Four stars simply because the drink was so beautiful. Food was pretty good.
Four stars simply because the drink was so beautiful. Food was pretty good.
The buffet food was bland. Not much of a variety. Old fashioned vibe.
Overpriced and limited menu. Many items on scant menu are not country at all. Burger was ok, but not to par for what it cost. Fries were almost completely cold. At least server was quick to bring fresh warm fries, but they too were mediocre. Perhaps other items are better than the burgers.
Excellent food, excellent service, fair prices. Kind of funny to be asked about my age to buy vodka. I asked the lady how old she was and she was 44. (Used to be no woman was over 28 when you would ask them). Anyway at 73 now it is nice that someone may think not over 21 or whatever the legal age here in Maryland is. Very good place in all aspects.
It was nice to sit down and have lunch. Tables were kept at a distance.
Had the meat loaf and was very good.
When looking for delectable libations, the first thing to consider is selection! You want to have the ability to select your favorite brand and try new brands as well. Then you want a great price with friendly and wonderful customer service. You get all of these at RIPS. Located off Rt. 301 in Bowie, Md., RIPS is my place of choice whenI need selections to either chill out to or to entertain a party of family and friends. Their restaurant also have delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner menu items. Thus, making RIPS your place to go when hosting a party or to meet and eat with a party.
We used to come for Sunday buffett but food selections keep getting smaller and prices keep getting higher. Came on a week day w my kids for lunch and walked out 20min later since there was no acknowledgement from waitress on a very slow day. The hostess didn't seem to care either. Now, I occasionally purchase from the deli where they are far more friendly than the old bitties on wait staff in the dining area. The dining room is FULL OF DUST anyway. I don't like leaning my head back or touch the sides where there's plenty of wood bc it hasn't been cleaned since they opened. It's absolutely disgusting and the food is floating in grease.
Rip's has always had good food and plenty of IT services excellent is quick and it's inexpensive relatively I've eaten it rubs off and on for at least 40 years and it's always been good
Good food. American fare. Comfort food. Good service. Atmosphere is rustic with Maryland horse track theme. A favorite spot for breakfast and brunch.
Had an exemplary dining experience today with your server, Tiffany Alvarez. She was very attentive, consistent, and cheerful too! Will definitely request her service for future reservations. This restaurant is certainly a Five Star rating and Ms. Alvarez comes highly recommended.
Great, upscale place to have a cocktail when in DTLA. Excellent ambiance and breathtaking views from the rooftop. Although it can get a little crowded on the weekends.
Great selection of wines. Domestic and imported. Local wines section is
Good old fashioned food. Not a fancy menu but food was delicious.
The waitresses were awesome and the food I ordered was tasty.
I visit this place a lot since I work close by. I love how the service is always great and they keep the place clean at all times. Pricing is convenient and they serve large portions.
I've gotten a lot of sandwiches here and the only one I haven't enjoyed completely had anchovies on it. They did ask me if I wanted them on it and I haven't had anchovies in a long time so it was an interesting experience. The French dip is popular with those I work with.
Amazing food and ambience! Had the Fish Fry, which was delicious! I'd definitely come back when we're in the area! Reasonably priced, too!
Still delicious after all these years. Can't wait to try the prime rib again and crab pie. Lunch was a huge 2 piece fried fish with sides, Cheesesteak, and burger.
Average food, average service, average prices. Sadly that is a winner for breakfast in this area.
The food was good , waiters and waitresses were very nice ,I would go again .
When I lived in the area I dined here and it was wonderful. I've returned 20 years later and it's still serving up good eats. Jumbo crab cake sandwich awesome. Bread pudding delicious. I highly recommend this establishment.
The ribeye was excellent. My guest's fried chicken was over cooked. The service was slow this night.
I have not eaten here in over two years, I use to love the fried oysters, back then they were great. I was just there on 6/16/17 my food did not taste the same as it use too, the oysters were so greasy. I thought I was eating fried chicken livers. My sweet potato wasnt sweet. I'm done, won't be going back.
Worse meal ever. Food was terrible; service was sub-par; over-price based on the bad quality of food. I don't recommend it.
I was there for the Sunday Buffet which I usually enjoy but today there were pieces of long red hair cooked on the bacon. Reported to the manager he had a don't care attitude. I was very disappointed with the way he handled the situation. Manager needs much better training. I WlLL NOT DINE THERE AGAIN! BE CAREFUL WHERE YOU EAT! YOU MIGHT BITE DOWN ON CAT HAIR
The Deli is 5 stars, but the restaurant itself I would rate 2.6, the service was terrible, last time I went with my family we sat down and waited 40 minutes and servers saw us but no one came to the table so that was the last time we went but if you plan on going I recommend checking out the Deli, the food is delicious, well seasoned, and consistent, I personally recommend the steak and cheese with onions, tomato, lettuce, and hot peppers.
Food is amazing! Great atmosphere and customer service.
I enjoyed the Sunday buffet brunch! Service was great. I will be back.
Food and ambience was fine, but service was very slow for lunch. Took us almost 1:30, and we were late getting back to work.
They've come a long way. And the way is good. Friendly staff, suitable menu and great drinks
Went Sunday morning. They only have buffet breakfast till 1:00 and then dinner starts. We were there at 11:30. Choices were strange for breakfast in my opinion, fish and pasta. And when things got low all food was piled together. Such as bacon, sausage and french toast all in one. I didnt like my bacon then tasting sweet. At about 12:15 all food was gone. Only to be told they were setting up for dinner. Buffet cost is $20/person Kids $10 for $70 I'd go somewhere else.
Beautifully decorated for the holidays. Waitstaff had too many tables to serve so service was slow. My steak was cooked a little past the medium rare I ordered. The baked potato was over cooked. The green beans were out of a can and were inedible. Very disappointed as the food is usually much better.
Great place to either eat from the restaurant, the deli, and purchase your alchohol.
There Maryland Fish Fry platter is delicious. They give you big portions. Everybody can't make coleslaw, but their coleslaw is so good, I had to order another one to go.
Rip's is fabulous. I do wine shopping mostly, however have eaten in the restaurant and it is incredible. Staff on both sides is courteous, efficient and always make you feel as if you're the only person there. I love it!
First time, but not the last. It was suggested that I have the wings and carb soup and it hit the spot. The food was delicious, the soup had a nice spice and the Cajun we're just short of perfect (pinch less salt). It was a great meal and the atmosphere is great for holding a conversation.
Pleased!!
Was there for a small Christmas get together. Service was pretty good. I just had a salad but it was super yummy. Pumpkin cheesecake was wonderful. Had to wait some time even though we had a reservation. It is the busy time of year though so we understood.
Had dinner there food was so good.very hot.l had to sit and wait until it cool before I ate. service is excellent as well.I recommend that everyone should at least try one time if you never been before.
Same food, higher prices. Great small catering. They'll work with you.
Breakfast foods were pretty good. The lunch good was just okay. I would visit again.
Restaurant, motel and liquor store what More can you ask for
Hidden in this liquor/beer store is the most fabulous deli. Wonderful salads! I've tried just about everything and when I want to surprise someone I bring them rips. Can't go wrong. They have quaint area outside to eat which is why this has become one of my favorite places to go.
Great deli, I've come to this place for their gyros for over 20 years!
Been going here for years. Consistent quality. Underrated, for sure. Feels like home.
It's been awhile since I've eaten here. We had reservations for a party of six, but they gave our space to a walk in group. Offered us two booths across from each other -Really? Server appeared new, so there were some hiccups, but she was trying, and I applaud that. Cream of crab soup was very good, Broiled crab cakes we're good as well. Others in my party did not fair as well. Meatloaf was unflavorful and not finished, another's food came out not to eating temperature. We were a party of six, and I know they want to serve all meals at the same time, but gauge cooking times so meal doesn't sit too long under heat lamp. It had to be sent back and microwaved which affects the flavor. For the prices they charge, they have to do better.
I came in for breakfast with my two boys today 2/10 and everything was great! I'm sorry that I don't remember our waitress' name :/ but she was very sweet and attentive. I was a bit distracted and did leave in a bit of a hurry as it was itty-bittys nap time.
P.S. Thank you so much to my fellow diner, the Dodgers fan, who kindly paid for our breakfast! It was very generous of you and I'm sorry that you slipped away before we could thank you. P.P.S. I am a California girl so go Dodgers!
Who I love rips. The selection for beers phenomenal and the wine selection is next to none. You can go there and get whatever you need for any engagement or get together and you will definitely be able to host a bang-up party
Haven't visited in awhile, but one of my favorite waitresses began to work there. Lunch was great! Appetizer of fried green tomatoes, grits and shrimp was incredible! Pecan grilled chicken salad great! Their social distancing and cleaning was spot on! I will be back....soon!!!!
This place was fabulous, wish we lived near by. Great food and service from a new server name Dee. The atmosphere memorabilia was from the horse racing error so horse lovers would appreciate it. Hope to come back the next time in future.
We went to Rips to celebrate my birthday. My hubby had the New York Strip with a side salad... mashed potatoes and gravy....I had the parmesan crusted cod with rice and a side salad. The steak was tender, juicy and flavorful... The cod was moist and baked to perfection...Their corn bread was served fresh out of the over....sweet ...moist....too die for! Last but not least we topped dinner off with their signature desert.. rum bread pudding....Yummy! Everything was Absolutely Delicious!!! Thanks Matthew, Taylor and Bryan for taking such good care of us!
This is worst place ever. First our food was messed up and secondly we were given food we never ordered. And at the end charged us for what we did not order. Poor services too.
Food delicious and healthful. Waitress efficient and pleasant. All around delightful experience.
Great selection and staff . They are so helpful and knowledgeable
The cream of crab soup was delicious, the entrees open faced roast beef sandwich the fish platter was as well. The service was very good. Definitely give it a try!!!
Came here for the deli but enjoyed the large liquor selection that they have. The deli was yummy.
