Really nice place my family and I enjoyed every minute fyi were tennys to pick fruit
Wonderful old world experience with really good food, and happy live music. Family enjoyed it immensely.
Never knew this place existed! Had a great time! The homemade Apple pie was delicious!
Fun place great for the kids to experience. Candle making archery and tomahawk throwing. They have great pies and cookies
Really great experience. This is a working Apple farm that doubles as a revolutionary war reenactment living history center. The reenactment actors are amazingly informed and entertaining. Apple pie is amazing of course. Only thing that I would criticize is the sheer number of schools they allow at one time makes the whole thing feel chaotic.
Love this Place during apple season. They have great food, best candy apples and chicken pot pies!
We went to Riley's a while back and had a genuinely middling experience. There weren't many apples and the ones we picked tasted normal. Not good or bad, just normal. Staff were also less than friendly, which is odd for a farm. This is coming from someone who visits Julian almost every year.
Riley's shared that they will not be enforcing the state mandate to wear masks in public. The economics behind the decision are obvious - this business doesn't want to lose customers who choose not to wear masks. Simply put, Riley's is willing to risk your health for profit. After they mock you on social media, of course.
There are lots of places to pick apples, and I can't think of any reason to do it here.
A great place to go with the kids. My youngest son came here today with his school and he had a great time. By the time we got to our car he was so exhausted from his fun field trip. The beef jerky was the bomb, made fresh $3.00 for 1 big piece but very good so well worth it. We so plan on coming back here to try out the restaurant all homemade foods.
We LOVE Rileys farm. Our daughters field trip was awesome and then we went on the 4th of July for the Colonial faire. The colonial faire was fun and the food at their restaurant was AMAZING. definitely recommend bringing the kids up, or even just with friends or on a date!
I have been here several times over the years and have always enjoyed it. Oak Glen is magical and Riley's contributes a lot to that!
It was a perfect day to pick a few Granny Smith apples for my Thanksgiving Day pie! I enjoyed walking about the grounds and seeing everyone enjoying the activities and food Riley's Farm had to offer. The glass of wine and the beautiful rose bush on the patio was a great way to end my visit.
A fantastic place to wander among historical buildings and a working farm. There are several exhibits and some tasty grub. Some days they have battle recreations. A gift shop for souvenirs and delicious teas. It's a great place to bring your kids.
My sister brought our whole family here. I had never heard of this place & I didn't know apple picking was a thing one could do so I was pleasantly surprised. It's best to go during the peak season in order to pick apples. As it was for us, we didn't find many to pick. But it was still absolutely beautiful to walk through the orchards. There was also the chance to make your own cider, which we did & turned out delicious. We also bought a whole apple pie which we could tell was homemade and very good. Plus, a bunch of other activities available for people with kids. I loved my experience here & hope to go back next year.
I Really enjoy coming to this place I love how the farm look I really enjoy how the view looks I really hope I can go again.
Great place to take the family. Beautiful view from up there. Nice ambiance.
Went to the revolutionary war reenactment and it was amazing! All the personnel stayed in character the entire time. They made it fun and incredibly interesting, even for the parents. Amazingly fun, really interactive and steeped in history, Rileys Farm is a must experience!
The (tavern) restaurant has delicious food plus u can pic your own strawberries , apples or other variety of fruits depending on the season.
It a great outing for a family trip. Very educational for everyone and fun at the same time. The employees are great with kids.
I love this place! I visited with my children when they were in school as a field trip and I continue to go back every year because it is amazing
Love Riley s Farms! Looking forward to taking the family again!
The most amazing living history program in Southern California! They also have a U-pick farm with various crops throughout the year. We love Riley's Farm!
Stepping back, "Somewhere in time"
We love Riley's!
See you in December
Fun Family Time. Great atmosphere and darn good re-enactors. Food is GREAT
Great place to enjoy a walk with your family. There's a lot to look at here. You can also find merchandise that is made from their own fruits that they grow on site. Most of their merchandise is like that. Only bad thing is that they start closing close pretty early. If you truly want to enjoy this place get there early.
A fun place for children to learn about the farm and the Yucaipa area. Very interesting and fun for the kids.
This place is kind of gimmicky, but has its charm.
For apple picking, they have newton apples, pippins apples, and granny smith; if you care about the particular varieties anyway.
Otherwise, this is kind of a staple stop for people who enjoy a fall visit to a socal farm. It's quaint and lovely.
Great place, I came with my daughter for her 5th grade field trip. All the workers were great and hilarious, especially the judge scene and the blacksmith.. It was a great experience and fun learning environment. Don t forget the apple pies are the best, I willing to drive there too pick up so more pies
nice building and farm, can do Berry picking or apple pick by different season.
Watching the children reenact the Revolutionary War and the Civil War is amazingly fun.....AND they're learning at the same time. Come on up. On Saturdays we have Tomahawk Throwing, Archery, Candlestick Making, Blacksmith and even a booth for making Corn Husk Dolls. Operational hours are M-S 9 to 4. And a little-known fact about Rileys is we have great dinner theaters check them out online.
Oh and on your visit don't forget to stop by the Hawks Head Tavern to have some of art amazing chicken pot pies or corn chowder in a bread bowl.
Always my favorite place to go in Oak Glen. This location offers a colonial mercantile shop and Hawks head restaurant in the front and a backwoods bbq in the back (bbq only offered during apple season). They offer tomahawk throwing, archery and candle making as well as a u-pick selection of berries, apples, pears, flowers, squash and pumpkins depending on the season. They charge by the bag or the container. I recommend the glen seedlings as they are an Oak Glen specialty apple.
*They have the BEST pies in Oak Glen. You can order these unbaked and bake them at home. Beautiful scenery and amazing food, service and atmosphere.
Side note: bathrooms are located across from Hawks Head Restaurant. Please be patient for good food and good times.
The most Amazing place to bring the kiddos. Beautiful and fun. The restaurant food was great and staff through out the grounds were friendly and very knowledgeable. Definitely a place to go back to.
Best chicken pot pie I've ever had. Also the apple pie is smazing!
Already making plans for our next visit. Really enjoyed ourselves.
It is fun because you get to pertend that u are shutong someone and then do a scarf
Great place for breakfast, not a huge menu but what there is is terrific. Service is excellent, atmosphere is unique.
This is always a great place to bring your family. They have berry picking, a restaurant and a Colonial Fair.
Good food. Great service and great place for usa history.
Love it!! I go almost every day! It is 1 minute from my house
Fun place to pick apples, drink cider, and take in the great country air. John gave us lots of good tips for picking apples. We knew exactly what to do and where to go for the apples we wanted. And the apples are delicious! They offer samples of their apple butter, pumpkin butter, and other jams. You can also participate in crafts and press your own cider. It was a fun place for any age.
Great place for fruit picking in a super relaxed setting with lots of history
Mountain Fifes and Drums were awesome to watch at Riley's Farms! We always love it here!
Really neat!!! Fun, interesting menu. Great food. Apples and sausages...oh yum. Fun servers dressed up in costume. In fabulous Oak Glen area.
My daughter said she learned a lot and said that she wants to take the family the.
Awesome beautiful place! My daughter 8 years old absolutely loved it and had a lot of fun!
Great place to visit, apple pie apple cider restaurant in the even have some livestock. Great destination for a day trip. Sincerely Adventures of David and Aaron check it out on YouTube
I ve visited with my family for years, but no longer, once we found out the farm owner sued a local school district. Google it.
Place is beautiful. Food is great and they have all different types of crops you can pick. Worth a trip during any season.
Great place for families. Many different kinds of activities, which you can find on their event page. Nice place for lunch and dessert. Ther had chicken pot pies and beef and potato pies, as well as a couple of sandwich choices.
Their apple pies were heaped up over the top of the pan, or the next stop down they were flat across the top and $6 less.
Come out to see a show or take a trip back in time. The characters and food are great! Wholesome family fun!
Very organized and educational for children. Very cold when we were there.
A fun day for the under 10 crowd. Makes a great school field trip. The signs make it a little difficult figuring out where you're going.
First time visiting the Oak Glen area. Went to find "fall color" in the trees. So much to see and do. Make sure you stop at the village shops. There's something for everyone!!
Took a day camp there we had a blast very interesting setting. A lot of walking though. Timed children activities which was good.limited food options. There is a small gift shop with medium priced items for the kids. Sodas candy options. Small parking lot. But overall i would recommend this place. But call ahead and make sure they are completely well staffed so you can get your money's worth
Have visited this location in the Beaumont, CA area for the homemade Chicken Pot Pies. Also serve beef pot pies for main meals. Also serve homemade apple pies. Great menu. Waiters and staff dressed in 16th century costumes. Schools have outings there. During the summer you can pick growing strawberries. All-in-All great lunch and great for kids. Enjoy atmosphere!!!
We had a great day here! Picked apples, made cider, threw tomahawks, made candles and got to see a musket demonstration. Perfect fall day trip! The cast there stayed in character and we learned a few things about daily life in the past. The apple pie was great.
Like stepping back in colonial times.
Really cool the food/bakery is awesome.
Plus you learn about history. They are dressed and play the part of a person in colonial times.
Parking is ample and this location is great to pick apples.
A favorite for our family, Riley's Farm is a beautiful hidden gem. Our kids love their activities especially the tomahawk throwing and archery. During the right season, you can pick all sorts of fruits and even flowers. They're most popular is the apples but you can't beat the strawberries, they're always delicious. Make sure that if you visit Riley's Farm, you come hungry, their restaurant, The Hawk's Head Tavern is like going back in time, from the decor, to the staff, to the food, everything feels like early America. The oil lamps and pewter mugs help with the ambiance and the smell of Apple cider and food baking will make you anxious for more.
There is so much more to discover there, and I am looking forward to camping in one of their luxury tents one of these visits!
AWESOME MY CLASS WENT ON AN OVERNIGHT FIELD TRIP AND IT WAS AWESOME
We had a WONDERFUL family experience!! Loved it here. Will definitely be back
Absolutely Beautiful, Great place to get away for a few days
Love this place! They have the best food! Love their apple turnovers with carmel!
Well first off it was amazing! The weather was nice and cool! The trees were vibrant colors! Everything was just perfect and it was so much fun! It is a tourist area so no parking for starters. Get there early if you want a good spot. The picking apples was kinda pricey $3.50 a pound. 1 gallon of apple cider was $24.00! We didn t get any but they have individual glasses and it sure was yummy! Everyone was nice! Definitely worth going!
This is an awesome place I wish they were open a little bit later. I don't know if it's just on their offseason but when I was there I think they closed at 4 or 4:30
Had a great time with Bible Study group great weather great food scenery was amazing will go back again
Loved picking apples & a few remaining strawberries at the start of October. It was very crowded, so arrive extra early or go later in the month.
Beautiful place with orchards that you can pick your own apples. Great food and friendly staff. Perfect for groups or family time.
Amazing atmosphere and good food. Highly recommend taking an apple pie home.
Riley's Farm is like stepping back in time and place to 18th century colonial America. A real Farm, you can pick fruit in it's season, enjoy fresh food at the Hawks Head tavern.Special events and dinner theater happens throughout the year.
Super cute! This is a great place for families and friends. It s wholesome fun that s honestly underrated nowadays.
I enjoyed apple picking, cider drinking, candle making, axe throwing, etc. fantastic day trip!
Alot of fun to visit. Get chance for any individual young or old to get out into the real world and learn about how easy we have it now.
