus, waited 45mins for our food, didn't get something we ordered but it was on my bill and my steak was very fatty. Not my best experience at Spur by a long shot!!

Dear Spur,

The most unhygienic restaurant i have ever seen. Are your plates always that unclean i can understand a just wiped side plate but i went thru a 3 course meal with dirty plates I felt sick after eating there. I am a spur fan but rodeo its no spur to be the plates were dirty allll .

Myb you need to invest in a new dishwasher.

Nooooooo your plates were all dirty from starter to desert.....

I would recommend to use a hotplate for steaks and let it cook a bit more in front of u its cool and fun to do.

Very bad day at spur, im so upset brought to frech students all the way for a good meal. Our waiter never smiled once. Not once, here i am bragging about our wonderfull country and awsome spur we going to.... Gosh i got a cold surf n turf, my spich came as my meal was almost done and cold as well. My kids meals came way later. And by the end of the cold service and cold meal we still never got a smile from the waiter.

Waiting to meat up with friends who was coming with there kids i actually had to message them to go eat at another place and then meet later as my Frech guest were even starting to complain.

The staff on the floor as well as the kitchen makes a lot of noise, resulting in a bad dining experience. I'm a big supporter of Spur and try to visit different branches often. This one definitely falls in my bottom 5

Gone down the tubes. Was there yesterday and it was my table and 2 others that were occupied. The burger patty was stiff and tasteless. Can't compare to Goodwood or Kenilworth Centre. A point to note is they blame KC branch for not having customers not the poor food quality..

The kids at place of safety in Manenberg had a fantastic time the food was delicious and the playing area was child friendly and safe this is a day that the children will always remember. And a big thanks to the wonderful staff at Spur Clearmont.

Really a good spur but dont go around pay day or you will be very disappointed with long queues and inevitably being out of stock of your favourite meal.

Service was great and food was delicious. Spur is a restaurant that never disappoints.

Service is pretty ok, no smoking section also is a downer.

Just love the food options for kids. My daughter (2 years old) is a fussy eater but she thoroughly enjoyed her chicken (real chicken fillet, grilled) and many healthy sides to choose from. Not to mention how awesome my chicken schnitzel and my husband's Mexican stacked burger was!

Play area not suitable for toddlers more effort could be made to keep the little ones entertained

Junior your waiter was on the ball can't remember when I served like that he was awesome so hope spur looks good after him he doesn't need 5stars but 10stars
