We missed our wine tour got stuck on traffic at SFO, the manager at least refunded us with the tour fee and tasting, suggested to stop by and try wine tasting instead if we can make it before 5 which we did. The place was luxurious spacious and staff was friendly and informative. Got couple of whites wines for $5 each and a set of staff favorites 4 different wines for$35. We loved the wines and the perfect seating view! We ended up purchasing 3 bottles definitely a decent and affordable wine tasting and tour around Napa valley!

The staff were unwelcoming, rude and snobby. Our 4 tasters were arranged on a information placemat and because we wanted to sit outside we were told to push the glasses together and carry them outside on the placemat. We were not provided any information about the wines or the winery from staff. We were left to read the placemat and sit outside where we were made to feel rushed to hurry up and leave. The grounds are lovely and provide many photo opportunities. Overall, not worth the hype, save your money and go somewhere else for a more personal touch.

Super impersonal experience. You will sit down for a tasting and they will read off the descriptions of each wine in a monotone robotic manner as they place the glasses on a laminated mat. You will then be left to ponder the mysteries of the universe as you stare out upon the vast rows of grapes unattended. You will sense the general disinterest from the staff. It definitely shows. There are WAY better, more personal options in Napa. Don t waste your time unless you re ok with mediocre.

Disappointing. Of all the wineries we visited in Napa and Sonoma, this was the least friendly and least hospitable. Both the front desk team and the tasting team were uninterested and not particularly friendly or helpful. This was despite them being very quiet at the time of our visit. Even though we splashed out on the To Kalon reserve tasting, their VIP team were equally uninterested. The noise of someone being sick in the ladies toilets from too much wine really set off the VIP experience. This was our least favourite visit in both Napa and Sonoma, despite being the most expensive. The facilities are also a bit tired, though the view is nice and the wine good. Go to Stag s Leap Wine Cellars or Inglenook instead. Mondavi is better suited to bus tours.

Great scenery and they have a great summer concert series with big name artists coming like Five for Fighting and American Authors! They just celebrated the 50th anniversary of the winery with 4th of July fireworks and everything!

One of the bigger places for wine tasting. The only big one we tried for wine tasting. Still personal touch and great selection of wines paired with knowledgeable staff. Taste room very nice with great views!

Robert Mondavi is one of my favorite wines. I had the opportunity to visit the Winery, and became a club member. I can get great Mondavi wines much cheaper directly. The grounds are pristen and they do a good job on the tour talking about how they make wines and how different regions and soils change tastes. If you start early enough in the morning you can leave San Francisco, drive through Napa and see a few fantastic winneries. Then continue up the road to Highway 101 and double back towards Santa. Just before the Golden Gate Bridge you can exit East Blithedale Ave and make your way to Mir Wood to see the Giant Redwoods. Made for a great day trip from SF.

It is a very nice space. Please enjoy the time of a friend, a lover, a couple while drinking wine slowly in this place by all means. You can stay for hours.
You can try 4 kinds of wine with $ 25, but the good point here is that the amount of wine pouring will pour a certain amount. In addition, it always prepares one glass per wine. Also we do not have wineglasses with super high class but we are offering in 1 glasses wine glasses in thousands of yen class. We also went to other wineries, but even if we could try 5 kinds of wine with $ 25 we had very little amount and it was content to be poured into the same glass.
If you really want to enjoy wine, wineries here are recommended. I am a type that is familiar to wine but I think that the taste is different not only for wine but also for drinks and meals. This place is definitely more positive than the actual taste and gives the taste of the environment.
There is also a souvenir shop. Because closing time is early, please be careful in time.

A wonderful example of the best on offer in the unique wine belt of Napa Valley, with it's prize winning wines, and incomparable architectural structures. A truly great and memorable wine tasting experience.

If you know nothing about wine it s a good tour. If you are looking for real world class wines go elsewhere. Group members knew nothing about wine. All tourists. Over half from outside the US who were going because it s in the tour book. Mass produced tour. Guide didn t know lots of things. Wines offered on tour were worse than their Trader Joe s offerings but twice the price. I mean come on! They have prime acres in the center of oakville. It s so difficult to believe that Harlan wanted to like Mondavi. Times change. Again if you don t know anything about wine you will be happy but for an experienced wine taster it s not Napa. It s Disney.

Visited the Mondavi estate some years ago. A truly memorable experience. The signature tour is really informative. An emblem of California and the Napa Valley.
I will go see the Opus One facility on my next visit and attend an art collection tour.

This Cabernet Sauvignon wine tasted great. $ 175, but it seems to be a worthy wine. It was a very pleasant climate and the tasting was the best outside. The $ 175 Cabernet Sauvignon wine is available at the reserve wine tasting on the far right.

We had a great visit and tour. As expected, the wines we taste were superb and our tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. My purse was left a few dollars short by the end of everything, but I got some great wines that I will enjoy at many special occasions in the near and distant future.

HORRIBLE experience! We went here for wine tasting and at first it seemed wonderful with the nice scenery... only for it to go downhill. Staff were only friendly once we gave them money to try the wines - after they turned rude when we asked about the winery or other wines to try. We decided to go walk around to give the benefit of the doubt and explore a new part of the vineyard. We got to the gift shop and once we enter the pipes burst over our head and ruin everything and it got into my mouth as well. The staff ensured me I was fine even though I felt ill. They got my name and phone number to "follow up" but they never have.... this happened June of 2018. Will never return and reccomend no one go here! Staff is sub par.

We had a 1:45 reservation and got in at 1:40. It took over 20 minutes to get seated and another 20 to get our wines. The waiter was nice, just felt very rushed because they have accepted more reservations than they can handle. If you are looking for an intimate tasting where your waiter has the opportunity to explain and go into detail about the wines this is not the place. They knew that they had more reservations than they can handle because I overhead a worker telling a waiter that if people have been seated for an hour to begin pushing them out. The wine was okay. I was expecting better based on my research. The best part of this place are the views. Great location and beautiful grounds. I just wish service matched. If you do visit make this your first visit since service isn't great when busy. It is a touristy place, there are better locations in the area

I agree with some of the other reviewers regarding customer service/overall experience. The lady at the cash register is straight up RUDE. The type of rude you only put up with at small hole in the wall type restaurants where the food is delicious so you put up with the abuse. She had a condescending tone, no smile no nothing, not helpful at all, so her snarkiness isn t even coming from a knowledgeable place, it s like honey come one, you re a cashier, chill, you ain t the pope. Wouldn t come back if I have to run into her at the bar. Mike who brought out our flights was cool, friendly and engaging, the other lady could use some tips on how to treat PEOPLE. My visit was today 12/14/19

The grounds are stunning. The landscape you see before your eyes is the same one you know from the label on Robert Mondavi wines.
The volume of the barrels is impressive, as is the harmonious feeling of sunshine and a light breeze in the tranquil Napa Valley air. Get some friends together, and hire a driver to tour responsibly. You will feel like you are in a wine commercial.

Awful tour.... one hour and 20 minutes later and we have not even tasted the wine... we have visited multiple wineries and this is the only we one disliked. The tour guide was horrible... knowledgeable, but with no public speaking abilities.
People come here for the wine and the history... we missed the wine!!!!

Wasted 25$ and 30 minutes of my life for their discovery tour. The guide was totally unprepared (she even looked drunk at times!) and did not teach us anything interesting about the vineyards and their history. It just looked like a promotional tour for their shop.

Go to the Jacuzzi winery instead!

Relaxing atmosphere & gorgeous views. My boyfriend & I took the wine & cheese pairing tour, the tour guide was so comical & very knowledgeable! She explained to us how to properly taste the wine & how to taste the cheeses with the different wines. It was so educational, & worth every penny! Cannot wait to visit this lovely place again!
