Roxanne was very friendly, personable and very accomadating throughout the whole sale but after I bought the boat from them she ceased all contact and stopped responding to my emails afterwards. It was the most unprofessional thing I've ever seen from an employee. I will not be going back there.

I'm also really concerned to see that I'm not the only one who's had a bad experience with them. These reviews are troubling and don't surprise me at all.

Bring your business elsewhere!!!

This place is trash. Disrespectful people out for a dirty dollar. They take pictures of you and your family enjoying the lake. Weird and creepy why? There's plenty of better places to spend your money. The other places also treat you a lot better!

Our pontoon rental went very well, but I have to knock a star off for the harsh rental terms. They give you all the terms up front when booking online and at the dock, but I still find it a bit ridiculous they only do rain checks, charge more for extra time and gas (on top of the holiday weekend surcharge), and make you pay a $500 deposit in cash, among other things. As I mentioned, everything went well and the young employees were nice and helpful, but be sure to read the rental terms and info on the website before renting the boat so you know what you are committing to. Otherwise, if you are fine with the strict terms, this is a good option for pontoon rentals.

My family rented a pontoon boat at Rockvam Marina this week, and we had an exceptionally good experience. The staff was very professional and made everything easy, from the reservation, to the ease of loading the boat and providing directions to fishing and swim areas. The boat was clean and ran perfectly. When we returned from a fun day on Lake Minnetonka, they made docking easy and even assisted one of our party who needed special care due to using a cane. The Marina is clean and has an old school charm with beautiful landscaping, and great close to the water parking. I would recommend this business to everyone and plan to return. Chris Stromwall

They make renting a pontoon very easy! Quick check-in and check-out. The boats are in a great shape. We are unexperienced boaters, but their pontoon boats are very easy to drive. They provided helpful tips and a map to help navigate the waters. We enjoyed the day out on the water, and couldn't have done it without Rockvam.

Wouldn t recommend. Boats are good, service is okay. Owner has decided to price gauge during COVID. Much better and cheaper options on the lake, keep this as a last resort if you re willing to greatly overpay.

Would never go back. Charged me $700+ to put my lower unit into a box and tell me that it's bad. I bet it didn't take an hour.

I would not recommend doing business with this company. They stole our deposit even after we cleaned up our boats.

We rented 2 pontoons and they made us put down a $400 deposit which is fine. I paid for the pontoons in advance and gave my employee the cash to put down the deposit. They would not give me my deposit back. It took 3 weeks - then they sent a check for $320 due to a cleaning fee. We cleaned all of these boats and emptied all of the boats out. Rockvam ripped us off. I would not suggest renting boats here.

Really disappointed as we were very excited to join the club. But between their convoluted restrictions on drivers and constant lapses/delatys in returning my emails and calls, we have decided to go to another boat club. When you really look at the cost and customer service I would recommend a different boat club as Rockvam is sadly subpar.

I've used their in/out service for 2 years. It is the best! Call them and they put your boat in. When you're done they put it away. The most civilized way to go boating.
In addition, they're nice people! I just wish the season was a little longer.

I have been coming here every year for the past 6 years.... pontoon rental during the weekday was reasonable. Now they have completely lost their minds. I come all the way from Georgia and do a lot boating(pontoon) in Florida.... Rockvam has the audacity to raise their rental prices to $400's-$800's for a 6 hour rental? Trash! Greed can cause a business to lose its customers. I won't be going here anymore. Prices are ridiculous.

Horrible customer service! Will never go there again...there was a thunderstorm and rain and we asked the manager if there was someone who could help us drive the boat from a nearby dock through the choppy waters...the manager was rude and she told us that we had to bring it back or pay $20,000. She shouted at us rudely for even asking...never again.

These guys are the Go to place for gas, service and storage, we are happy with the Rockvam Adventure!

EXTREME CAUTION when renting or boat club...I joined the boat club this year and they try to charge you for damages you do not do. They have you sign a form in the office, dont do inspections, then when you return the boat charge you for "prop" damages without inspection prior to launch. We took a boat out today that had garbage in it, was clearly not taken care of from prior use. No inspection was completed. Upon return they said that "seaweed" caused $300 of damage. I tried to fight it but since I signed a form in their office they said I signed off on a normal propeller. None of this was told to me, the process was not explained in any way. The business is shady, and apparently they want boat club members to pay for their aging fleet. If you must rent from them be sure the manager is present with you on the boat prior to launch. Would recommend taking business elsewhere. Will not be joining again, it's cheap for a reason.

Beautiful, majestic scenery along the lakes. Able to drive your boat right up to a restaurant or island. Courteous and responsive staff. Love to visit again

Unpleasant reservation experience. Boat was not particularly cleaned. Dock boy fumbled our towels into the Lake! Owner not pleasant. This is supposed to be a fun experience! We had a great time in spite of the process and people.

My Wife and I joined the Rockvam boat club this year, it is our first time with a boat club and with Rockvam. We have been delighted with our experience. The Rockvam folks are organized, polite and prompt. Everything runs exceptionally well. We intend to return for next years season.

Well I ve rented 3 times now and I don t plan to rent again. I m done with this place. I don t know it s midwestern culture being from Florida and being used to southern hospitality.... however I do not feel respected here. At the other boat clubs I ve been to (also a boat owner) with friends, the deck boys come out and bring your wheelbarrow to you. They load the boat and this is part of what you pay for. All they do here is dock your boat. I used to always tip them well only they didn t help and I ended up taking a spill and getting a huge bruise while maneuvering the wheelbarrow on the path that is too narrow for it. I was bleeding and I had to ask for a ******* towel. Really? I won t be back. I pay to rent so that I don t have to hurt myself (have done it on the hitch before and you know how that is the worst!) you don t do it a second time. Anyway, they aren t very friendly. The inside staff are nice, but overall I didn t feel that the service was exceptional. They need to hire real staff and not just kids to work there. Real customer service would be more than appreciated. Will be going elsewhere. And we are weekday renters who pay the most $ per ride..... I m done with you people. Will be trying other rental outlets in the area. Good riddance.

I've kept my boat there 2 seasons. I have good service and love having the boat stored dry.

I rented a pontoon boat back when I visited with my family in July 2017. I still have the receipt, it was $99/day and my final total came out to $135. I'm coming back and wanted to rent again but I see the price has gone up $600 for the same boat?! This is beyond sad and ridiculous, gas is cheaper now than it was 3 years ago so I know it's not fuel costs. This is robbery.

We had a great experience (aside from the afternoon showers). We plan to do it again next summer!

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. They said I never called to cancel my winterization service, and since they had no record, they would charge me the full amount whether I brought my boat in or not. I did call to cancel, they gave me verbal confirmation that it was done, and I didn't hear from them until they called me to schedule my boat coming in. Again, they said "they believed that I believed I called them, but that the call never took place." I've never experienced such dirty business practices in my life.

We are going on our thirtieth year with Rockvam. The crew is always very easy to work with. I appreciate the professional manner by which they conduct business.

The in/out service is the ultimate in boating experience.

Rented a pontoon and everything was very straight forward. The boat was basic, but exactly what we expected for the low price. Check in and out was fast and easy and we were not charged any additional fees

Loved it here, it was my first time here today. We celebrated my friends birthday. It was very affordable to rent a pontoon. The staff was really informative, and was willing to help us out with all of our needs on the dock. Check in was really easy and fast, as well as check out. We will be back!

Such a great environment and friendly staff! I recommend this 100%. Very affordable and you get a lot for your money. Rentals were all brand new and affordable!!

Awful customer service. Rented an older pontoon with visible wear, and was assessed a $75 charge to pay for normal wear and tear on the boat. This business takes advantage of their customers to help pay for normal maintenance of their boats. Have rented from this company several times, and have never had such a terrible experience. Would not recommend renting from this company, and will not be doing any future business with them.

Rented a fishing boat, staff was helpful. Boat was in great shape and had an awesome time.

Rude and way to expensive for 3 hrs. $330.00 plus $200 cash deposit. Hung upon me. Nasty!!!!

Was a fun time. Way over priced but if you got an extra $430 to spend on 6 hours for a pontoon more power to you. In my opinion that should get you the whole day.

HORRIBLE experience! Rockvam refused to honor the pontoon rental price advertised on their website (they have since removed it), despite confirming twice by phone. Roxanne, the manager, also refused to honor their advertised price. HORRIBLE customer service. Our day was ruined! Find somewhere else to rent!

Called to talk to service department. Explained the problem and the guy on the other end said we don't have time for that and hung up on me before I could ask when I could bring a boat in.

Rented a pontoon, no complaints. They definitely pay attention to the details in checking in and out the boat, but we kept it in good shape and no issues. $130 for a 6 hour rental is a good deal.

From the young lady inside to the dock crew outside the entire process was a breeze! All the staff members were super helpful, friendly and knowledgeable! The boat was absolutely wonderful and was ready when we arrived! Follow the markers on the lake and you have the makings for a great day out on Lake Minnetonka!

Worst place to rent a pontoon from. Boat didn't even look decent, lot of damage on it and looked rundown. They didn't even get it ready for us and we wasted 2 hours for them to get it ready and have to put down a $300 cash only deposit first or they won't get it ready at all for you. First and last time renting from this place. I can see why they always have pontoons available cause no one wants to rent from them.

Rented a pontoon. Quite a comprehensive legal agreement. Beautiful sunny day. Boat performed well. 6 happy hours on the water.

I have never in my life dealt with a place that is so rude and unprofessional. There are so many places to store a boat, do not use ROCKVAM. We bought a boat that was stored at Rockvam, I called to find out what the procedure was and spoke to the rudest woman ever, SHE HUNG UP ON ME TWICE AND DEMANDED 100 DOLLARS LIKE 20 TIMES IN OUR CONVERSATION! We own the boat and have the title, they said the contract was not with us and we owe them 100 cash to change the name and have us pick it up. They said bring the title and cash and we could pick our boat with a 2 day notice. So today I called to have a Saturday pickup (they do not do Saturday pickups), they said they only had one time next week if not it could go into May and I would have to pay 49.99 as they have no appts. to get boat out. They also said I needed a letter stating we bought the boat, even though they were called by owner and we have title. When I spoke with owner of Rockvam today, he said he would hold my boat ransom until June, or I might never get my boat! This is how this place operates. What a joke! DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!

I have been a customer of Rockvam Boat Yards for a very long time. They not only store my 3 boats over the winter but very professionaly perform the needed maintenance as required. No problem is to great to solve. I own a 1974 Chris Craft that is a challenge at times to keep running. This craft has been in the family since new and we look at it as a family heirloom. The staff, including maintenance, office personnel, dock boys/girls always have smiles on their faces and eager to please. They treat your possessions as if they own them. I will continue to use RBY exclusively for as long as I own the craft.

This place is a joke. Nickel and Dime you for everything. Metro Lakes is much better.

Roxane is rude. Employees are fine but it always feels like good old Jerry is trying to squeeze every penny out of me.
