This is such a great venue. There are a lot of pretentious and overpriced places in Shoreditch these days, but Rich Mix really keeps it real. They have excellent gigs, a smallish cinema and exhibitions. It's reminiscent of what East London used to be about, progressive values, pushing boundaries and challenging conformity.

Not the biggest room, but the picture and sound were good.
It is on the 4th floor, but there is a lift if you cannot climb stairs.
Wouldn't be my first choice of cinema, but acceptable.

Whilst is great to have multi screen / multi functional space in Tower Hamlets. it would be far more an enjoyable experience if the staff where trained in customer service (assume they are salaried staff and not charity workers) Upon several visits now the cashier/ticket desk staff seem to be constantly online on the computer being "busy' and unwilling to peel themselves from the screen to serve a customer wanting to buy a cinema ticket. Given they are actually sitting in front of the computer that prints the tickets it only takes seconds to serve a customer. The cinema itself is fine and has plenty of screens and a variety of movies that are not always Hollywood blockbusters.

Great local place for concerts, cinema, foods etc. We watched a movie there and I would say I enjoyed it more than the usual suspects aka Cineworlds, Odeon etc. The staff was friendly too. Also loved they had a photo booth - such a nice memory from the night.

An indie art house that may not appeal to everyone..but the movie selections are both eccentric and popular. Membership is well worth it if you are a big fan of Art house indie cinema..
I am wondering why I waited this long to go there.

I really love RichMix

They have great events and show some different films than the mainstream ones.

Sadly, they didn't have salt popcorn I don't know if that was just today or a regular thing tho thought you should know

I wanted this cinema to be really good but there are a number of issues that i really think they need to address. First thing has to be the ticket price for family. Adding the word "from" let's them charge what they want. When i asked how More

Despite being a native east Londoner I have never been to Rich Mix before.
We went to see Doctor Sleep. Screen 2 is small but has a great rake (perfect for a short arse like me) and lovely decor.
And there is a lovely little cafe attached to Rich Mix called Indigo at which we had cake and coffee.

Relaxed informal cinema and arts areas. I've watched performance arts from interactive African drumming to live story telling to simply taking in a movie. Weekend's are cheap with kids club and they sell good and alcohol

Hooligans ruined the film for everyone else in there and the staff were unwilling or unable to do anything, in spite of being informed.
Eventually managed to get a refund but only after about 30mins of being pissed around by the feckless staff.

I was a little nervous about going to the House Gospel Choir this week, I'm a middle aged man who has always wanted to try singing. I thought I might feel out of place but my god, I couldn't have been more wrong. I literally had the time of my life. It was one of the most uplifting experiences I've ever had. The energy, love and mutual respect in the room was hugely moving. I leaned that music is our birthright but the music industry has robbed us of our natural instinct to create and turned is into consumers. If you feel moved to make music through singing, go and experience the bliss of the Gospel House Choir at RichMix, it will change your life.

I've been to the rich mix for several occasions, and last Monday I went to a very nice ambience concert.

The place never disappoints; everyone is really nice, the place is great for events, and the musician we saw (Loscii) was really good.

Very well located. Very happy with the events they have.

I went for a concert in Rich Mix and the music (high tones) was piercing my ears. Didn't enjoy most of it. I talked with the sound engineer after the concert and he confirmed the acoustic of the place is bad (the speakers are next to bare (not soundproofed) fillars which magnifies the high pitch sounds..

Friendly staff, great movies, very affordable (I bought a membership- even better!) nice and chilled. I travel 1.5 hours from home to come here, love this cinema! Boxpark and loads of great bars and restaurants surrounding which is also handy. One of my fave cinemas in London for sure.

A capable independent cinema, but a terrible arts venue. Expect some wailing and tribal drumming, or oddly familiar student-level photography.

Good: director interviews, good selection of both independent and Hollywood films, generally good staff, projection and sound has always been on point.

Bad: rubbish art aside, like most UK cinemas they don't publicise or actively enforce a no-talking/no-device policy, so expect some extra light and/or people not using their inside voice. Food is standard cinema fare.

They'd do well to leave the arts to more capable, closeby venues and focus on being a great cinema (starting with a stricter policy, and a kitchen, ala Alamo Draft House) rather than a so-so arts space.
