Stay away ...This company is a scam! They raised our rates after my husband received his first speeding ticket in 15 years. They said it would go back down, but it has not. The rates continue to soar and we hadn't filed a claim in the 7 years with them. That should have been our sign.

Last week, as we were traveling down the highway pulling our RV, we lost a piece of fiberglass siding. They not only refused to pay the claim, but stated it was our own fault because we didn't maintain our camper, which wasn't true! I'm trying to find a new ethical and dependable insurance company. Just a little too late!

I don't recommend this company to anyone. We've been dealing with this company for workman's comp. Checks don't come on time. He told my husband to get a job, he can no longer work because of what happened at work. He tried. Too much pain. We've been trying to settle and it's excuse after excuse on why we haven't heard from lawyers etc. Very rude, they don't seem to care etc.

Horrible my rates were higher than anywhere else. Was canceled with no notice or reason. I would not recommend to anyone. No problems at all with new insurance company i have. Please dont waste your time and money with these people.

Please don't waste your money on this company, would not pay for my roof after damage by hail and wind storm from last year, didnt want to meet my roofer because they said would only want to argue with them even though this is a standard practice by all other insurance company's and I requested another person meet my contractor they refused, this is also standard practice. If they want to send someone by the name of Blanchard request to have have someone else, or maybe they are all like him. VERY rude and had a different story each time I talked to him. Close to 40% of my neighbors have had or are currently getting roofs replaced by insurance Companies without any problems all houses were build about same time by the same builder. When I told his manager this he still refused to even consider to send someone out and said he saw pictures, even though Ben Blachard from Iowa Mutual did not do any chalk tracings, they were later done but my contracter. They are trying to get out of paying by saying the shingles were faulty and or they were I stalled improperly....NOT TRUE
Poor way to conduct business in my opinion!!!!

I have heard of companies like this just never believed....
Only their employees have given them a good rating, I wonder how much they get paid to reject paying on claims made by hardworking homeowners that pay their premiums not realizing they will not pay

Beats any price around by far. Homeowners policy even covers liability on my pontoon boat. BEEN WITH THEM FOR 15 YEARS

Don t waste your money. They will find any reason not to pay for anything. We share a roof with our neighbor, we are in a Town home and our neighbor received full pay out for a damaged roof and Iowa Mutual adjuster claimed we had no damage. Now our association has to decide what to do. We aren t going to pay for a new roof out of pocket. That s why you have insurance. In 2016 we had a claim that they refused to fulfill the replacement of what was damaged. In 47 years we had these 2 claims and 1 in the early nineties that was fully covered by another company. We have cancelled our Insurance with Iowa Mutual.

They don t waste time doing anything with their insured other then take their money. Insurance is meant to help people, and the last thing they care about is people.
