Was at spur for breakfast. Sunny side up medium eggs perfect, steak perfect, mushrooms perfect. Sausage is...okay. service was great. Price is worth it although it'll probably be some before I can afford them again but I look forward to it . Best spur I've ever been to.
This is your typical spur. It is a bit weird not having any pork options as it is halaal, but a spur always maintains its experience
Quality has dropped, maybe because of covid? Steaks was thin, chips was cold and cheese sauce way too salty. Sad, because it was once enjoyable.
Favourite spur. Good food. Space for kids to play. Friendly staff. Family restaurant with fun.
Busy!! Being one of the few halaal Spur branches AND a play area it can get really busy. I don't recommend going on a weekend. Service is top notch, though.

To be fair, I have been here once and there was load shedding so everything was a rush. But food was great, service was a bit slow but could be due to the load shedding scenario.

I think by far the worst spur I've been to. I am not a customer that usually complains or even makes a scene. However, I am the customer that will tell 10 of her friends to tell 10 of their friends never to visit this spur or never come back.
So we were invited to a kiddies party at the spur. Great the kids got there meals and drinks. Then we decided to order our food, this was around 5pm. My husband and I are super hungry. The waiter brings menu's and proceed to order. He brings our waters and a coffee that we had just ordered. He then fails to inform us about anything after that. Never checked up on us. We continued to socialize while waiting not realizing that an hour has passed already. As we spot our waiter we then call him to the table asking him if he has forgotten us? He responds by saying no he has not forgotten. The clock reaches 6.05pm and we call the manager explaining what has happened. She then proceeds to call another manager who says that this is not on and he will find out what is going on. Now bear in mind that the manager normally walks around at spur always checking on customers. This however, was not done at this particular spur. We then proceed to tell them that we would like to cancel our order. We tell them we will even pay for our drinks paying is not the problem but waiting like this was not working at all. I have not eaten a proper meal for the day and now I have to wait for over an hour to be served with a meal. The waiter then proceeds to bring us a piece of paper with the 2 waters and a coffee written on it with a pen. Why did I not get a proper till slip? What are they hiding? Did they not place my order in the first place? Is that why I have my order and charges written on a piece of paper? Wow! This just shows me they either never punched in my order or are they are hiding it under the table. Not on at all! Super bad experience. I left the restaurant not only hungry but left feeling like I was not a "worthy" customer. I am outraged at this treatment. I will never return to this spur.
This branch needs to learn how to accommodate for the actual capacity of the restaurant.

Food was typical spur quality. Only drawback was it was exceptionally hot day and I needed a frozen drink. As they have virgin cocktails on the menu it wudve been perfect. But they had no stock of any cocktails and blender was broken. So have adequate stock for summer please. Other then that pleasant evening. Family restaurant.
I would like to say thank you to Shanice for a wonderful Spur Service. Because of you my son's birthday was both fun and tummy filling To Cecelia, thank you for the final touches and preventing me from panicking. The meals were fresh and exactly what I ordered. I'm truly grateful Ladies.
Food and service is OK.. Staff really make an effort to keep u happy however their dstv is flty and that's one of the reasons I go there to catch up on sport highlights etc

I have left my initial ranting as a reference below because I have to say after the experience I had the hospitality and handling of my complaint was dealt with immaculately. I would just like to thank Cecilia for assisting with everything. From the phone calls apologies, rebooking and serving you were absolutely outstanding. Thank you once again Rodeo Spur. I suggest you clone Cecilia because she is amazing.
After experiencing what we did we were ready to never return but our mind was changed with the hospitality we received.
I probably won't be back at this spur again. This used to be my go to place but tonight was just the cherry on top. Waiter just came to us put down placemats and walked away. Second time around he brought the menus and we had to ask him for his name which was farai. Ordered a starter and when we received it, it was ice cold. Eating fried mushrooms cold is horrible.we usually get side plates if we 2 people eating from one starter but non of that was offered. Besides that he got our order completely messed up. Husband ordered ribs and wings combo with sweet potatoe fries and I got the fries in my plate and there was no wings to be found. I ordered 400g chops which was half raw so I couldn't finish it because being pregnant I cannot eat anything close to being raw and the chops was cold including chips. Never got any straws and I had to ask him to clear our table of the dirty serviettes from the starter meal. We even had to ask for new cutlery otherwise we probably would've been left to eat with our hands. This is just ridiculous.
Staff was amazing and the restaurant was pork free. Very Muslim friendly and provided a tv showing 2 views of the play area

After a busy day, we arrived at end of office hours eager to enjoy a quick "sun downer" whilst waiting for traffic to disperse before setting out to another meeting. We were surprised to learn that our sort of drinks were not served, but then learned that we were at a strictly Halaal establishment.
Instead of leaving, we decided to reciprocate the warm welcome and friendly staff by respecting the culture and choosing something appropriate. Our waiter then also invited us to some more culture by treating us to Faloodas and Samosas on the house along with our order.
Sometimes in this world where we are constantly force-fed by mass media and nefarious political motivations that different cultures and religious ideals are a threat to our own, it is heartfelt to be reminded that we are all human beings and to simply respect another person's ways can turn out to be a most rewarding experience indeed.
Thank you, Rodeo Spur Management and Staff, for the best hospitality I can remember in years.

Service was bad. Waiter ignored us for long periods of time. They didn't have any desserts. Portion size of starter wings was too small.
Called to make a booking and was told not required "you can come at anytime" got there place full and no space a wait to get into the door, afterwards walked away and called to make another booking only to be placed on hold because noone can answer the question. Then left the call only to try several times over to get an engaged ring, well done you bravo you deserve a standing ovation for such service. And I am not intered in this computerized standardized response

Terrible service and a bad encounter. The first experience left me throwing up after I had a beef burger, something didn't taste right but I ate it nonetheless because I was quite hungry. Waited 30 mins for the food, and the food arrived incomplete. Drinks arrived 25 mins after we had finished our food, having to ask for it several times! And steak was bland. I will be making use of Topeka Spur from now on as their service are outstanding
