Excellent organization with lots to offer to the public

This organization is wonderful for seniors who benefit from it but I was surprised that there was no support available in Richmond for a family experiencing an emergency . The mom was in hospital and the 2 older children needed a ride to school in the mornings until she was released. The kids had to miss school. The boy who is a very sweet and diligent student had just started high school. He was taken into a meeting where he said he got in a lot of trouble for missing 2 days of school. Richmond Cares, Richmond Gives sounds like it cares about everyone, not just seniors. It is wonderful that seniors are well respected and cared for but let's not exclude younger people who need help. Kids can be torn from their family and placed in foster care but that option is overkill for minor needs that could be looked after if there was some volunteer help available for emergencies.
