I had my wedding reception here and it was amazing and my guests still talk about it 4 years later. The coordinators and staff were very accommodating to a Korean tea ceremony that I wanted to include at the beginning of the reception. I had a "full house" of 250 guests and everything went smoothly. There were two dinner lines and bars (upstairs and downstairs) and the complimentary valet service was quick and very efficient with no waiting ever. All the low lit lights and abundant candles made the entire place look so romantic. I cant get over how easy they made planning the reception, and it had everything to do with Lisa and Deborah at Rockefeller Hall.
Lisa also did all of my wedding flowers and those turned out beautiful.

Rockefeller Hall is a special place because I had my wedding there in the Norma Zenteno band played...and Norma sang...this was in 2012.... so this past Friday they had a zenteno spirit playing to raise money for a statue of Norma Zenteno..
An absolutely amazing houstonian that lost her life to cancer and has left a lot of sadness behind absolutely amazing Spirit wonderful person, friend , mother, sister... I pray that they do raise enough and I know that she is dearly missed and definitely one person that really deserves it

Beautiful historic small venue which hosts small concerts. Small parking area but staff help you find a spot and parking was free. There is no kitchen so eat before you go. (There is a big pizza place next door.) Staff at door were exceptionally nice. Clean bathroom. (Great vibe in this place - a friend said he saw Stevie Ray Vaughan play there many, many years ago.) We went to see some 80's tribute bands (Radio Duran and Lectric Eye) and had a great time!

Well it's about time ! I had WAR on my talk show back in the day then went to see them in person. As PD for KPFT FM 90.1 the S.A. based band The Krayolas played a benefit there for the station. I did a wimp butt intro but the band blew it out.
Sent Stevie Ray back to KPFT on what we used to call the "Marties". Microwave signal relays that plugged right into the mixer up on the second floor. Because the sight line ran "downhill" to Montrose the pickups up on the short tower at the station got a great stereo mix. Very cool.

Rockefellers nights baby!

A tiny glass of wine was 13 bucks as was a regular can of bud light. No out door area or smoking area. Staff was not friendly. Really neat old place however and I hope with time they find a better balance between making a profit and having reasonably priced drinks.

Venue has a mature vibe, nice and clean. Solid bar and bartenders, friendly staff. All drinks, no food, but handy menus are there for Star Pizza next door. Parking guys are excellent and helpful. Free parking, should tip the dudes, though. They don't ask; just my opinion.

I've been here twice to see some bands place. I love this venue. I also like that you can go upstairs and overlook the who ever is performing on the stage. The staff is very friendly. I must warn, there is a regular who comes here, he's quite entertaining.

Great band! Live that you can see the band well from any area of the venue. Downstairs and upstairs bars. All bathrooms are downstairs- long night with high heels can be bummer with hiking up and down.

Many years ago I visited this place and back in the day it was a cool spot to see a concert. Went back to see a concert and sorry to say the place has lost its true roots, which made its name.

Love the newly revamped Rockefeller Hall! I wasn't around for the original set up but knew the fame it had back in its hay day. So happy we can enjoy this venue for great music and awesome sound again!

Rockefellers is a converted bank that was for several years one of the more personal music venues in town. Several years ago they stopped being a public venue, concentrating on private functions. Their return to presenting public events is welcome. This is an intimate space, meaning quite small. My most recent visit was for a comedy function. The staff was friendly, the drinks were strong, and I had fun. I look forward to seeing who else they book.

i really enjoyed the intimacy between everyone, the venue is a little smaller than others but it brought everyone closer together and people were packed. some might not like how much contact they're making with others, but there is plenty of breathing space if you go upstairs while still getting a good view of the stage.

Went to Sugar Shack a few weeks ago. The venue still has that old feel to it but, for some reason the lights were kept on during the entire show which to me is very off putting. Drink prices are about average and at least they have an overflow parking lot now. Definitely needs some improvement.

Around about 1982 or 83, I traveled a lot through Rockefellers. Happy to report that I have survived this era, as I was employed, embedded deeply in the entertainment industry... Touring Levels. ROCKEFELLERS was our home for relaxation, when home, in Houston Texas. Relaxing it was, Friday night, catching LUPE OLIVAREZ and Friends Live @ Rockefellers. Ambience was the same quality as I remember! Drinks were liquor of quality, fewer table tops which was nice. Felt like I was visiting with old friends. Downstairs, upstairs, backstage... It's pretty much the same as the 80 days, which is good. Now feeling at home again, in a new era, for sure! Excellent evening at ROCKEFELLERS with the showmanship of Lupe Olivarez!

We were there for a private event. Great crowd, so we had a blast. The venue was excellent for an event that included a live band. But the loss of 2 stars is due to the layout. The event included food served buffet-style. They had to split the buffet into two rooms upstairs, and the area in which to eat the food was dedicated to the balcony area, which lacked of space and only had tiny tables to dine at (they are cocktail tables, so two dinner plates didn't really even fit on one...granted, that size table makes sense for an event with only drinks and hors d'oeuvres, but for this event much larger tables were warranted).

Originally a bank in the 1920. s. Now lobby a seating and stage. The vault backstage and dressing rooms.
It closed as a venue in 1997 to be a wedding and private events hall and started hosting concerts again in. 2016
venue is great good acoustics. Full bar and intimate experience only a small venue can provide. The staff is great the drinks are strong.

Really nice venue, small place though. I can imagine only a small band playing or a small party being held. It has an upstairs and downstairs, parking was a little far away for it, just across the street.

Rockefeller Hall is a high class, top notch, creative, timely, genuine, as well as trusting business and venue whom provides superior service. You will not be disappointed if you select Rockefeller for your event.

I am so lucky to say I was married there - and I am so incredibly happy this was the venue we chose to celebrate our special occasion in.

Also, there is so much to take in when you step into the building - "if the walls could talk" - the history is amazing.

Thank you!!! - Kristyn & Morgan

No restroom for the upstairs balcony area, but they charge more. Bar upstairs is ok for beer but not mixed drinks. Bartender was horrible, can't mix a simple drinks. Overall a smaller venue great place to catch a show. Parking is very limited get there early to get a spot otherwise you'll have walk a couple of blocks.
