A capable independent cinema, but a terrible arts venue. Expect some wailing and tribal drumming, or oddly familiar student-level photography.

Good: director interviews, good selection of both independent and Hollywood films, generally good staff, projection and sound has always been on point.

Bad: rubbish art aside, like most UK cinemas they don't publicise or actively enforce a no-talking/no-device policy, so expect some extra light and/or people not using their inside voice. Food is standard cinema fare.

They'd do well to leave the arts to more capable, closeby venues and focus on being a great cinema (starting with a stricter policy, and a kitchen, ala Alamo Draft House) rather than a so-so arts space.
