We went to the restaurant.
Mixed reviews.
I had an Indian I enjoyed.
My daughter didn't like the pizza.
My nephew couldn't find something he liked and tried the Massala chips that he disliked (but that I enjoyed)
Did not like this cinema at all. We went late in the evening and the area was just very dodgy. Didn t like the set up nor the whole experience. The screen was super tiny and the sound system was really bad. I would have enjoyed more watching Netflix at home
Great cinema with a difference and the prices are so reasonable especially on Mondays!
This is my local cinema that I frequently visit. They show a good mix of blockbuster and independent films. They also have many events during the week in their theater space. As a Tower Hamlets member, you can get discounted movie tickets on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Crazy that live been around that area so many time and I ve never come across this building. I attend a film screening for a friend of a friend at the cinema and so happy I went. Beautiful spot cold hang and great atmosphere plus the bar and a brilliant selection of craftbeer I had not seen before so that alone is 5/5
Cinema itself is quite friendly and inviting but I find the screens are quite sub-par to other cinema's I have seen, but is a good location for its cultural roots.
Small screens but 5 pounds for a ticket is a great deal :)
Not the absolute best cinema experience but makes up for it with loads of great events going on. you will often walk passed live music on the way to to cinema.
I love this place. But you have to enjoy casual, community-led places as this is no fancy trendy designed place or anything hip for that matter. It's just a nice community space with the occasional exhibit, event or live performance and a More
If you're after an alternative night out then you'd be wise to check what's on at Rich Mix. Alongside films you can find gallery exhibitions and a weekly ping pong tournament with DJs, sporty fancy dress and a bar (the wonderful Pongathon). Bonus: It's very close to the new Shoreditch High St. station.
Cozy venue, clean loos, nice bar, free water, excelente sound, safe area and not far from Old Street underground. Definitely I will come back if I find a band of our liking again :-)
My first time here and I was genuinely surprised at how beautiful the cinema was. Sound quality in particular was impressive.
Great food, films and a local community atmosphere.
Good seating and view. Popcorn, ice cream, ice lollies, sweets (non-halal), fizzy drinks and a large selection of alcoholic drinks. Higher adult attendance and drinking during night.
Quaint cinema, nice decor. Not many films on show due to having only few screens though.
First time at this rather cool building/community centre and I was really amazed to find that this place offers live music, film, dance, theatre, comedy, spoken word and a range of creative activities for people of all ages and all cultures. Must go!
Probably one of the most affordable places in central(ish) london to see first run blockbusters. The cinema has great sightlines and the sound is very good. Would be interested to see one of the ballets or operas that they're streaming from the Royal Opera House.
Great place for cinema, food, music and other events. Friendly staff and great location
Had some training days here Amazing food and lovely staff
Went to a special event, to listen to National Youth Jazz Orchestra's Christmas concert....as good as always. Front of house staff were helpful.
Small, intimate venue. Watched The Moth recording with one person on the stage telling stories and even sat at the back you felt really involved. Good to have a bar too. Great place
Just new here want....want to explore and know more..
Great part of the community! And great hangout spot for a chill night out.
Cool little cinema. Very friendly staff and comfy chairs.
Really varied programme of music, theatre, cinema and more. Love it!
Here they truly value art. Lots of alternative music shows and good selection of movies that can'tbe found in any theatre.
Reasonable prices and friendly staff.
An amazing venue in London for music performance, theater performance, and other cultural programs. The place serves a good sound. The gallery here is amazing. Easily visible from moving traffic. Had a good time here listening to the music and poetry project all the way from India.
Attended for an interview and the staff were lovely. Very helpful. I didn't get around much of the building but what I saw was nice and clean. It seemed to have decent facilities.
Excellent music space, sound system and acoustics to hear new and international world music.
I went to see Isle of Dogs on a Tuesday. It was quite. I hadn t been to the cinema for a few years and wasn t really sure why as it was close to me. The staff were friendly and the cinema was really clean. The seats are staggered well so you aren t sitting directly behind someone and each row of seats are elevated a bit, more than most cinemas, then to row in front. My problem is that you can t put your feet underneath the seats in front. If you wanted to stretch your feet then you can t and the seats force you to seat in a more upright position. It would be uncomfortable for me watching a longer film so I have taken off one star.
Great place, inclusion of beer is always a win when watching cinema
Great venue for all sorts of entertainment. Would highly recommend the membership that entitles you to discounted films and shows all year round. One of the nicest independent cinemas I've visited, the screens are very comfortable and spacious.
They are quite slow in serving, specially being a venue where costumers go before the movie, with a time limit.
Nice cinema, lovely stuff and accessible , few steps from underground and railway
When this place first opened it was amazing. Nice layout, comfy cinema seating, great prices. Over time that's unfortunately been eroded away. Lots of little bits have been added to split it up into smaller units, and the Feng Shui is very poor. Nothings where it should be, and to get in you have to aimlessly circle around the giant atrium that's hidden (and ruined by) a giant curtain to stop cinema visitors from seeing what's on below. It's a shame.
A very nice institution supporting indie music. Good place to enjoy causal music and beer.
What attracts me in Rich Mix is a rich mixture of artists they select to perform on the stage. Have been to several gigs here and it was never a miss.
An excellent artistic space for everything from showcasing a diverse array of local talent to international blockbusters. Rich Mix is a great anchor for date nights or a fun evening out with friends.
Good cinema, however seating is flat so if you have a tall person in front of you you'll miss some of the screen.
Cinema and music venue, great world music programme
Attended an even here, seems like a good venue. Can't speak for the cinema.
Great multi functional venue and space in upcoming London
Amazing venue with the latest movies and friendly, helpful staff. Can't rate it high enough!
Went to a Moth Story Slam there. It was a nice venue, with a good range of beers. It would have been good if they hadn't used plastic cups though.
Nice eating place quick service had there peproni pizza shared with one other filled both of but not stuffed. Trendy young crowed
Great experience and cool looking cinema. Me and my partner went to see Free Solo(2018) here and the venue was great, with a good selection of snacks and drinks. Would highly recommend!
Really cool centre where you an watch movie as and attend community event, worth checking out
Great venue for a wonderful and intimate concert evening with Mayra Andrade.
Great venue where you feel really close to the acts. Great sound!
Great place to chill out with a coffee. Decent prices and laid-back.
A cultural centre with a great cinema and clean facilities. On the ground floor there is a cool cafe with nice food and above there is a few cinema screen rooms which also have live music concerts on sometimes. Also there was a sweet photography exhibition on too which we enjoyed for free after our film. I'd highly recommend this cinema
Comfortable cinema with friendly staff and a buzzy live performance space
Great venue, bar staff fast and attentive, security team friendly and professional all around a great vib, wicked nite, FULL marks.
We was there for a filming comedy pilot. The staff was great and the venue was a good size and accessible.
A great venue although the cinema programming is a bit commercial. Would be nice to have more diverse and independent cinema. The staff can be a bit dour.
This fantastic community hub has cinema, dining, live music, and a great events listing from ping pong tournaments to artist showcases. Being in the East End it is predictably "hipster" in it's leanings, but don't let that put you off. For both big and arthouse releases, it's a great value cinema, and their popcorn is surprisingly affordable. I can only offer my opinion as a cinema-goer, as that is what I have visited Rich Mix for.
The only thing that lets it down, really, is the often surly and uninterested attitude from the staff. Given the independent, community dependant nature of Rich Mix, you'd assume they want to engage with customers and build up a good relationship with them. Sadly, this has often not been the case for me.
Great venue that seem to gives back to the local community. Will come again with friends
awesome venue, comfortable seats and great selection of films
Always the best place to watch and listen to different music and shows
