Super-deserved stars. In addition to the dishes that have a truly incredible care in presentation and flavors, I point out two things that make the difference: The Chef, Pietro Leeman comes in person to take your order! and from the beginning he establishes a relationship with customers, asking two or three questions and chatting a little. The other detail is that the kitchen has a huge window so it is visible and you can see how they work. The service of the boys very good. Is worth!

I have no words to describe the disappointment of ...

I have no words to describe the disappointment of dinner with my partner in this restaurant. As a vegan I had high expectations and a lot of curiosity and pride in being able to dine in a starred VEGETARIAN / VEGAN but besides the theft, not even the tomato was decent. Too much smoke and no roast veg! Furthermore, the somelier is not clear on what it means to try to satisfy a diner. Theft and disappointment

Was a present for our daughter who eats vegan. I don't necessarily eat vegetarian/vegan.
Ok. So interior: unpretentious, nice, not over the top like many 1 stars. To the point: the point is the food, not the deco. Service: professional and efficient, works as a team, very well - although some could do with a touch more heartiness.
Food: very nice - focused on local produce - no exotic tastes/combinations - well balanced local flavours. Not sea/asia/salt/hot/exotic/... mixes but the essence of the local ingredients combined in interesting ways.
Wonderful colours and presentations. Good balance of textures, from foams to soups, tender things and jellies.
Good wines.
Excellent value for money (not expensive for 1 star)

Bad management just for the fact that if they pull it to the point of thinking of not having to reply to emails. Just a "No thanks" was enough. It does not take much appearance, if then there are no foundations for education. Yes, nice to take pictures of the dishes ... but personally I see a lot of appearance and little substance.

We are the second time in this restaurant, most of the dishes are very creative and delicious. Pleasant sommelier, BUT SERVICE IN THE ABSENCE OF THE WEAK WISE: ((. We were offered only once baked goods all evening, although they are outstanding. They didn t want to ask. In any gourmet restaurant, not to mention Michelin ones, things like bread and pastries are offered several times, especially if guests quickly eat it. But the most unpleasant thing is that they obviously tried to deceive us! In a half-empty restaurant it is impossible to mix up bills in the tables. Especially if this is the beginning of the order. Nevertheless, they allegedly wrote someone else s aperitif for 30 Euro. I know that tech This is almost impossible to do without intentions. That's what the absence of the owner in the hall means. A trifle, and all the positives from delicious dishes are blurred. Later I read reviews from other guests and found that adding extra amounts was a common practice: ((one conclusion - check account! And THE OWNER NEEDS TO EXIT FROM KITCHEN TO THE HALL more often!

Very good food, beautiful dishes, almost over-cured almost intrusive table service, BUT keep an eye on personal effects, because you pay the bill and they forget who you are and carelessness and discourtesy are the masters, which is unacceptable for a restaurant with a star Michelin. I go for a dinner with friends on Friday 22/09 and at the entrance the head nurse invites us to leave our personal effects in the wardrobe, only I accept for the jacket (of simple black leather in which I had placed a jade pendant, not of great value but it was a gift I cared about, silly I certainly) in getting out of the chatter and the fact that it was not cold I forget the jacket in the wardrobe and the three waiters who had served us in the head of the room to which the I had entrusted them remind me to pick it up, nothing serious, the next call at lunchtime apologizing for the inconvenience and saying that I would send a person to pick it up. A lady replies that by cutting short she says she has found nothing, without even going to check (the wardrobe is not near the reception) I remain a little dumbfounded and hooked. I wait to hear from the friends with whom I had been in the restaurant and they too confirm that I went out without a jacket. So safer call on Monday at 9.30 pm hoping that the head nurse who welcomed us on Friday answers me, nothing answers the same lady to whom I explain the situation and I ask her if she can kindly go to look, I hear the door open and close and new "No there is nothing" (but how? in full service hours there is not even a jacket to move to see if mine remained behind?) always very politely I say that maybe it was given by mistake to a other customer (smurf cutter is difficult but I try to be a possibility) and that if they should bring it back they could perhaps contact me, answer "Yes of course goodbye" and hang up without asking for my number.
I find that there has been a bad customer and situation management that I never expected in a place of this level.

Beautiful restaurant! Unlike what you may think, even those who are not vegetarian come out satisfied qualcuno as someone points out, the prices are a bit high, but adequate for a starry experience

Very good and original. I took a menu with friends. Original dishes, artfully served and of great taste despite being vegetarian. Wisely selected ingredients, processed and combined. Courteous staff is very professional.
Go there, it is worth the thought.

Should you have any reservations towards vegetarian food, this is where you go, to be proven wrong. We went for lunch, and had four excellent servings, which was just right.
The service might be what keeps the second star from them... Not that they where rude, or incompetent... They where just not at a high level.

Incredible experience: fairly standard environment, however the service and quality of food is incredibly high. I am not vegetarian or vegan, and for this reason I would recommend the restaurant to anyone, regardless of the chosen food philosophy. A tasting menu includes many courses and, despite obviously having a rather high price (always with a Michelin star! We talk!) In my opinion it is justified by the efficiency of the service, the presentation of the dishes and the undeniable quality of the raw material. If you have the chance, try it, you will not be sorry!

Vegetarian starred restaurant! Three words that seem to be unable to coexist instead here you can really find the elegance and refinement in the dishes prepared by the Ticino chef Leman! Let yourself be amazed by the dishes and in no case will you find that protein is missing! Excellent service thanks to the highly trained and professional staff!

It is not a simple vegan restaurant but very
Special. Very healthy but surprising world is waiting for you.
The taste of food is very scuttle but very strong umami. And service staff is friendly.
without any request, the staff notice my napkin was dropped and exchanged.
I could only get the seat lunch time. But definitelyI will be back again.

High level cuisine and service, the chef is always renewed and amazes with new ideas and experiments. It's not about going to eat but getting involved in a deep sensory experience. Excellent ingredients that justify the fairly high cost even if compared to restaurants of the same level it is cheaper. The only criticism is for the furnishing and setting up of the rooms which, despite being dignified, I would renew them. Highly recommended for outings as a couple or for work.

Chef Lemann always surprises with his creations. I would say beautiful, the recent restyling of the restaurant marked by a certain simplicity and austerity consistent with a green philosophy, certainly much better than before, was to be rejuvenated. Try the bistro at lunch to enter the world of this chic vegetarian cuisine.

Completely overrated and doesn't deserve the Michelin star, there are way better restaurants in milan. Please skip this one.
FYI I had the 4 course tasting menu which was supposed to be experimental.
And the service was very underwhelming for what the restaurant represents.

Experimenting with vegetarian food is all ways more difficult. The chef is a proud proponent of vegetarian food.
Impeccable service and delightful ambiance with great food at reasonable pricing. It has it all.
Been to many Michellin starred places. Michellin's obvious bias towards meat serving restaurants is rooted in their illiteracy of vegetarian food. It's time they evolved and looked at what magic is being served at places like Joia!!
In any case, the digital age is proving the real time ratings and Michellin needs to learn from that.

The restaurant is very well cared for and the service is just what makes you live an experience different from all the other restaurants. The dishes speak for themselves: colors and contrasts accompany excellent flavors!
A tasting menu is recommended, prices are high a la carte.

Below any expectations, not the kitchen of a Michelin star! Expensive and rated but objectively tasting bad, every dish I took was or cold (source of life), or too salty (humami) or so redundant with the flavours of the other dishes in the menu (under a colored cover) that I had to leave it in the plate.The personell was overnumbered and not expert .The response to our complaints was: sorry, but it was an experience,wasnt't it? I felt they were making fun of us actually.

I am neither vegan nor vegetarian. That being said, it is worth trying Joia for the beauty of the dishes alone and for the mere fact that you will taste them only there. At least once it has to be done. Chapeau for the courage to "be different"

The restaurant is beautiful. It has a Michelin star. Truly a place where a unique and particular experience is taken from the point of view of the taste of the pleasure of food of the refinement of the research in the detail of the kindness and courtesy of the boys who pamper you during dinner, as it was for us Friday evening. Nothing is left to chance. Everything is taken care of in detail. We congratulated the Chef. The attention given to the dishes is crazy. It is perfect as there is the right amount of salt in each course. They gave us a tasting coupon for two people. A true triumph of class and goodness. I was incredibly surprised by this. One restaurant for vegetarians only. The trip from Genoa was absolutely worth the amazing dinner. Dogs are accepted.
