Great clinic and excellent doctors! However, the receptionists are not always professional. They can promise to call you back shortly but forget to do it for a couple of days. I believe patient's concerns and inquiries must be addressed with care and attention.

Waiting times are very long... staff is friendly and good doctors.but even with an appointment can take you more than 45 min to an hour.

There is no point in making an appointment here because they will still make you wait two hours to be seen. I've had way better service at any other walk in clinic.
I love the medical centre and Dr. Melnik. She helped me sooo much with arranging cancer care at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre and supported me with understanding and kindness. An excellent physician!

I was here to meet Dr Shields once. First of all, regardless of emergency or not, when you call the reception they put you on hold. Once or twice is ok, but always putting on hold...noway. Actually the new
receptionist is very rude and not sure how she got the job here. Now coming to the Dr Shields, he has no idea what he is talking about & he is asking me to pay for my blood test from my pocket. Why should i pay from my pocket if am in Canada and i have full health insurance from my employer? I was very disappointed that Dr Thoma hired people like shields. He is a young kid from Medical college and his attitude is horrible. They should stop hiring these cocky docs and hire nice friendly doctors in this clinic.

I am really pleased with the care Dr. Manning gives my family, but the front staff are terrible, when you first call they answer and ramble something I m unable to understand and put you on hold without even being able to say anything. Then they are NEVER clear on the clinics resources and never called me back to confirm. they wouldn t tell me that I could see another doctor as a walk in and didn t tell me the proper hours, everything was so unclear and his happens every time I call, they seemed annoyed and are very rude with me.
It's a good clinic. Wait times can be a bit long if you don't have an appointment but the doctors are pretty good. Front desk staff is nice although their level of english could be better to avoid misunderstandings (which have happened).

The receptionists leave messages on my phone when returning my calls that consist of keyboard button presses and then hang up. If you miss a return phone call because you're busy/working, there is no follow up. Will be switching family doctors immediately.
I did like this place at first but not anymore they are unprofessional and don t care about their patients and their time, regardless whether you have an appointment or walk in you will still wait for an hour or more, this is ridiculous and yet you don t get a sincere apology.

Always make appointments on a weekday at 8-9am. Never have to wait more than 5-10 min before seeing my doctor. Much better than the clinic near sobeys.
This physician is not accountable, and not centered on patient well being practices unethically.
Is rude to patients and sets her own staff up to fail by telling them to book 10minute appointments while consistently running over an hour behind schedule (rather than proactively schedule breaks into her schedule to allow for catch up time). Typical fee for service where she wants to cram in as many patients as possible into a day; making patients wait over an hour to see her without sincere apology.
She is unprofessional, uses appointment time to complain about other practitioners to patients and doesn't accept responsibility for her own care of patients. Doesn't see her own knowledge gaps, and risks patient well being over her own ego.
Staff try their best to be helpful yet are uneducated/little training, rushed, English second language and kept so busy they try their best (miss follow-up calls, etc.). The staff likely get minimal or do not get any professional development given the professional ethic (lack thereof) which Dr.Toma practices.
Would not risk your health here or waste your time here.
I have gone to this clinic since it opened. There are times the wait is long, but one has to recall the times they have taken a long time with the Dr. And take that into account. I find all the Dr's in the clinic to be knowledgeable and professional. The reception staff are great
Every time I come here I have an appointment and still end up waiting over 1 hr at first waiting area then the put me to the 2nd waiting area for another hour then the doctor shows up just to spend 2 min with me
Refused treatment because they were busy. Told them ok to wait but still turned away. Not much of a walkin clinic.

Doctor Arina Melnik is very knowledgeable, attentive and patient. Solved all my issues right away, and always explains things clearly. Would recommend her any time.
Waiting time is crazy. Dr. Toma is nice, but it is very hard to book an appointment with her. Even you go for an appointment, it takes 1 or 2 hours before you can even be called in the room.
Waited 2.5 hours for a walk in and the doctor refused to treat me.
Website lists their availability, and states that it's subject to change depending on the physicians availability without notice. Arrived Saturday, only to find the place closed without a notice on the door or anything (please see attached picture). This clinic is basically open whenever they are in the mood for it.
Place is poorly ran, and managed. They have no respect for your time, look for a place that will respect your time and medical condition equally.
its a very cramped space. We had an appointment but Dr Toma kept us waiting for 2 HOURS. This very unprofessional, the staff could have told us before we sat here waiting.
DR. Melnik incompetent doctor. Lack of knowledge. I had ear infection, also pain in ear. He told me I'm perfectly fine it's only virus...bla,bla bla. I went to another doctor, he immediately figure out infection in ear and gave me antibiotics. I was fine in 10 days. (Russian doctor)
Unfortunately I received very poor service there and that happened to me more than one time. I think they don't treat their patients with respect. Yesterday I had an appointment for the second time with doctor Toma, for my baby and arrived there on time . I waited there for one hour and half but was not able to see the doctor and had to leave as my baby become hungry and impatient.
I believe incidents like this are very much avoidable, if the doctor and staff consider a bit of respect for their patients.

The clinic management should do something about the long waiting time over the phone. Every time i call in, the admin puts me on hold for not less that 15 minuets. This is very strange and long waiting time. I hope you could do something about.
Doctors are below average. Front staff are extremely rude and unaccommodating. They need to be replaced immediately for this clinic to improve.
I have waited over an hour to be called in when I had an appointment at a set time. I came with 2 other ladies and we all checked in to see Dr. Toma at 11:30am. They triple booked me. They literally booked the same doctor with 3 different patients at the same time. I asked the front agent to rebook me and leave a note that I came and left. I still got a call the next day asking me why I didn't show up to my appointment. Unprofessional and slow.
My family and I have been seeing Dr. Toma since 2015 and we are so happy that she is our family doctor. She is loving and caring. She does so much. We are very thankful, wish we could met her earlier. All the staff that are working in the front are extremely helpful and kind, treating us just like their own family members. I would say this clinic reached 100% of my satisfaction, and I am highly recommending this clinic to everyone.
Although, I knew doctors in this clinic are not working for google rating and google reviews, but I still want to say that I have noticed some people are leaving unfair comments because of some customer service issue. It might be easy for you to write a post about some phone experience, but this is NOT FAIR for a doctor, nor their clinic, who are capable to do a lot more than phone exp. Others are going to use your comment to determine whether the doctor is qualified to treat them. That is a much bigger responsibility than helping someone to decide whether a restaurant is a hit or miss.
Guys, do you know, the doctors are so busy seeing and helping their patients that they don't even have time to have a proper lunch, and that is why I sometime see they are chewing a bit of food in between their patient. They work so hard by providing help to our health, making sure we are ok and skipping their lunch. I can go on with more examples, but I think I made my point.

Was a walk in at 1:00 pm, I was asked if I was okay with the hour wait time, which was about an hour, I said yes as long as I was out by 3;00pm as I had other commitments. I waited 2 hours. All meanwhile other walk ins - with children- got in before me? What happened to first come first serve? Keeping in mind I tried to make an appointment over the phone, and I was told that it would be quicker to be a walk in for a simple prescription refill.
The Front Staff seemed nice, and were professional. I never did get in to see a Doctor. I came as a walk in Patient. People with booked appointments come first. I agree that they should!! I was happy to wait. However, I dont think this clinic should advertise itself as accepting walk ins. They are not set up for it. A wait time of half a day is really not acceptable. They should just take appointments only. There are many clinics that will accept walk in's in under 2 hours. I ended up leaving, and found a place close by that could fit me in.
This rating is for the reception staff only. Have been trying to get through for a week and every time they answer I m put on hold for 3-5 minutes before I hang up. Hire more staff or have a better online system that actually works to make or cancel appointments. If I can t get a hold of you to tell you I need to reschedule, looks like I just won t be showing up.
After seeing all the other reviews about the front staff, why haven t they been replaced by now?
First Id like to say that we LOVE Dr Melnik. Shes great and always helpful and personable. The one star is for their awful front end staff... no matter what they are always putting you on hold and ive been called several times to book to see Dr Melnik for a follow up that she didnt request and didnt need ( very frustrating when we live in Cochrane) They dont seem to communicate well. I was referred while pregnant and they INSISTED that she needed to see me and when i got there she was confused as to why i was there when i was being seen by an OBGYN... I wish they would fix this issue as its been since the clinic opened.
The rating is for the walking clinic. They let us wait 2 hours just to tell us that they can't accept us since they are over booked and they close at 1pm on Saturday.
