Rica Helsfyr Hotel Review

Great place very close the city. Quit and nice area outside. Some traffic problems around but nothing over the ordinary.

The place was ok. Nothing fancy. Breakfast Buffet was fine.

Nice and professional people working there. Good breakfast... No open wishes...

Very clean and nice premises. Friendly staff. Rooms are cozy and had a nice view overlooking a hill. Breakfast buffet had a good spread and healthy options too.

Sandic Helsfyr from Oslo, correct and clean room, comfortable beds. Clean bathroom, maybe missing amenities. Restaurant service very attentive.

Nice hotel, located close to metro and shops. WiFi works fine, screen sharing to the TV was a bit unstable, and lacked a fridge in the room (Was in the other room fridge)

It has good common facilities.
The rooms are quite deteriorated.
In the dining room, there is a lack of personnel to be well cared for.
At breakfast yesterday, August 8, 2017, we had to sit at tables where the dishes of the previous clients had not yet been removed.
At dinner the day before there was only one waiter to serve the entire dining room.
It is close to the Oslo Helsfyr metro line 2 station, six stops from the center of Oslo.

Nice hotel, the room is very spacious, 4 beds, clean, clean bathroom and free parking. You do not need to book a large place
And breakfast is very, very wonderful. I did not expect it to be this wonderful

Boring industrial area. Delicious breakfast buffet. Something worn hotel, evening buffet boring. Good service at reception.

Okay hotel. We had the junior suite on the 8th floor.
Not very much view even from that height.
The hotel uses magnetic cards as a key, easy to demagnetize.

Very nice service in general. For some reason check out online did not work, but it is not to blame the hotel for that.

Rooms are dirty, the whole hotel seems neglected, no service, it is noisy, too close to the highway.

Had a really nice one night stay with family. Clean rooms and tasty breakfast. Reservation was easy and quick to do in the internet.

First and last time. Booked one junior suite in hopes that it would be some space and a little cozy here. It's the most stubborn I've seen. Five beds in a row. Not a chair or space for anything else. I said I had booked a suite, but he at the front desk decided that this is a suite and there is nothing he can do about it. There is a double room where three extra beds are forced into. Simply stubborn. For 5000 kroner. Then I could book a double room with extra beds elsewhere.

Felt like herring in the barrel and that I was not seen as a guest. The receptionist who checked me in just in the screen .. and those who checked me out too. I find a better place next trip to Oslo

Nice place to stay. Free parking. Short distance to bus and T-lane.

The parking conditions are a scandal. Scandic has approx. 30 seats for the entire hotel, so if you arrive late, which we did, you have to either park 300m away in a gravel parking lot or on an adjacent parking at parking prices. We paid 700 NOK for one night and 460 NOK for 12 hour parking! Otherwise the hotel is ok.

I found the hotel to be excellent. The attached resturant is fantastic and it has an incredible breakfast. Never have I felt so good about waking up. Nice facilities and fitness room.

Damaged bed, cold eggs at breakfast and bad bar facilities.

Very good big soundproof rooms for when you bring a dog with you.

Far enough space, but has a ventilation system that is constantly arguing, a refrigerator that does not cool .. window without a hook. Also experienced earlier that both hot water and Wi-Fi were down for several hours.

Nice room but lousy restaurant. Burned ready-made food at high price, rooms that lack glass and no information on Wifi. Don't be Scandic next time. Disappointing!

We have stayed at the Scandic Helsfyr several times and like it. The rooms are large (8th floor) and clean, so the bath is. Breakfast is included and great, parking is free and the staff is friendly. The missing 5th star is due to the little number of seats available in the lobby and bar area. We certainly come back.

Rooms like any roadside hotel in Spain. It needs a good reform. Travelplan has given us a change. In the brochure we had a hotel of 4 in the center and in the end we ended up in this one of 3 (in theory) and quite far from the center. Hotel not recommended. Regular cleaning

Scandic Helsfyr was a nice and simple hotel. A great playroom. A fragrant lobby :) good breakfast for young and old. Good service.

Great service, very varied and plentiful breakfast, clean and tidy rooms with everything you need. Free and fast WiFi. Only shortcoming (if you really must find a negative point) is the lack of a safe in the room.

Helsfyr, Oslo. Poor refilled breakfast. Poor lighting in the room. Bad information when you arrived at the hotel. Slightly close to public transport.

It's the fourth time I'm in this hotel for work reasons. The situation is perfect for my office.
Still, unfortunately, I will look for a new hotel for next time. The reception staff is, remarkably, very unfriendly. They take little care of the details. (As a curious example, in the checking of today they have only spoken to me to ask the number of nights.Not a single word more.The information of schedules, wifi, etc. you provide it in a photocopy of surprisingly low quality paper, little agreed to a modern hotel, I enclose photo.)
The breakfast is very good, excellent. The rooms very comfortable.
But, I insist, kindness and good education is an indispensable requirement for me. And this hotel does not keep it.

Big rooms, but there are dirty and smelly carpets both in the rooms and in the hallways. Nice breakfast room with good selection.

Good comfortable rooms , but the personal in the disks are not warm ore welcoming.

The rooms are decent but the buffet was very poor. NOK 275 for dry potatoes and bank meat as the only heat right at 1900 in the afternoon was poor

The room is old and worn, lacks noise insulation in the windows, does not close properly, a lot of noise from E6.
- was lucky to get one room in the new wing, here noise insulates the windows well. There are large construction projects underway in the north and east so it is important.
I finally found a gym and sauna in the basement, it's nice.
The potatoes for dinner had been lying around for a long time, after cooking they had become hard on the outside, the corn was exactly the same, it seemed dry (today's dinner), when I asked for the house wine they could not tell anything about it and they did not know which one was best. of today ...
The fire alarm goes off twice a week, and today we lost power ... blamed on the construction work of the neighbors.

Satisfied with the stay and the service I got LAST I booked Scandic Helsfyr. Think they are one of the few hotels in Oslo that let me check in. The hotel is recommended.

Bedrooms were comfortable enough. Staff were brilliant but it was holiday time in Oslo which meant that the bar was not open? Hotel and area under renovation so it is difficult to say anymore. Expect that there will be improvements.

its located closer to Helsfyr metro and bus stand 5 minutes drive from Oslo Centre. Hotel provides lunch for visitors and cost 200 kr, fairly good lunch with good atmosphere
