We went for a celebration dinner! I got the onion soup and it was to die for. My hubby got the steak tartare and was amazed by its delicious flavor. We both got the steak with duck fat fries and will certainly be going back. Not only was the food phenomenal but the service was very attentive and the atmosphere was warm. Yes it is expensive but you are definitely getting what you pay for. If money is a factor try the happy hour.

Had the opportunity to try RN74 during restaurant week and left impressed. The atmosphere is cool. Like all the dark wood and the clacker board with the "about to be gone" bottles of wine.

As for the food, we really loved the deviled eggs and the beignets. The mains were nice, but lacked a ton of flavor. Duck fat fries were good too. I'd skip the foie gras beignet. It's good, but not worth the price.

The complimentary butter bread with pepper honey in the beginning.... we were sold at that itself. The food is extremely delicious. I had the mushroom risotto and the roasted chicken. The hand a house made Syrah red wine was too good, for wine lovers I will definitely recommend.

C'est magnifique!! A modern twist on French cuisine, with an extensive wine book! I write book because it was like 25 pages! The escargot was fabulous, as well as the salmon I ordered. I tried their duck which was also good! Definitely check this restaurant out!

Excellent food of course, very friendly staff, great experience. Particularly impressive wine selection and sommelier pairings.

It's a cozy, familial atmosphere which doesn't really justify the cover price, in my opinion, but excellent nonetheless. However, the main immersion breaker for this French restaurant is the French! A menu with many basic French grammar mistakes: sizes for seafood 'plateau' being petite and grande, plateau is masculine, either petit or grand! The toilets are all labeled with 'le toilette' (!) Toilette is feminine! It's la toilette, or even better les toilettes as they are referred to in France!

The toilets by the way are excellent individual fully closed little rooms, exactly like in France :)

If you are looking for a laid back upscale experience then RN74 is for you. We had a large group, our servers were awesome. The food and drinks are great as well, the duck fat fries are the best and the old fashion I had was very good . I recommend the flank steak and the bouillabaisse for dinner. Stop in here when you get time, it's a guaranteed win

Our "food and wine" walking tour guide was not impressed with this restaurant. But she only was there for snacks, so we went ahead. I've never seen such a wine list! We were so impressed we thought what the heck, order the wine/food tasting menu. The server was knowledgeable and the somm was extremely knowledgeable and generous. Each course was awsome (a word that I hate to use -- it is now such a cliche -- but we were full of awe). Creative but not dumb -- creative just to be weird? Not here. Stuff worked! Second only to Heldsburg, Sonoma, CA restaurant Cyrus from a meal in 2008.

Visited with co-workers. It was soooo loud I wanted to bolt about 10 minutes into the meal. We had a set menu which was very tasty, though delivered pretty slowly - getting 20+ plates out at a similar time is hard!

Came here for a work dinner, they were able to accommodate a large group of 12 on short notice. Food was vibrant and delicious, and service was excellent. All around a great restaurant that's worth frequenting.

The food was serviceable. Thought I had a terrible MSG reaction to some cheap salt they use. But nothing can overcome the worst service I have ever had in all my years of eating out in Seattle. Nicole was our server. I was with group of women 65 plus. I was the only male in a party of twelve. Nicole could not have been ruder and it became apparent that she didn t want to serve older women wanting separate checks! Sorry Nicole, that s your job. If you want to have offensive service and mediocre food try rn74. If your an older women and want to feel invisible try rn74. If you want to go to a restaurant where the manager doesn t care go to rn74!

I stopped in for just a drink but had the experience of a life time! I am a Disabled Veteran in a wheelchair and stopped in with my girlfriend for some wine. After 15 minutes, we were served appetizers we did not order. I asked the waiter and he said it was on the house and our tab was open and paid for the evening. I asked who did this and he said it was anonymous. Then more apps. were sent and drinks refilled, complements of the chef. I was wearing my Gulf War Veterans cap and the chef saw it and did this for us. Awesome food but more so the heart of the establishment. Thank You.

I came here for a company dinner. I, however, am a vegan so I was a bit nervous I would not be able to eat anything. However, I simply told the waiter and they communicated to the chef. She came back with a few options the chef would be able to make for me that day. I ended up having the split pea soup, roasted veggies and their signature potatoes.

The food although small in portion size was VERY tasty. No protein ofcourse as it was a steak house that does not cater toward vegans so not filling.

If you are vegan and decide to come here they suggest calling ahead so the chef can prepare in advance.

The most extensive and detailed wine list i've ever seen in my travels with plenty of assistance at any level of wine knowledge to get exactly what you are looking for from 20 to 20000$

The food was delicious, the layout of the front upscale casual and the environment very hospitable. Would be great for a date or special group night unless you are a wino looking for food and something new.

We have passed this restaurant for many months and decided to try it out for V-Day. We got snowed in and had to reschedule our visit. So glad we did! You must try out this amazing RN74! The drinks were perfection and the food was to die for. You have got to eat the bone marrow and try the juicy steak. Of course we didn t leave room for dessert, but now we have a reason to return and tackle the mousse. Must eat here! The ambiance is not too loud and perfect for an intimate date or enjoy a party of friends. #contentawarephotography check out my Instagram.

We returned for appetizers and drinks. Still amazing and delicious.

This is a really great place to eat for dinner. The atmosphere and lighting is amazing. Especially for an intimate dinner or date. The service was also outstanding. The food was pretty good too, but I was expecting a little more. I had the beef tartare, truffle mac and cheese and duck fat fries. The food was tasty, but not excellent. Overall, I recommend this place for the atmosphere and service and personally, I'll order something different next time.

Love this place! Extensive wine list. Nice bar atmosphere. Well thought out, seasonal menu from amuse-bouche to dessert! The duck was done just right, at a touch under medium with fully rendered, crispy skin. Cap off your meal with a nice port or espresso, and you're good to go!

Parking is ok if you map it beforehand. I wish they had valet, but no such luck. There are quite a few garages in the area tho, and streetside parking if you're lucky.

Yet another very good Michael Mina restaurant. My puff pastry escargot was great as was the asparagus with runny egg and scary good morel sauce. Only complaints were somewhat slow service and heavy on salt, but otherwise great food and amazing wine list.

Went for Seattle Restaurant Week. The place was very crowded and the food was slow to come out, but the staff was extremely friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. The food was pretty good, but not good enough to justify such small portions. Overall this feels like it's trying to be a fancy gourmet restaurant but the food wasn't above and beyond.
