Very incompetent and they cover up mistakes by not taking responsibility. In the meantime I am still rehabilitating after a year and a half because people do not bother to take complaints seriously. I want to cancel an appointment at the radiology department. I am abroad. I get very long waiting times (10 min and more) while there is only 1 waiting for me. Seems like private conversations. What I find the most annoying is that you can not cancel that appointment online, while we can at a doctor's appointment. I do not understand that in this digital age. Just not customer friendly!
It is so unfortunate that people leave the whole hospital as a bad hospital because of one bad experience. Very short-sighted in my opinion. There are hundreds of people working there and they are not all the same. My husband, who has recently died, has been a patient there for years and we have also run into things that could be done differently. Communicate about it! Not a bad word about Rijnstate from me!

You are no longer a person but a number. Everything has to be in turbo mode and nursing does not have time, they are too busy with social media. The only department that still functions reasonably is Neurology. They are human and take time and, if applicable, try to plan several appointments in 1 day. What is going on around there: unfriendly disrespectful (care) staff, nursing with long faces and cunning looks with, in my opinion, too little attention. Yesterday I visited the Rijnstate hospital for the first time as a visitor because my sister had a major operation which she had to recover from for a few days in the hospital with the necessary attention and good care .. I have been very worried since yesterday about!!!! During the visit hour she is harassed head over heels by a rather casual and blunt nurse .. my sister was not allowed to have an opinion and she was snubbed with her hands sideways in the presence of her visit in this case me and my children. We stood with our mouth open to see how a patient is treated ugly in such a hospital ... !!!!! When I heard from my sister how it went for the rest of the day ... I am very shocked and have no words for it ... in general, surgery for a patient is already very drastic, for one more than another including the patient's family. In addition to physical care, psychic care is also largely part of it. A patient should feel at ease and gain the confidence to work towards a good recovery, the nurses have a major role in this.
