Every since my aunt has been here it has been a complete nightmare. Staff very rude and in fact not very helpful. Also nothing clearly posted to tell you about visitation protocol because of covid and who you need to speak to if you have any questions. If you are considering this facility run!

My sister is a patient at East Riverside Nursing H...

My sister is a patient at East Riverside Nursing Home and Rehab Center at this very moment. She called to say that she had been needing personal care and was refused care for 4 hours. The Physical Therapist Jennifer told her that she had to stand up on her feet to transfer. My sister refused because she can't stand on her feet. That is why she went into the nursing home. The Physical Therapist Jennifer then threw a breif on the bed and told my sister to change herself and that she could do it. Jennifer would not allow the aide with her to help my sister. My sister asked another nurses aide named Angel to help her and he refused. I prayed with my sister and asked God to help my sister. I told God that we needed his help because we did not know what to do. I asked God to touch their hearts and to Save them so that they might have kindness and compassion to treat their patients the way that God treats us. My sister was on one of the cell phones that they allow patients to use. Everytime that I tried to call the front desk the phone would ring back to my sister. There was no way that I could inform anyone about what was going on and how my sister was being treated by the staff who was supposed to be taking care of her. Finally, after I hung up the Aide named Angel came in and helped her transfer into bed and changed her like he should have done when she asked him to earlier. My sister is supposed to have surgery and I worry about what kind of care she will receive if she comes back here after surgery. If they are treating my sister in this manner, they are probably treating other patients the same way. These patients have no Voice. Due to Covid no visitors allowed. They can treat these patients any way they choose and get by with it and they are. Thank you Heavenly Father for getting my sister the care that she needs.

I am very thankful for the way they treated my girlfriend. I really appreciate it and I am not disappointed in the services. I have been here everyday and I see all of the staff working hard in the kitchen, washing clothes and changing her and all. God Bless you all.

Arguably one of the best SNFs in the greater Austin area. Clean, good staff to resident ratio, lots of activities, and very encouraging staff members. They urge my mom to do more everyday things herself (as opposed to waiting for someone to do them for her). She is happier than she's been in a long time, and she has stayed at several different types of facilities over the years. Most of the staff know me by my first name, and it's obvious they really care about the residents and their families.

My brother is there as of this minute and he calle...

My brother is there as of this minute and he called me crying. Says he's in pain and his chest hurts. Nobody has come to help him and only 1 nurse on duty. They are trying to force medicine in his pic line that is not working. And he is just there for wound care. I am reading nothing bad reviews on this facility. Patients may be on medicare or medicaid, but that doesn't mean they need to be treated differently. Would you treat your mom, dad, sister, brother, or any other of your own family with the same treatment? No, you wouldn't. So what makes these patients any different? They are there to get the treatment they need and they are depending and trust you to help them. I have been in Nursing homes and yes staff are horrible to the patients. Why can't they hire staff that enjoy and love doing their job and not just hire because they need a job. I hope my brother gets the care and treatment he and everyone else deserves. I work in the medical field as well and would NEVER treat my patients this way. I treat them all like they're my own family. Please have heart RNR.

We called this morning to help a friend who is actively dying in the hospital get her cell phone. The staff member s response was, I don t know why people be calling on the weekend. This person demonstrated complete lack of compassion/interest in helping a dying resident have their cell phone to say their final goodbyes.

To be fair- they are horribly understaffed and have had a steady decline in quality for years. On a more positive note, I know their rehab therapists really do care about their patients, as they have been working to help make my friend feel loved and provided excellent care for her.
