Really fun time, good sake, loved the whole experience!

The Boiling Crab revolution has taken over, but I'd have to say that Rockin' Crawfish is better. Rockin' Crawfish has a much better broth/sauce (Rockin' Combo) that isn't overly-garlicky like Boiling Crab and the crawfish is much fresher. I've gone to Rockin' Crawfish over 15 times in the last few years (including the Oakland location), and although it has it's rare bad days, it's pretty consistently delivered. I went yesterday and the crawfish was the freshest it's ever been (and they had roe!!).

The waitresses are friendly, there's TVs, and the food is excellent. I love their fried catfish (fish 'n chips), buffalo wings, and fried oysters as well.

Hands down the best crawfish boil restaurant in SF (or at least much better than Red Crawfish, Craw Station, and Swamp).

The appetizers feeds at least 3 people it feels like, you get a lot.
I had the noodles with shrimp and it was delicious.

Overall this is definitely worth a try

That Finger Licking Flavor is just not there. I have gotten the Rocking Flavors which is all Flavors mixed together in Mild at other places like The Boiling Crab which they call it The Whole Shabang which is pretty tasty. This place could be at that level but they are missing a flavor. The sauce is also too watery.....needs more garlic and that Cajun that will stick on to the food not just take a butter bath. Had high hopes but was left disappointed. One thing I did like was they gave the option of Headless Shrimp or with Head for those that get scared to even touch the shrimp with Head. Will be on the watch out to see if they make the sauce tastier and thicker

Our service was ok, but the food was not good at all. Really don't understand why it stays so packed. Mussels were super tough and flavorless, I had one crab leg and gave the rest to my friend to take home for his mom, the flavor was just not good at all. I didn't eat all day so I could enjoy a seafood dinner, but ended up extremely disappointed.

I used the phone to order some food. They told me pick up 30 minutes later and when I got back home the food was all cold.

On a beautiful sunny Sunday we ate some wonderful seafood by the lake. It was wonderfully seasoned !!! Stop in and find your new favorite... you'll thank me later

Never met a restaurant that serves shrimp with its legs, shell and gut still attached. That s unsanitary. Clearly it had not been properly cleansed and gutted.

The atmosphere was all that.the shrimp and waffles fries were delish!

Great crawfish in a very relaxed atmosphere. My only beef is that when ordering a pitcher they give you plastic cups. I'm not in c9llege anymore.

They are so freaking inconvinient because,i was in line for 20minutes ,and was told i was going to be helped. Once i heard a employee to take me in the list & be last customer to reservered a table for 2 i was so happy because it was my husbands birthday & he wanted seafood. Ever since it was a wait of she said it was fine n last minute to call and cancel after a 1hr wait in the parking lot i was so dissapointed in. Them.

. I was exicted thay i was taken in for a 1hr reservation.

This graffiti-adorned, hole in the wall serves amazing shellfish! Had a dinner here with three colleagues and we ate very well from crawfish, to Dungeness crab, to king crab, and beyond. Don t fill yourself up on appetizers because the main courses are substantial in size and very savory. You can set your own type and heat level for your shellfish. Two blocks from Lake Merritt and worth a visit!

I'm a big fan if the rockin. I disliked my last order was messed up! Last week I ordered two gumbo's. and a king crab to go. Well I asked for my rice to be separate it was not. They made the mistake of putting my rice inside,which would not have been as bad, if they did not put 2orders of rice in one gumbo, and one order of rice in the order ruining one of the orders. One was 88% rice. From now on we will say no rice.. #makeourown

Awesomeness straight up I love the shrimp and dungeness crab legs

Food is food, wait was too long 90 mins.
Gumbo too spicy, fish and chips good

The best Seaford in the Bay next to Hang ten broiler. The drinks on point get the king crab legs in the mild rocking sauce. Get there early on Friday

The service was amazing and the environment was cool not to mention the food was A1

Market price on the snow crab is pretty good and the crab was nice!

Service is great, food is luke warm, as Ive been here several times before, maybe is lost it je ne sais qua, but i think my run of returning here has made its finally. Maybe the allure is gone, or hopefully they can add some new flavors to the menu

i asked for garlic butter and they gave me a red sauce that tastes like tomato sauce.their king crab tastes really fishy.

After 8 hours of driving, we arrived in Oakland. I had googled best seafood spots in Oakland and Rockin Crawfish was on several lists. We decided to try it. It was about 9pm and they were busy. Rather than waiting for a table we ate at the bar. I ordered the Crawfish and my friend had the fried zucchini and the fish and chips. We started with the delicious oysters on the half shell. It was just plain YUMMY. The place has grit and personality and the staff is awesome. We will be back the next time we are in town.

I had a bad experience we're Rockin Crawfish. I ordered the shrimp with sausage and potatoes. The shrimp was not done.

Today I went to this restaurant for the first time to celebrate my birthday and I loved the food.

Total bang for your buck!! The prices are reasonable and the portions are plentiful! Plus they have a great deal on oysters every Tuesday and Wednesday! Can't beat $1 oysters

I really like this spot for an affordable seafood meal. The crawfish are great but they only have them durring peak season for quality assurance. My favorite is the king crab with garlic butter and potatos. Don't forget to order waffle cut fries.

Best seafood place I've ever been to. Amazing atmosphere, awesome menu, and the food was bar none the best I have had. Definitely go!

Good food, pretty fair market prices. I enjoyed the crawfish and the shrimp. I would pass on the crab if I ever go back because the flavor really wasn't all that to me. However, a lb of crab was a TON of crab, but at almost $40 a pound for dungeness, eh I'll definitely pass.

I've never had crawfish before going here but this place is amazing. They give you options on how spicy and what flavors to put in. I would just go with the rocking combo cause it's a mix of all the flavors and go with spicy.
