Billing Department -- Have been trying to call for...

Billing Department -- Have been trying to call for a week for a bill that is NOT EVEN MINE, and the mailbox is full on every number -- no one ever answers. Even the EMAIL box is full. Doctors office will NOT FIX THIS BILLING ISSUE. HOW CAN YOU DO BUSINESS LIKE THIS -- you convinced all of these doctors of the benefits of joining your enterprise, yet you have alienated patients with HORRIBLE customer service.

Horrible experience with billing issues. They did not submit claims to insurance and billed me directly. They do not answer their phone or call back if you leave a voicemail. Sometimes the voicemail is full, and you cannot even leave a message. There is no email listed on the bill to contact other than for a third-party service that could process your payment. The one call back that I did get, I told the representative that they needed to follow up with my insurance, but there is no record with my insurance company that they did so. My insurance says there is nothing they can do or that I can do until RWJ follows up with them. Now it has been two weeks since I have been able to get in contact with RWJ and the bill is due tomorrow!!!!

DO NOT USE FOR COVID TESTING!!!Talk about the billing experience.. not only are they not forthcoming about the actual doctor visit fee, they then send additional invoices that were never disclosed. I've called the office in Hillsborough, which is where I went, and left 4 messages to discuss my $393 Covid test that was supposed to be $125, and of course nobody calls you back. AWFUL Customer Service.

This review is only for the billing department. They deserve a zero for always charging me the copay which I have already paid on day of my visit, but they send me a bill and then I spend 2 to 3 weeks calling EVERYDAY at least 3 times a day and NOBODY answers and they tell you to leave a message for someone to call you back, but they NEVER do. You have to keep trying until you get someone on the phone and they just tell you "ok we'll fix that, you shouldn't have received that" but then it happens again after my next visit. What a waste of resources, time, paper. Etc...so aggravating!!!

Billing department is in trouble. And I mean my next call (after trying to get ahold of them for several months) will be to the NJ Department of Consumer Affairs and possibly the news media. Their mailbox is either FULL, or I get disconnected, or I leave message after message with no return calls from them. I actually called their corporate office and got someone on the phone! She acknowledged RWJ Physician Enterprise IS having a big problem with their billing staff. She took my complaint and promised to email them to have them call me. Nice lady, but, I'm not holding my breath on any action. I'll find the regulatory agency that I can complain to. And I told them better read their Google Reviews. It ain't pretty.

Looking at all the review about their billing prac...

Looking at all the review about their billing practice, it appears that RWJ Enterprises is a fraudulent enterprise. They cashed a check I sent them and then billed us again! So I sent them their bill back and the copy of the cashed check (both front and back). Looks like they are a devious and deceptive practice at best. Insurance commission should look into them!

Unfortunately, I have the EXACT same problem as everyone else here!! We received a HUGE bill soon after a specialist's visit. They didn't even bother filing a claim through our medical insurance. The billing dept. is THE WORSE THING TO EVER EXIST. It's crazy how they are able to continue operating the way they do. Any patient who wants to see a Robert Wood Johnson doctor/facility who uses this billing dept should think twice before proceeding (but you won't know that until it's too late...lol.. sad isn't it?). You will be living a total nightmare trying to fix your billing issue- weeks/months of frustration, depression, and anxiety. You will leave lots of messages and encounter full mailboxes other times. Good luck getting through or having someone call you back!! There should be legal consequences for the things they do.
