If you like great food and an outstanding wine selection, GO HERE. The service is impeccable, I talked with one bartender about Beaujolais for 5 minutes! Jack at the bar was delightful and very knowledgeable. The wine pairings were perfect and the food was wonderful. If I am ever in Seattle again, I will come here!!

I absolutely love going here for drinks! Really cool atmosphere, fun space. Food is on point, though I've only done small plates and never a full dinner. Staff is super friendly and always in a positive mood. Place can get really busy. Only complaint is that they got rid of my favorite specialty cocktail - The Raspy French Gentleman. Bring it back!!

Have heard mixed things about this place but had a great experience. Ordered wine off their "last bottle" list which was a hard to find french bottle and fantastic. Steak was good, duck was great sides were awesome (duck fat fries and mushrooms). Server was great and was offered a free digestif (frenet and citrius creation which was fantastic). Would definitely go back.

I've had many fine dining experiences and was ready for a snooty atmosphere. I was happily surprised by the food, service and the general ambiance! Our waiter was very friendly in addition to being knowledgeable. The food was fantastic and the seating was comfortable. Really enjoyed the experience. One of the best restaurants in the close by area.

A lovely place to have a quick lunch or a dinner. It can be very nice for an after office drink with the colleagues after work or to take your family for a burger. As all with places in US and Seattle I strongly suggest to make a reservation and be prepared to pay a little bit more as Seattle is expensive. Overall great place.

Went there for restaurant week. I liked the rockfish I ordered. I'd give 4 star for the food if not for the disappointing service. The hostess was very nice, but the waiter obviously showed his disdain when two of us didn't order drinks. It was hard to get his attention afterwards. Will not come back based on this experience.

We come here every year on our anniversary and they always give us the 5 star treatment. I recommend the RN74 experience with the wine pairing. the food is delicious and the service is exceptional.

Went for a corporate celebration dinner. Staff is super professional and very attentive. Fine dinning in downtown seattle. So expect the best. Small menu, but diverse and well thought out. I was impressed by the high class cocktails and the selections of wine (by the glass or bottle). It is a mix of cozy lighting and formal seating. Saturday night made for a busy and slightly noisy experience, but that is to be expected. Food was very savory, well flavoured, and cook exactingly. Out of the eight of us no one had a bad remark. I thought the prices were fair for the experience.

The service was incredible!!! Our server went out of his way to make sure we had the best dining experience. I had trouble choosing between two entrees. Before our main courses came he surprised us each with a small plate of the dish I had not chosen, but really wanted made to special order! The food was excellent and the wine was fantastic.

Very nice atmosphere, excellent wine selection. Decent prices and good service. OMG the sliders are amazing. We asked to make a burger like the sliders and the chef made it to order, which was pretty awesome. We had a really good time!!!!

Excellent cocktails plus a few stand out dishes, though a little on the pricey side.

French onion soup, duck fat fries, and steak are regular go tos.

Train decor gives a theme while staying upscale. The departure board of wines is an especially nice touch.

Reservations recommended, but some seating is usually available at the bar.

Two appetizers stood out to me the most - The Escargot and Duck Fat Fries. The Escargot was prepared with a puff pastry which I thought was very interesting, different and paired well with the food. The duck fat fries were yummy as expected and served with a creamy sauce on the side. Escargot and Duck Fat Fries are a must order.

What an amazing dinner!!! My girlfriend and I went there last week and the food was phenomenal. We always try to have an experience when we go out and it was easy to do here. We ended up going with the tasting menu and putting our dinner in the hands of RN74's chef. When it comes to the food, it was a good balance between adventure and flavor. We both tried new things and thoroughly enjoyed everything we had.

The French Onion Soup along with the Fish and Chips were excellent. The wait staff was amazingly helpful at describing the entrees.

However, and this is not a bad thing, my party asked among ourselves how much more hipster can the ambiance be, and on keeping in the tradition of Spinal Tap, the answer is none, none more hipster.

Among the best steak tartare in Seattle. Excellent Happy Hour, friendly staff, solid beverage program. Sorry I didn't take a photo of the tartare, it was a beautiful as it was delicious. The fois gras parfait was also scrumptious as were the HH poached shrimp. Decor is lovely, location/parking can be challenging, but overall worth the effort!!

Happy hour special includes "shot and a beer" and an "herbacious" liqueur. The chips and lamb meatballs are pretty delicious, while others are less so. Kitchen closes around an hour before closing, so plan accordingly.

Ok, I'm struggling with this one. I want to go higher on the review. I really do. I had the French onion soup. It was a but too salty. It was well balanced otherwise... just the right amount of bread and cheese to balance the onions. I also had the mussels. The waitress described them as a large bowl. Maybe large means something different in Seattle? They massacred the mussels with way too much fennel. After picking it all off, I thoroughly enjoyed the rest of the meal. The duck fries were good, but not really traditional frittes. So, all of this being what it is.. I give a solid "meh".

We have been here a couple of times and we're absolutely love it! Great food, great atmosphere; the wait staff is amazing and the wine list is extensive! They also make some great specialty cocktails! Nothing to complain about here. It would be a great place to hang out for hours, but both times we've been on our way to show. They got us in and out in time for our show.

The service was quite poor. We were a party of 8 and arrived at 6:30. The last person did not get their entree until 8pm when the rest of us had been eating for 10 minutes. The food is good but at the price, I have to compare them with other restaurants and they fall short. I would normally not be this critical but we ordered from their fixed menu for larger parties so the range of items that could be ordered was limited to the things they should be able to make in a reasonable amount of time.

A delightful experience beginning to end. The staff members superbly welcomed us and described the menu. The tasting was something to behold - wonderful small portions, rich with flavor, complex, with small bites in between, paired perfectly with a series of memorable wines. Wonderful.

Little disappointed. For one having the bar in the middle of the room makes for a very loud atmosphere and we weren't able to talk at our table for 7. The appatizers were amazing mussels, hush puppies, bread and tuna. The main dishes were a still very good, but not up to par. Maybe my expectations were a little too high. The halibut was nothing super special, but you could tell it was very fresh. The duck sampler was also just decent and the schnitzel was a littler overdone. Definitely still with a visit just a little pricy obviously. Had quite the selection of wine as well.

Had a reservation at 8 p.m. for 4 people. Upon arrival we were told our table is ready, then the hostess came back instead it will be a little bit while other people were being seated around us that did not have a reservation.
Spent way too much money for the New York strip steak that was tough.

RN74 went above and beyond to make our evening special. This was my husband and my first experience here and in Seattle, and we were celebrating our anniversary. We wanted to try the chef's 5-course tasting menu, however this was restaurant week, and they were not offering this. The chef and restaurant, having found out it was our anniversary, and made a special 5-course tasting menu just for us, complete with wine pairings! The food was absolutely amazing and the Sommelier's (Jim), wine pairings were incredible. This was one of the best meals we have ever had, and when we come back to Seattle, we will make sure to come back here. Thank you for such an incredible anniversary RN74!!!

Great service and atomsphere. Even on a busy night where there was a bit of a draft for my partner and they couldn't switch tables, they brought in a heater so that my partner wouldn't be cold.

Great food, I had their pork belly sliders and a hard cider. They were so good. The service was phenomenal and improved my experience beyond food. I would recommend to anyone visiting Seattle to splurge on dinner here. I came back with my fiance the next day and got the burger royale and their dulce de leche cream puffs. SO GOOD.

From the moment you arrive in that restaurant the stuff gives you a great feeling. Very friendly crew, it is a good restaurant to hang out with your friends or with your date. Great cuisine, qualified chief cook and stuff, good price and nice service. Warmly recommended.

Came here looking for drinks as a prefunk to dinner reservations up the street. It was the third place we tried, and while we only had time for one round, service was good and we were able to find a spot for our medium sized group on a large couch in the ye bar area.

It wasn t bad, wasn t great.

It wasn t bad, wasn t great.

The ricotta ravioli wasn t worth $26.

The portions are also very tiny. I had 9 small raviolis served.

My wife had the rack of lamb ($50) but it was chewy and same thing, small piece of meat. All al carte. We left hungry, unfulfilled.

In contrast, a great value and rack a lamb with sides go to Russell s in Bothell. Far different and exceptionally served experience.

Superb Supper at RN74. Tonight I enjoyed an early evening dinner in the bar of this wonderful, posh, busy upscale restaurant in downtown Seattle. Bar service was spot on, friendly, and efficient. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Dinner of lobster bisque, salad and dessert were a bit pricey but well worth it. I highly recommend a meal here.

Visit during Seattle restaurant week. Food was delicious. Bigger than expected portions so you wont go hungry. Service was fine if a tad formal for me. But that's just me ... very fine dinner.

I really enjoyed my visit and the staff was the main highlight. In used to pretty disinterested service from most places in Seattle but the staff here is a wonderful exception. The menu is very interesting and is not just your normal French favorites. I will definitely be back and suggest you give them a try.

Excellent menu and of course the wines are extensive and posted on the walls in chalk
Servers are happy to help and walk you through the French menu with any questions. Friendly and approachable.

Fantastic service, really fast, enthusiastic and good. The food is excellent and of excellent quality. Unfortunately the salad as well as the onion soup and the main course and the salty dessert cannot be eaten. In salad, the blue cheese was not used in the dressing but under the salad. The onion soup very salty and overfilled with bread crust with too strong a taste of marmite like substance. Main course very nicely made, but even a child had shifted the equalizer of the herbs and additives, really too contemporary for my taste buds ...... salty desserts are unfortunately not for me either. Nevertheless a 3 star because the spirit and the staff are really worth a 10 star.

Great restaurant. Wife said the chicken was a little dry, but I had the duck and it was phenomenal. Cooked perfectly with a crispy skin is the best way. Make sure to get a pinot noir to pair with it.

I had high hopes for this place but it somehow missed the mark. I feel like they are trying super hard to be special and unique but there wasn t much about the food or drinks that stood out to me. The French onion soup was decent definitely better than most I ve had in the US. I had the pan fried chicken and it was good as well, but again, nothing terribly special. If the prices weren t so high I probably would have been more satisfied with the food. For those kinds of prices I really do expect to be blown away. The service gets 4/5 and the wine list was extensive. We probably won t be back.

A very cosy setup, kind of an old fashion style and very comfortable. For happy hour, the menu is not that extensive but what they have is well executed and fantastic quality and taste. Service was efficient and friendly. This was #1 in our three part happy hour crawl for the evening.

Easily one of the top two or three wine lists in the region, with the service to support it. Fantastic example of French cuisine with a Pacific Northwest lean. Whether you sit at the bar or a booth, you'll get superb service and attention.
