I first came here for the 2015 Nutcracker Ballet. Everything was just so beautiful. The Chinese dancers were very beautiful, but of course, my favorite part was the Waltz of the Flowers. The best part of my experience was getting to buy a girl nutcracker as a souvenir. Would definitely consider coming here again for future events.

Gorgeous theater, very friendly staff, and the show we went to was fantastic! It's definitely worth buying the extra package for the hospitality suite - it was really nice getting to have a couple of drinks and relax with some hors devours before the show. Overall I love this venue and I hope to come back soon!

OMG... I saw the Blues Brothers here. What could be more Joliet than that?! They also have other movies usually in Thursday s that are fun and affordable. Nice drink selection served by tuxedoed volunteers.

No one can argue the theater is gorgeous. However we were there for a dance competition and someone's car window was smashed in.A homeless was seen walking around the parking lot checking car doors. This place needs a stronger police presence or security so people feel safer.

Been here a few times for some comedians and it was a beautiful old facility that requires a walk through a shady neighborhood. Saw both Lisa Lampanelli and Lewis Black here, so I would suggest buying tix early to get good seats, but no bad seats in the entire house!

The pictures are not great and definitely don't do the theatre justice. Absolutely beautiful. I went to see Finding Neverland, the acoustics are great. For me the seats are small. I would like to get better pictures

The first theater on the Mother Road, others will follow as the Route 66 crosses. The Rialto Square Theater is at 102 N Chicago St. You can not go past this one. theater without noticing its superb facade which mixes the antique and neo-classical styles of the eighteenth century. It was inaugurated in 1926. It was also used at the time of movie theater. It is a must on Route 66.

Every time I go to this theater I am amazed. From the ornate architecture to the intimacy of watching bands up close and personal, I never stop feeling in awe!

Most recently we went to watch reels and the Rialto and they were showing Bohemian Rhapsody. Being in a setting like that with the audience it was like being at an actual concert. Extremely interactive and it felt like I was watching a movie with hundreds of my friends.

It is always a joy to see all of the ticket takers and people that work there because you can tell they enjoy what they're doing. The only thing that I would kindly suggest is to have more than one bartender at the upstairs bars when it is a sold out event. Just to get people moved back into their seats faster.

I wish I had the finances to be able to host an event there but in the meantime any chance I get to go back I will!

Our 1st trip to this historic building. They offer tours of this wonder so we will be back. The highlight was before the performance the pipe organ came up from out of the floor, & played for almost an hour. I really enjoyed seeing this 14 carat gold trim organ sounding amazing. My whole family loved this mid-week movie.
This venue was clean & preserved to perfection. The staff was very kind & sweet to my grandsons. A lovely night.

We saw Dwight Yokum in concert. Even though we were in the 1st balcony the seats were still very good. Bathrooms were in easily accessible areas. Staff members and security officers were all very nice and helpful.

Beautiful theatre! Historic and part of Illinois Route 66! Check out the Rialto's Square Theatre's website for tours of the theatre! They walk you behind the scenes, tell you about the history of the theatre, you see the Green Room, and you learn about their amazing chandelier!

Thanks for reading my review!

Classic vaudvilliane theater now mostly used for live music and other community events. Eligant design and artwork apparent every where. Worth the visit to see who is performing just to see this exquisite space.

Great venue and affordable tickets. Friendly staff and convenient parking BUT very disappointing experience at the Tusk Fleetwood Mac tribute concert. Sound person was the WORST I have ever experienced anywhere. At times could not hear the singers over the instruments and at other times could not hear the instruments at all due to the singers being too loud. The mix was HORRIBLE. During the first set an audience member got on stage and tried to signal TIME OUT to the band because something was obviously wrong and she was tackled by security, not sure of her intentions, I assume. More than a few people walked out of the concert early and in the lobby all the talk was FIRE THE SOUND MAN!!! Too bad really, because TUSK appears to be a very talented group, but they were not at there best at this performance.

They wanted my 8 month old to have a ticket for an event for the Park District. He can't even sit in a seat by himself. I understand that times are hard in Joliet, but c'mon. It's a beautiful facility and one worker had enough common sense to allow us through, but then the older gentleman on the second floor continued the idiocy. Again, a beautiful facility, but completely lacking common sense for ticketing.
